“Not worth the money for a numb arse on your sunbed”

I rarely complain about much, but I have to say I was so utterly Disappointed with this hotel. I spent 10 days here with my partner and son. It cost me a small fortune and what a fleece. 1 They never even made his bed up, I had to call down twice when we arrived. A sheet and a blanket were chucked on his bed, no duvet and 1 pillow! Had to call again to ask for another pillow and a duvet as he was freezing all night. 2 Called down for two glasses of milk and they charged me $15 dollars without a tip! Only wanted a couple of cups of tea.! 3 The sunbeds are like laying on a concrete slab. I’ve never been to such a high end hotel and had sun loungers so uncomfortable. Then if you want a padded one they expect you to pay $253 for a double lounger and a cool box! Day light robbery at its finest! We had 3 drinks, 1 pina colada, 1 gin and tonic, 1 sprite and the bill was $80 with a tip. They came out in cheap plastic cups I’d give to a 2 year olds party! Again another wind up for so much money. No wonder the pool area was dead everyday. I literally got so uncomfortable and annoyed I went back to bed to rest. 4 The $50 car valet you have to pay daily, a total cheek, plus another $3.25 have your pants down tax of some kind added daily. 5 All the food including breakfast is overpriced and underwhelming to say the least. 6 The last day there when we asked for a late check out of 2 hours, they wouldn’t allow it as I’d booked through 3rd party. Wanted to charge me another $100. By this point I was so angry I emailed a manager and complained. I’d spent a fortune there in those 10 days and it’s disgusting. They then allowed it! 7 when checking out it two people to figure out the incorrect charges and to count our money 3 times. They tried to charge us again for 1 night and said we hadn’t paid, we had and I had to show my bank statement to prove it. Then charged for things on the mini bar we hadn’t touched. Round up - Nice looking hotel and room, got so much potential but no way worth the money.

“A Very Good Stay, but…”

There is a lot of good about this hotel. In particular, a gentleman, I believe named Carter, who seemed to be a “jack of all trades”, as I saw him multiple times throughout multiple areas of the property doing multiple things; maybe he’s in management training or what not, but he was very kind, personable and friendly, and was a great ambassador of the Conrad property. He’s fantastic! There were a lot of very kind, genuinely warm, caring, staff here- not across the boards, but definitely the vast majority. I had just recently completed a very poor, one-week stay at the Conrad downtown New York City, so I came here very skeptical. Also, we arrived very late from Los Angeles (at about 1 AM), and it was very confusing as to how to get to the main hotel. Then, while checking in and heading to the room, I noticed a decent amount of debris on the carpeting in the guest hallways etc., which always is a hot point for me. We had a large room for the first 2 nights, and then with the assistance of the very kind and responsive Anna-Laura, we then upgraded to a Lagoon view, one-bedroom suite for the rest of the seven-night stay. Water pressure is subpar in the shower, and our last evening, which was this past Friday night, there was very loud, thump, thump, thump music coming from one of the venues across the property. Thank God, it finally stopped at about 9 to 9:30 PM, but this was much too late to be hearing music from within one’s very expensive room or suite, especially with how many children come to the Orlando properties. No one wants to pay this kind of money and then hear that nonsense from within one’s hotel room. I hope management and ownership take heed. The hotel gym is very good, and the property is very nice and expansive. Room service was excellent across the boards, which we had at least twice a day. The “Little Spoon” market in the lobby was great. We ate twice at the Italian restaurant, and it was not good both times, unfortunately. The pizza and pasta etc. have very little flavor. All the staff, however, were very accommodating. Final thoughts: it was an acceptable stay; however, it comes up towards Four Seasons Orlando pricing, and it’s nowhere at that level. Then, it’s literally twice as much as the JW Bonnet Creek, which is excellent and actually has an edge on the Conrad.

“Not a 5-Star Experience / Noise, Construction and Poor Service”

Very disappointing – Construction noise everywhere and service far below 5-star standards We are currently staying at the Conrad Orlando, and our experience has been extremely disappointing. Our first room overlooked a construction site. After complaining, we were moved to another room, but the noise disturbances continued. Our new room is located in a corner, directly facing other guest rooms, offering very little privacy and a disappointing view. Noise is present almost everywhere: outside, during breakfast, in the rooms, in the corridors and even around the swimming pool. This morning, drilling started at 8 AM. We have video evidence documenting the noise disturbances, including drilling starting at 8 AM Despite these repeated inconveniences, we have received no proper apology. The service is simply not up to the standards expected from a hotel carrying the Conrad name, especially at these prices. Even more concerning, my children and I cannot consume cow’s milk, and we have repeatedly informed the hotel. Nevertheless, at the hotel’s Italian restaurant, I was served pasta containing cream despite having clearly explained my dietary restrictions. I could not eat my meal. We chose this hotel expecting a luxurious, peaceful stay with attentive service. Instead, we have experienced constant disturbances, disappointing accommodation and a lack of consideration for our concerns. We have videos documenting the noise disturbances. For a hotel of this category and price, this experience is simply unacceptable.

“Excellent property”

Wow, the hotel was great! We stayed a couple nights. The spa was incredible, and the whole property was clean and beautiful. John at the beach bar was great along with whole staff at the hotel! All the hotel restaurants were very good (Everermore twins restaurant was not good but it’s not part of the hotel). We will be going back!

“Staycation”

Visiting friends who are staying on property. The valet team was awesome and extremely patient while this mom unloaded the baby and her things. We dined at papaya which was great. The hostess, Jennifer, made our experience easy and convenient. She really went above and beyond to make our experience a memorable one.
