For days by the sea, hop on the hotel shuttle bus to the famous, much-photographed Olu Deniz, which is 4km away. As well as chilling on the beach and exploring the Blue Lagoon nature reserve, make sure you catch the sunset from one of the rooftop bars and restaurants while you’re there. For more incredible views, follow the walking trails up Babadag Mountain (16.5km from Hisaronu). It’s totally worth it for the breathtaking vistas of pine-clad mountains, colourful valleys, sandy coves and the sparkling Med.

There’s a local experience of a different kind much closer to your lounger, too. With Turkish cuisine served on the buffet in the main restaurant, you won’t have to go far at all to try some mouthwatering regional dishes. It’s open for breakfast and dinner, with the option to make the most of the weather and dine alfresco if you like. There's also an a la carte restaurant. Both offer kids’ options, which should help keep your little adventurers happy.

After all that, you’re going to want somewhere comfy to rest your head.
