Golden Mare - All Inclusive

Golden Mare Resort is located close to the long white pebble beach of Barbati, on the northeastern coast of Corfu. Nestled between rugged mountains and the sapphire blue sea, the view couldn’t be more picturesque. If you don’t fancy the short walk down to the coast, there’s a complimentary minibus service operating at least five times per day.

The onsite Wellness Club provides an opportunity to relax in the sauna or Jacuzzi. Here you can also book massages and beauty treatments such as manicures and facials. Alternatively, bathe in the sun on one of the loungers, adjacent to the large outdoor pool.

Once a week the hotel hosts a Greek Night, you can watch performances of dances from different parts of the country. On other days of the week international entertainment is provided for guests. Those who prefer a less lively experience, may wish to visit the library or cinema instead. Guests who like competitive sports haven’t been forgotten, as there’s pool and table tennis, in addition to a fully equipped gym.

When you wish to chill with a drink you’ll have a choice of bars, which include poolside, rooftop and lobby options, serving beverages from 10am-11:30pm. Meals at the main buffet restaurant are included as part of the package or if you fancy a more formal dining experience, the a la carte Galaxy eatery is available for a surcharge. To learn more about Greek food and to see how it’s made, the hotel runs twice weekly cooking lessons, for no additional cost.

Rooms at Golden Mare Resort are equipped with air-conditioning, a 40” TV with satellite channels, WiFi, a safe, a hairdryer and tea & coffee making facilities. Family rooms can accommodate upto either 3 adults and 1 child or 2 grown-ups and 2 kids. If you plan on surfing the net, you don’t need to pack a laptop, as a tablet is available on request.

Those with a head for heights can visit the Monastery Of Pantokrator, with an elevation of 917m above sea level. It was founded in the 14th century and is still actively used today, with around 30 monks currently living there. If that’s not your cup of tea, also nearby are the impressive Nymfes Waterfalls, located in a forest 1.5km outside the village of the same name.
