    Bahamas weather October

What’s the weather like in Bahamas in October?

    Geographical influences

The Bahamas boast over 700 beautiful islands in the north Atlantic, to the east of the Caribbean. The northern islands, close to Florida, are slightly cooler and wetter than those in the south, near Cuba. The islands are low and flat and warm Gulf Stream weather sweeps across them, with little difference between coastal and inland temperatures.

The superb weather in Bahamas in October sees an average daytime high temperature of 30°C, which can rise by a couple of degrees around the southern islands. The moderate ocean breeze will help to keep you fresh. At night, the temperature will fall to around 20°C. The humidity and the UV levels are high, so use plenty of sunblock and carry water when you’re out in the daytime sun. You’ll need a waterproof jacket as showers are expected across 20 wet-weather days around the Bahamas in October. You’ll want to make the most of the sunshine in the tropical Atlantic climate. There’ll be about seven hours each day, on average, and the sun doesn’t set until nearly 7pm at the start of the month. The water temperature will be an incredible 26°C.
