Dreams Jardin Tropical is situated in Tenerife’s Costa Adeje, right on the oceanfront, making it the perfect spot for sunset views and much-needed relaxation. When you’re not soaking up the rays on Bali beds, kicking back in hammocks, or sipping cocktails under thatched pagodas, you’ve got the sandy shore and turquoise waters of Playa de la Pinta just 550m away.
For those who want to pick up the pace, there’s no shortage of things to do at the hotel. You’ve got two outdoor pools (plus one which is heated for kids), an open-air gym, aqua aerobics, yoga, Pilates, spinning, and Zumba. Fancy taking advantage of the island's amazing golf courses? You’ll have access to special offers at reception. And if you want to explore the island on two wheels, the Bike Centre will kit you out with everything you need to make the most out of Tenerife’s beautiful cycle routes.
There’s plenty for your little travellers too. When they’re not splashing around in the children’s pool, it's all fun and games at the kids club, with arts and crafts, team games, sports, story time, music and games consoles on offer. And when your little ones or teenagers are making friends at Explorer’s Club (ages 4 to 12) or Core Zone Club (13 to 17), you can book yourself into the wellness spa. Along with body wraps, scrubs, and deeply relaxing massages (with an ocean view), you can zen out in the sauna, or Turkish bath, or make your way through the invigorating water circuit.
As for wining and dining, there are seven eateries to choose from, all serving up delicious and varied gastronomy. Start your day at World Cafe, with made-to-order omelettes, crepes and smoothies, alongside a sprawling buffet of continental delights. Round-the-world flavours are also served here from 6:30pm to 10pm. When you want to sink your teeth into yummy steaks, grab a quick lunch by the pool at the Barefoot Grill, or dine in at the Babbo American Grill. For incredible homemade pasta, book yourself into the Italian, Trattoria. Prefer light salads and healthy snacks? Make a beeline for That’s a Wrap. Love tapas and Spanish specialties? Fill your boots at Pintxos.
The real star of the show, however, is Las Roca, where you can dine on Canarian dishes right on the over-water terrace. When it comes to bars, you’ve got four beautiful settings to unwind in. Enjoy live music and drinks at Lava, top up on fresh juices poolside at Sugar Reef, enjoy coffee and pastries at Coco Cafe, or bask in the vistas with a cocktail in hand at the Sunset Bar.
The 419 rooms and suites here are as well-appointed as the hotel’s exceptional architecture would suggest. With stone-walled balconies, Mediterranean decor, and natural materials throughout. All rooms are air-conditioned, with a satellite TV, hairdryer and bathrobes. With spaces to suit all needs, choose from doubles or junior suites, with ocean or pool views. For a little extra luxury, book into a Club room for perks, including a Nespresso® coffee machine, premium minibar, guaranteed ocean views and access to exclusive ‘chill’ areas.
The Jardin Tropical offers all the serenity, with the upmarket bars, restaurants and promenade of Costa Adeje on your doorstep (2 mins away). Enjoy a drink and live music in Calle Colon, and stop for the region’s best tapas at Restaurante Sebastian. A little further afield than your local beach, Pinta, you’ll want to visit Playa Fanabe (17 minute walk). It boasts soft fine sand and a Blue Flag status. Families will enjoy building sandcastles or splashing around in the calm, paddle-friendly waters. While thrill-seekers can ride across the Mediterranean by Banana boat or jet-ski.
You’re also only a stone’s throw away from the main bus routes. You could explore the old town, beautiful La Caleta, or the fishing village of Playa San Juan. Nature lovers should check out Barranco del Infierno, a fabulous hiking route with a ravine that leads to the tallest waterfall in Tenerife (15 minute drive away). Start in the town of Adeje, following the path up to Calle de Molinos and the old pastoral trail. Along the way you’ll be rewarded with exceptional viewpoints.
To see some of the region’s spectacular marine life, you could set off on a submarine safari from Puerto Deportivo (30 minute drive). Or go whale and dolphin watching, with a boat trip from Puerto Colón (7 minute walk from the hotel).
You’ll also be within easy reach of the biggest waterpark in Europe, Siam Park. Stroll just 15 minutes for a day of exceptional thrills and spills for the whole family.
If it’s nightlife you’re after, Playa de la America’s clubland offers plenty of moonlight action, and is just 20 minutes away on foot. The lively nightclubs along Veronicas Strip will keep you going till sunrise.
