Dionysos is set on the Greek island of Rhodes, on its northern coastline. It's a short walk from Ixia's long pebble beach, so you'll be able to get to the Aegean sea at a moment's notice. The hotel is set among trees and shrubs, offering a peaceful and relaxing setting. At its centre, there's a swimming pool area which features two swimming pools and one shallow pool for children. The highlight of the pool area is its swim-up bar, where you can order drinks without leaving the water. There are also seating areas under pergolas if you would prefer to sit in the shade during the day. If you're looking for things to do other than sunbathing, the hotel has gardens to walk around, a mini market and various activities to get stuck into, including aqua aerobics. There's also a playground for children, to keep them entertained during the day. In the evening, you can enjoy meals in one of the hotel's restaurants which each offer different cuisines. Some provide outdoors dining under pergolas or in a tree-lined courtyard with atmospheric lighting. There'll also be nightly entertainment which usually includes family-friendly singing, dancing, Greek nights and magician shows.

Along the seafront of Ixia, you'll find the town's restaurants, offering a mix of cuisines, as well as low-key bars and a few traditional Greek bakeries. 2km from the hotel, you'll find a shopping centre along the promenade. You'll also be 2.5km from Rhodes Town. The old part of the town is a UNESCO World Heritage site and the oldest inhabited medieval town in Europe, known for its winding alleys and Gothic architecture. There's also plenty of shops and boat tours from the harbour to keep all the family entertained.

During your stay at Dionysos you can enjoy an American-style breakfast in one of the buffet restaurants. There's also a Greek-Mediterranean breakfast option in the ‡ la carte restaurant. For dinner you can choose between Mexican and Greek-International dishes in the other ‡ la carte restaurants. Snacks, coffee and cocktails are available from the bars.

At Dionysos you can challenge friends and family to a game of tennis, mini golf, pool table or football. There's also table tennis here too.

The rooms at Dionysos each feature air conditioning, a TV, high-speed Wi-Fi, a separate dining area, a fridge with a freezer and a safe.

Rhodes holiday stay at Dionysos Hotel

Jun 2022 | Giovanna C

The Dionysos Hotel may not look like the swankiest Hotel but it has beautiful gardens, a fantastic pool and plenty of sun bathing beds for guests. You can choose to stay B&B or half board, it also has a few restaurants/bars on site. The rooms are very spacious and conformable, lovely sized balcony. The staff are very friendly and it's is very well cleaned and maintained throughout the day. It has a different form if entertainment each evening or you can walk out to local bars/restaurants min 10 walk away. It's a good location close to the beach and you can walk (30-45 minutes) or take a bus/taxi to Rhodes City. Although there are plenty of other hotels in the area, I felt we made the best choice for us. This was our first trip to Rhodes, we found it to be beautiful and ultra clean. With the heat of the sun there was for me the added benefit most days of a beautiful breeze off the sea.

Excellent for the price

All in all this is a hotel I would recommend to couples and families. We were to separate bookings (1 adult 1 child each) and were told via email we could have 1 room. When we arrived at 0300hrs we were very disappointed to find out this was not the case. 1 of the rooms was a ground floor apartment that was very dark and dreary that actually scared the 6 year old. The other room was on the second floor, bright spacious and big enough for all 4 of us. For the price we paid, the hotel itself along with the food was excellent and the pool is magnificent. The best part of the hotel for sure was the pool bar and Panos who runs the pool bar is by far the best part of the hotel! He could never do enough for you. We were there while the complaint about music was written and it was actioned straight away. I personally disagree about the volume as it can o ly be heard from the bar itself, if you want to sleep go to your room! I hope the hotel passes on the very high praises to Panos!!

Just so brilliant

Spent two glorious weeks there enjoying the fantastic pools and beautiful food. Room was excellent and had a sea view which included the Turkish mainland, didn’t expect that. The staff are all amazing, every single one of them. If I had one complaint it would be the volume of the bass heavy music playing from the pool bar, particularly in the afternoons.
