One expects a 5 star hotel, however general facilities not even match 4, and service below 3 stars. We needed to leave at 07.30 and we dis not ger any possibility to get a quick bite, not even a cup of coffee nor in the breakfast room, neither anywhere in the so called 5 star hotel. Room small, no balcony, view on a dump on the side of the hotel. No one has service jn their DnA, just the hard procedures that clearly are carbed in stone not to help any guest. Plane arrives late, booked hotel driver does not want to wait at airport. My god, take another hotel as this will not meet any expecation.

Breakfast disappointing

Nice and clean hotel however the cooked breakfast items are very basic. Not allowed to take any fruit or water to your room as we experienced and was left feeling embarrassed as front of house confiscated some watermelon and water off us. Not what you expect when you pay a lot of money to stay at a 5 star hotel .

Needs a lot of updating to be a real 5 star hotel

The hotel has real potential but sadly needs a lot of updating and is not really a 5 star hotel. We visited the hotel around 12 years ago and it’s exactly the same. We stayed in the Los Monteros suite which was huge and the bed was really comfortable but the room looks tired and is in desperate need of a make over. The carpet was dirty and paint coming off the walls, the furniture was very old. The bathroom in the suite was really big with heated floors, toiletries provided were really nice. Lots of wardrobe space. One thing I will say is housekeeping are really good our room was cleaned really well every day. Breakfast at the hotel was ok, it was the same every day but there was a lot of choice. Generally the staff at the hotel where really lovely they all made a fuss of our 3 year old boy. The hotel is in a residential area which suited us just fine as we were able to pop into the centre by car. As hotel guests we got a discount to the Le Cabana beach club which was one of the highlights of our trip. It was still expensive, £125 for a VIP bed but it was worth it to us. We really wanted to love it here and we still had a great time but in order to feel like you are at a real 5 star hotel a lot of refurbishment needs to be done.
