Maritim Antonine Hotel & Spa

Maritim Antonine Hotel & Spa is nestled in the hillside village of Mellieha, on the northern coast of Malta. Renowned for its panoramic views and peaceful setting, this is the ideal choice for a laid-back and serene retreat. Upon arrival, we recommend heading to the rooftop terrace for incredible vistas of the Mediterranean sea. Here you can grab a drink from the poolside bar, or take a refreshing dip in the water. Malta is also a diver’s paradise, so don’t miss the scuba dive trials every Monday and Thursday in the hotel gardens. Here you’ll be taught how to explore the underwater world like a pro. Families can also take their littles ones for a splash around in the wading pool.

After a day of exploring the Maltese islands, pamper yourself with one of the many treatments at the resort spa. Designed to invigorate, its thermal suite features an ice grotto, freshwater jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. From oxygenating facials to full body mud wraps, the experience will leave you feeling refreshed in mind and body. There's also a treatment menu for the younger guests to enjoy, with pedicures, manicures and slumber party packages. Want to keep on top of your fitness goals? The onsite gym is fully equipped to ensure you stay inspired and motivated with instructors and trainers on hand.

When dining at Maritim Antonine Hotel & Spa, you have three spectacular eateries to choose from. The hotel's main restaurant, Les Jardins, serves up hearty Mediterranean dishes. Head to the rooftop for authentic Thai cuisine, or Al Ponte to feast on stone-baked pizzas fresh from the oven. During the summer months, you can enjoy an outdoor barbeque with live entertainment by the Garden pool. Cakes and coffees are continuously available.

In the evening, you can dance the night away at Le Mirage Cocktail Bar, which offers live music on most nights. For a traditional English pub experience, make your way to the 120 Bar and watch all the major sporting events on the big screen.

All rooms at the Maritim Antonine Hotel & Spa are luxurious, complete with a private balcony for that quiet evening drink. There are a variety of room types to suit individuals, friends, couples and families. A TV, hairdryer, air conditioning and coffee making facilities are available as standard. Or upgrade to a deluxe and relish perks such as a hot tub and private pool.

Historic sights are within walking distance of the hotel, with the famous Our Lady of the Grotto and the Mellieha Air Raid Shelter just two minutes up the road. If you fancy a day trip, drive 40 minutes into St. Julians and the capital, Valletta where you can explore cathedrals, museums and the Maltese carnival (every February or March). For a taste of local life, explore the nearby hillside town of Mellieha, just five minutes by car or 20 minutes by foot. You’ll be welcomed by a range of cosy local restaurants alongside Malta’s largest sandy beach, Mellieha Bay. Here you’ll find plenty of sports to keep you entertained, with windsurfing, kite surfing, canoeing, water skiing and an inflatable platform for kids. Venture a further 10 minutes down the road to Cirkewwa and catch the ferry to the island of Gozo and Comino.

Maritim Antonine Hotel & Spa is approximately 45 minutes from Malta International Airport.

Have stayed in this hotel a few times but feel standards have dropped a little, we feel that it needs a little upgrade and boost among staff moral, some reception staff not pleasant! it seems to have lost it's 4* touch !!! No service on roof -top pool.. need more plugs in rooms no charging points for cell phones, ball of hair under door for duration of our stay ,but otherwise quit clean, Would like to thank Ivan Drago in the Bar you really are the king of cocktails and finding gold rings in chairs!! thanks to those who participated in the disassembly of the very expensive chair and eventually finding the ring... recommend the Spa i had an awesome back and foot massage, unfortunately the indoor pool is just way too hot, not the water but the pool area it's just not healthy with hot air pumping out!! especially with Covid... To sum up we had a pleasant stay breakfast was ok even with the Covid regulations be patient..! the hotel is in a great location shops and restaurant all round, but if you want quiet book a room with pool view, we like the road with life and church bells ringing from 730am... with lateral view of the sea and Gozo.

Nice but overpriced hotel

There is a nice rooftop outdoor pool with a welcome drink. The view from the rooftop is amazing. The room was cosy and clean, with a small but nice balcony. The breakfast was really delicious with a nice champagne. Free towels were provided for the pool. The beach is not far, but the steep path is pretty challenging.
