“Amazing hotel and team!”

I had a fabulous stay at this hotel! Everything was perfect, from the beautiful facilities to the excellent service and friendly staff. The atmosphere was wonderful, and I felt welcome and comfortable throughout my stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would love to come back again!

“Top place”

Very large Hôtel but one feels cosy ! Very nice outdoor and pool areas, great gym, amazing breakfast .. super kind service , very nice and modern and comfy rooms.

“It’s Okay. No way a 5*”

We have just returned home from a 3 night stay at OKU Ibiza. Advertised as a 5* hotel in San Antonio. This trip was part of our Mini Moon. So I had asked in advance if a welcome gift for my wife was possible. This was kindly accepted. Which I was very grateful for. When we arrived at OKU, we were impressed with the look of the hotel and the gardens that are part of the hotel. It’s a beautiful looking hotel. No complaints there. Upon check in which was admittedly an early check in, it became apparent that we were in block 3, the family block. Which I was worried about before (maybe I should have pre booked a different block, not sure if this is possible) where you just don’t feel part of it, an after thought. It’s across the road from the main pool and bar area. This isn’t mentioned on the site when you book so beware. Our view in the room was appalling. Bins and car park. There was also no welcome gesture. You are also going to have €100 per a night you are there temporarily blocked from your credit card. A new one for me. Make sure it comes back quickly as I’ve seen other reviews that have waited weeks for it to come back. Could be a bank issue. They’ll say it is anyway. After sitting on the issues for a while, feeling quite disappointed. I decided to go and complain about the room and lack of gesture. We had paid good money to come to a 5* and the experience so far was far from it. The front of house reception staff took the issue very seriously and after one night we were allowed to move across to block 2 with a pool view. Which was marvellous. Albeit we had to sit on the balcony and watch bins for night 1. The staff also then came up with a welcome gesture which was very nice, but in all honesty a bit too late after we had checked in and complained about not having it. Which was internally blamed on the early check in. The pool bar is extremely expensive, €20+ for cocktails. Which is by far the most I’ve seen cocktails to be in Ibiza. I’m an experienced islander and I’ve been lucky enough to stay in most big name SA & PdB hotels and these prices honestly surprised me. I refused to pay it. No value at all. The most acceptable drink on the menu was an iced latte which was €7. For ref. After this stay we had a night at the excellent new Bless The Site Hotel and even their top end cocktails were less and better. So beware. Another odd situation, the pool waiters are petrified of you walking off and not paying your bill. My wife left her sun bed to go and pay our bill and was chased down on her way to the bar to pay. The staff are obviously told the money is coming out of their wages if anyone leaves without paying. So for goodness sake make sure you pay before you even look like you’re walking anywhere, even if it is to pay your bill. Your empty glasses are also snatched away before you can put them down in an attempt to get more money out of you. The breakfast is excellent. Lovely food and a good range of options. You do have to wait quite a long time for a coffee to arrive though, which unfortunately were usually lukewarm. Some of the staff seem miserable. I know it’s the end of the season, but Jesus would a smile kill one of them?! The blonde lady manning breakfast is an exception to this, who always made an effort. The location would be an issue for most people, we knew what was around it and were prepared to walk/taxi/bus, so no worries for us. But you aren’t close to anything major. The best thing about the location is you are next door to the Cubanita rooftop bar, which is amazing. Upon check out. Another issue, we were wrongly billed €9 for a protein bar we hadn’t had, luckily I had taken pictures as proof. This was swiftly removed from our bill, but another thing to look out for. I have seen others complain of this also. Overall we wouldn’t return, it’s simply not worth the money. It’s nowhere near a 5*. It feels soulless and struggles to meet the standards of other hotels around that are cheaper and a better vibe. Sadly we were dissatisfied in a number of areas. I had even debated leaving if I could have got a refund, but we weren’t on the island long enough really. In hindsight I wish I had as it’s not a 5* experience. 4* at absolute best. The only thing 5* is the prices unfortunately. The Amaré, Innside Melia, Cubanita and Paradiso Art Hotel are far superior on this side of the island. Save your money folks, there is better out there.

“Excellent hotel – stylish, relaxed and exceptional service”

We had an excellent stay at OKU Ibiza and would happily return. The hotel is beautifully styled throughout. There’s so much attention to detail, from the interiors to the gorgeous planting and gardens, which give the whole hotel a really lush, relaxed feel. The pool area was a real highlight. The sunbeds are probably the best we’ve ever had – incredibly wide and comfortable – and we loved the atmosphere around the pool. The afternoon DJ sets were particularly good, starting off chilled and gradually increasing the tempo as the afternoon went on, but always in a tasteful way. It felt very Ibiza without ever becoming too loud or over the top. Breakfast was superb, both in terms of quality and variety, and the gym was excellent – far better equipped than you often find in a hotel. Our room was spacious, stylish and very comfortable. At check-in we were offered the opportunity to upgrade to a suite at a very sensible additional cost, which we were delighted with and felt was excellent value. What really stood out was the service. The staff throughout the hotel were extremely well trained, friendly and professional, and the level of customer service was consistently excellent. The valet parking was also incredibly efficient and made having a hire car completely hassle-free. OKU gets the balance just right: beautiful design, lovely gardens, excellent facilities, great food and music, but with a relaxed atmosphere and genuinely good service. A fabulous hotel

“Great Hotel”

The hotel is beautiful. And the hotel has two pools, one for family’s and one adults only. Our concierge, Manuel, was so helpful. I would definitely stay there again!
