Stayed here just before Covid hit in 2020, It was excellent !
Myself and my wife went here for a break - the term is 'baby moon', i.e. our last holiday before she gave birth to our first child, (now a two year old!). We went to the Jardin Tropical in March 2020, it was just before the pandmic hit, and I havent had a chance to write a review until now. It was a magnicifent hotel, the architecture was interesting; white Gaudi-esque features, the pool was outstanding, with waterfalls. The room was clean and staff were always freindly and efficient, and the food always lovely, with great cooked breakfasts, plus bars dotted around the pool. I also remember working out in the open air gym while overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. It was a superb expereince, in fact the best hotel stay I have ever had. Unfortunately the end of the holiday didnt go so well, as we had to exit the island quickly as the airport was shutting and flights were being cancelled as the Pandemic took hold. The rest of the Adeje coast seems populated by endless baked beans on toast menus, so returning to the wonderful food at the hotel was always a treat. 5 out of 5.
Amazing!
Just got back from a week at this hotel. From the moment we arrived it was just incredible. We was welcomed with a lovely man who sat us down with complimentary drinks before checking in and taking our cases upstairs. The room we had was a half sea view which was stunning. After exploring the area we decided to eat in the Italian restaurant in the hotel and it exceeded our expectations, the food was so beautiful and we did not expect it to be so nice. We stayed bed and breakfast and breakfast had so many options from freshly made crepes, waffles omelettes, fruits, eggs, bacon, champagne, anything you could think of was offered at breakfast every morning. After breakfast we went out to book our excursions for the week we booked Loro Park, Siam park, catamaran boat trip and buggies up the volcano. We booked all of these through Tenerife first excursions with a lady called Lisa and she was so helpful and informative about all of the trips. All of the excursions we did were amazing, we had so much fun and We would recommend all of them. Loro park came with a free bus which was great as it was around 1.5 hours on the coach to it! The catamaran trip included a sandwich and all drinks were included on the trip. Siam park was around a 15 minute walk from the hotel which was so fun, we got fast passes which was 18 euros each and they was definitely worth it, we were on the rides within 10 minutes, whereas those without the fast pass was waiting over an hour per ride and finally the buggies up the volcano was our favourite trip which also included going to the highest village in Spain and stopping at a vineyard for tapas and wine tasting. The 2nd night we ate at amalfi as it gave really good reviews however we was not impressed with the food there. The 3rd night we ate at thirsty turtle which was a lovely little bar which sold burgers and they was really yummy! The 4th night we ate at Fiore, which had the most stunning decor, the whole room was filled with flowers but the food was just dissapointing and tasteless so it wasn’t worth going for the food. On the 5th night we decided to try the hotel again after How nice the first night was and so we decided to try Babbos grill in the hotel. My boyfriend had octopus and lobster and it was beautiful, however I had chicken and it was very dry. On the 6th and 7th night we decided to have nibbles along the front and popped into a couple of different places for food which was a lovely idea as there are lots of little bars on the front with nice cocktails to enjoy some tapas style food. On the days we wanted to spend time at the pool we never got around to the pool until around 2pm after finishing what we were doing that day and although it was the busiest time at the pool we always seemed to get a sunbed. We also tried the wrap cafe for lunch one day in the hotel and it was amazing! The chicken salad was the best I had ever had! The hotel had lots of bars within and I especially loved the passion fruit daiquiris from sugar reef. The sunset bar was also really good. There was lots of children also staying in the hotel but it was never loud and the pool was never hectic! As a couple we felt it was still really romantic. Tenerife itself is a lovely place to visit with so many things to do but this hotel definitely made our holiday, everything about it was just so beautiful and we can’t wait to go back in the future. Thankyou Jardin Tropical
Dream Holiday
Absolutely stunning hotel. Beautiful bars, restaurants & gardens. Very attentive staff. Nothing was too much trouble for them, especially the pool lads. Did a good job of stopping people putting towels on beds to reserve them. Very central to everything you need. Would re-book without a doubt if going to Tenerife again.
