Located on the eastern coast of Corfu, Aeolos Beach Resort is set on a tree-covered hillside, with gardens sloping down to the private beach, equipped with sunbeds and umbrellas. There’s two outdoor pools, including an infinity pool that maximises the view across the Ionian Sea. If you wish to keep fit, you can make use of the onsite gym and tennis courts. Or you may prefer to join an aqua aerobics session. Alternatively, take it easy and visit the spa to relax in the sauna, receive a massage or book a beauty treatment.
Little ones (aged 4-12) can join the mini club, where there’s morning and afternoon sessions. In the evening they have their own disco. The kids also have a play area and a separate pool just for them. While for everyone there’s a full day and evening soft animation program. This includes competitions, live music and folklore dancing.
The main restaurant is open for buffet meals, dishing up a wide range of homemade foods, including kid friendly and gluten free options. The hotel was awarded the ‘Greek Breakfast Award’ for using local ingredients and serving dishes from every region of Greece. Paralia offers an additional place to dine, with its beachfront setting. At lunchtime there’s a buffet comprising pasta, pizza, salads and desserts. In the evening an a la carte service is offered. You’ll get one included dinner here, allowing you to revel in a gourmet selection of regional dishes, accompanied by wine or another beverage of your choice.
The Lagoon Snack Bar allows you to grab light bites between meals. If you’re planning to go on a day trip a picnic basket can be requested (additional charge). Further places to grab a refreshing drink can be found on the beach (open until 6pm), poolside and in the lobby (open until 2am). The All Inclusive service ends at midnight.
The 330 rooms are located across 12 different buildings. On arrival, you’ll spot the fresh flowers and complimentary bottled water in your room. The TV features satellite channels and includes access to free-to-view movies. The sofa can convert into an additional bed for a third person. If you’re travelling as a Family choose the Bungalow option that suits you. The standard type has a sliding door between the double bed and the sofa bed. While the two bed option has a designated sleeping area for the little ones.
Aeolos Beach Resort is just a 12km drive from Corfu Town. Here, you can’t miss the 16th century Old Fortress, built by the Venetians on the site of a Byzantine castle. This is the best place to get a panoramic photo of the town. And if that wasn’t enough, on a clear day you even see the mountainous coast of Albania. The Old Town has a maze of narrow streets, with an excellent selection of places to shop, eat and drink. If you fancy seeing one of the smaller nearby islands, head to the harbour and catch a boat trip to Paxos, where you’ll find endless olive groves and an unspoilt coastline boasting numerous beaches plus spectacular caves and cliffs.

A mixed bag.
Set out over a hillside.Lovely grounds but steep.Lots of cats! Buggies to get you around were in short supply. Our room was very dark.Attached to the main building so no climbing but not recommended.I called the corridor to our room like walking to a prison cell. Food was OK but very much like a canteen. Wine was undrinkable and coffee not much better. Upper pool was lovely to sit around with a nice bar attached ,but freezing cold water. Lovely views. Lots of leaks when it rained! Dangerous road outside to walk along. Very much a mixed bag.
A game of two halves.
This hotel has so much to offer and so much potential, but unfortunately the rooms are not up there on that list. Our room(602 I think) was damp, moisture running down the wall and mouldy smelling, it was actually so bad that when we went to visit friends in Paleo we decided to stay there two nights. It was also under a stairwell and while we love cats, clearly there toilet was right outside our door. I think we were unlucky in the room we were given and had a not been travelling with an autistic child, I would possibly have asked to move. The room was filthy, we were slipping on the floor in our shoes when we arrived so we removed them thinking it had just been cleaned, within 10mins our socks were black. The room had no extractor fan in the shower so every day the smoke alarm went off and our room filled up with the steam, with no way of escaping. The room also go no sun, adding to the damp issue. Also meant we could not dry any of our swimming thing. The moisture in this room was so bad, all of our clothes felt damp. The pools and grounds here are amazing, as are the a la carte restaurants, but the buffet was horrendous, we were here end of season, so I have no idea how it is managed in high season. The staff are nice and the bus service right outside is a big bonus. The beach whilst small is pleasant as is the pizza/pasta buffet restaurant at the beach.
Once again.
Well here we are once again. Sixth time visit. This time for a whole month. Mad aren't we.....or are we? Being canny parsimonious Yorkshire people we love a bargain. I won't tell you the pricing structure of the tour operator we used but let's just say for £600 we stayed for an extra two weeks each on top of the standard two week price. A no brainer as especially the exact same holiday next year is currently priced at over £4000. The weather, which is out of control of the hotel, was fabulous. In 28 days of our visit it only rained twice. It was quite comical watching the head gardener buzzing round on his scooter with an umbrella up. As always our stay was fabulous. Attentive staff everywhere apart from an evening blip where the main restaurant seemed to be struggling with the number of diners. The food choice was vast with plenty to eat and replenishments arriving as soon as one lot ran out. We both have a wide taste in food so good to see themed events two or three times a week. Nice to see the addition, from last year, of an outdoor verandah onto the dining room great views to be had from there. It's very pleasing to see the number of staff who recognised us both from previous visits and the general bemusement when we said we were here for a month. All the staff kept themselves busy but still managed a moment or two to have a chat with us. The room was clean and bedding or towels changed every day depending on when the room was on the rota. Bar staff were very efficient switching languages seemlessly between French, German and of course English for us lazy Brits. I must also say that all the guests,as far as we could see, got on with each other very well with courtesy being shown on just about all occasions. Well done to one and all. The hotels gardens were kept spick and span by a small army of workers who kept themselves busy. Well done boys. We were fairly near the top of the resort but no problems the golf buggy took us to our room when requested. Thank you Spiros you are a lovely man. We must admit we are sounding a bit like ambassadors for this hotel but we are not blind to little cracks in the hotel system. But all in all this hotel is in an envious position with more than reasonable food and drink clean but simple rooms but most of all a dedicated staff that coped with any situation that was thrown at them. It did feel they were being stretched it little too far sometimes but they coped admirably. Pavlos you are a love. Never change who you are. Thank you for a fabulous four weeks. Chris and Helen Airey. Like James Bond " we will be back"
