Bluesun hotel Neptun - All inclusive
500 reviews
Bluesun hotel Neptun All inclusive is an All Inclusive hotel just steps from the beach on Croatia's Dalmatian Coast. A short walk away is the small but popular village of Tucepi. Having emerged as a destination for travellers in the '60s, it's long been known for its shingle beach and promenade that stretches to the neighbouring resort of Podgora. The hotel was partly renovated in 2017. It has an outdoor pool with an integrated section for children, and a pool bar. You'll also have the option to visit the indoor pool at Hotel Alga, a short walk away. As well as swimming and sunbathing, you can use the tennis courts if you fancy getting a game in. Throughout the day, you can take advantage of the All Inclusive offering at the hotel. Main meals are available in the buffet restaurant from early morning until mid-evening, while snacks are offered at one of the hotel's bars later in the afternoon. If you're feeling peckish, afternoon tea and biscuits are served daily. A selection of organised activities, such as exercise classes, are available throughout the day. In the evenings, you can choose to relax on your balcony or terrace, or watch the nightly shows organised by the entertainment team. The local town has stores that stock everything from daily provisions to souvenirs. Guests at Bluesun hotel Neptun All inclusive can also use the onsite shop, which sells items for the beach and other holiday essentials.
As well as being on Tucepi beach, this hotel is a short walk from some popular spots. It's on the Makarska Riviera, a popular stretch of coastline in Croatia which has plenty of coves and small villages to explore. Along the promenade, it's a 1km walk into Tucepi, while the town of Podgora is 4km away. Alternatively, there are several buses that run between the neighbouring towns during the week. Tucepi has a variety of tavernas, or konoba, as Croatians call them. As well as international options, these restaurants serve traditional dishes, with a heavy focus on freshly caught fish and seafood. Further afield is Croatia's second largest city, Split, which you can visit for a day trip. Here you'll find a wide variety of attractions, including Diocletian's Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The hotel's buffet restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Late risers can choose a second breakfast sitting. Water, soft drinks, local juice, draught beer, wine and Croatian brandy are available in the bars from mid-morning until late at night. Midnight snacks are offered, too.
The entertainment team runs daily kids' and teens' clubs. You can play a game of table tennis or pool, and take part in organised games.
Rooms at Bluesun Neptun are decorated in a simple style. As well as air conditioning, you'll have a TV with satellite channels.
Bluesun Neptun has a small shop where you can buy beach equipment, postcards, summer clothes and various accessorises.

Clean beautiful resort. Needs improvements on the catering and hospitality side of things.
Bluesun is in the most stunning of places, right on the Croatian coast in Tučepi. Tučepi is a quiet relaxed small town, minimal nightlife but enough for families with children, places to eat and shops are open late enough. The hotel it's self is clean and well kept to an immaculate standard which was massively noticed and appreciated. Hotel room again stunning and very clean. You have air con but you cannot adjust the settings and its a little noisy when trying to sleep. We stayed on an all inclusive basis, this wasn't very good, the food for breakfast lunch and dinner was very repetitive and bland. Cold meats and soups every meal, strange combinations for lunch and dinner and not very seasoned. We ate out most days and skipped breakfast some days. Staff in the hotel struggle with English which is fair enough as we are in croatia but they were quite rude and abrupt when trying to communicate with us. I am unsure if this is Croatian culture as we were met with this a lot with locals and buisness owners. Don't hold the door open for anyone or expect it help open for you no matter how close you are, it will be left to close even if you have stuff in your hand, you won't be thanked for holding it open for others either. Please and thank you arnt really words used in croatia either and as a English person I found this odd. Drinks on offer are not very nice, the orange and apple juice tastes like a cordial that hasn't been diluted, we would get a apple or orange juice and a water to dilute it. No branded drinks, and the spirits are Croatian and very different to world wide brands, we didn't drink on site because of this so ended up spending a lot more than expected to enjoy drinks of an evening. The entertainment is minimal, aqua size every morning and then some children's pool games around 4pm, no interaction verbally though. Evenings were very quiet and relaxed, a jazz band 3 times, and all finished by 9pm. We opted to go to the local bars which were good. Mainly a bar called micigan which have lovely staff. Over all this hotel is stunning and is a good option for families with young children or older couples, but if you like a good animation team and hotel entertainment of an evening its not the place to go. The pool is brilliant and nice and big, but there is no life guards and this is sign posted, if the was to be an issue you wouldn't be able to find a staff member to help as they are not around. Snack bar...serves chips and biscuits, becomes very repetitive.
Not the greatest hotel but stunning location
So transfer took about 2 hours. There was water on arrival, we needed it as forgot to take any on the coach. We were in room 613 in the main building, first appearance clean and tidy balcony with views of mountains. The room gets the evening sun. The bathroom is very small with a tiny shower. The beds are two singles pushed together, very comfortable but the sheets are too small for the beds and came off constantly revealing the mattress with no mattress protector. Cleaning every day if you want it, the maids are very noisy from 7 o’clock onwards.Often towels were not changed and bins not emptied. On the third day I was horrified to find a pair of dirty knickers not belonging to myself hanging on my towel rail, I took them to reception and did not even get an apology, just that it will be reported!!!The food was ok !! Pretty much the same every night. When I asked the reception staff about the ala carte restaurant they said it was in their other hotel down the road and they wouldn’t recommend it. We ate out on the front quite a lot and the food was very reasonable, but make sure you bring currency with you as the cash points charged ridiculous amounts. The drinks in hotel were very bad, the beer was nice but the wine and soft drinks were awful. The location of the hotel was amazing, the beach was stunning, stones but the sea was completely clear. There were enough sun beds and umbrellas for everyone. Tucepi is beautiful with a great promenade!!! As I’ve said location amazing but wouldn’t rush to stay in the hotel again.
Great location and potential of a fantastic hotel with better management and friendly staff.
Great location, right on the beach and mountains behind. Hotel very clean in all areas. Unfortunately, when we arrived we didn't realise there was no lift for the annex where we were staying. Informed reception that one of our party had mobility issues and not long since had surgery. Told no manager in until the next day and would get back to us but did not so we were unable to access our room as would have liked and once managed out for the day had to stay out, 5 flights of stairs too much. Food was really nice, fresh and lots of choice. Staff in restaurant very friendly, unlike staff at the reception and bar who were quite abrupt and never smiled. Pool gorgeous but only managed to get a brolly one day as people up at crack of dawn and had 2 or 3 brolly's for two beds. This needs to be managed and have a better system so everyone gets a chance to use the area, not have to sit under trees on chairs. Such a shame as the hotel had so much potential and in a great location but would not return.
