Staff very helpful, Great location
We stayed at Chich Khan for 10nights starting the 8th July and just arrived home two days ago, it was our first time in Tunisia and we would recommend it after our experience. The location of the hotel was great, the beach only 5mins or less away, a couple of English bars/restaurants nearby also. There was also a lot of fixed price shops, great for people who aren't confident with bartering in the markets, however if you do like bartering, the Medina (the big market) is 5mins down the road from the hotel.
The hotel itself was impressive, the rooms were decent although they weren't always thoroughly cleaned, we requested a high room with a pool view which we were granted as soon as we checked in, and the view really was amazing!
The staff on reception, in the bars and restaurants were always cheerful and helpful.
The food was good at best, a lot of the food is made in front of you which is great but sometimes it could be quite repetitive, the breakfast was a big let down, no bacon or sausage which was a shame.
There was a few men selling excursions in the hotel, they could get quite pushy if you weren't too interested in doing the trips, but when you do say no they do leave you be.
Our rep, Alice, was great, her meeting on the morning of our second day was thorough and very helpful and if we ever needed more info she was always helpful with her answers. Near the end of our holiday my boyfriend had a problem with his ear and she was great chasing up the doctor and checking he was feeling better after he'd been which we were really happy with.
Overall we really enjoyed our time here and do hope to return sometime in the future, plus the weather was absolutely brilliant! Not a cloud in sight! :)

Great family holiday
I have just returned from a lovely holiday with my mum and two brothers 17 and 20 at the Chich Khan.
-The hotel staff are outstanding they will bend over backwards to make sure you are best taken care of whether its refilling your coffee cup or attending to maintenance. The manager is very hands on and attentive to the needs of his guests one of the best i've ever met.
-The hotel is a comfortable walk (about 10 mins) to the medina (shopping centre) be prepared to be hassled though they are not to aggressive and will usually be quite good with bartering. The beach is also not far.
-There are a few trips to do camel rides evenings out the zoo and cabaret so tae extra money.
The food in the hotel is amazing lots of new things to try and all fresh they are big on fish but you can also get pastas with your choice of filling pizzas chips meat was mainly beef / turkey with a different sauce each evening. in seven days did not have any trouble going for seconds because everything was so nice. there is a choice of a la carte once per week of Italian or Mexican we didn't get round to this with trips etc but other guests said it was nice.
The rooms are clean and tidy the housekeeping comes in every couple days the hotel in general is spotless you can see them working very hard to keep it that way.
- Free Wifi in the reception
Not so good points
-The rooms are very comfortable but for me personally the matress was a little firm causing a couple aches and pains but there is a spa downstairs if you want to treat yourself to a nice massage.
-We did have a little trouble with a balcony door that didnt lock but the manager was very good in dealing with this and checking himself that it had been done.
-The hotel carried out some pipe maintenance during our stay we did not have water for one day it was back on and nice and hot ready for getting showered for dinner again manager very apologetic for any inconvenience but it is winter and anyone to complain about this seriously is being unrealistic about travelling to winter destinations.
-Around the resort you will get hassled and people will stop you and say that they work in your hotel (they don't) they want to take you to their shop for commission say no thank you keep walking.
The entertainment team could do a little more for the evening maybe this was limited due to the time of year but the shows where sometimes a little slow however the cabaret night well worth a watch they all give 200% effort was a good night. during the day they got my brothers off playing football archery etc so no complaints there.
Overall despite the very rubbish weather that we had for the week we had a great time and are already looking at going back in the summer. This is as honest a review as i could right hope it helps happy holidays :D

This hotel is wonderful. It is clean and well maintained, and is situated very close to a lovely beach. The food was great, a wide variety, though be warned that if you are hoping for 'English' food you will be disappointed as what is offered is a more local cuisine.
The staff were also top notch. Very friendly and welcoming. In particular the Animation Team were great. They made the holiday as far as my children were concerned.
My only quibble was that the outside pool is unheated and was too cold to swim in, but this was minor as you could swim in the indoor pool.

Great family holiday at Chich Khan hotel - Tunisia
Had a fab holiday. The staff especially the waiters, they really looked after you. Animation team were great, put on a few good shows. They are really good with the children getting them involved in the activities. Hotel was spotless at all times. Food was great a good variety to choose from at all meal times. This is our second holiday there defiantly going back again. Can recommend this hotel to anyone. My son loved indoor pool as well as outdoor he was in them both all day everyday.

The staff at this hotel are brilliant, mainly the bar staff and waiters. Friendly kind and personal service. The facilities in the hotel are great, we didn't perticular lot like the food but there is a lot of choice. Great value for money. Be careful walking around a lot of people keep coming up to you trying to trick you, we got out the taxi at hammamet and within 2 minutes had 5 different people try and tell us they worked at our hotel. Also little tip for excursions the nebul market is a good one to see, but we didn't want to pay 60 Dinar to go there and the chateu, we got a taxi to the market for 17.5 Dinar one way, much cheaper. There's some great fixed price shops along the road where the hotel is

Not 4 star quality
This hotel would struggle to obtain a 3 star rating in the UK. Stained & worn carpets throughout the hotel, carrying a musky, stale smell. Hotel in need of a complete renovation including replastering, painting & rewiring.
The entertainment consisted of broken down equipment with missing pieces, that required payment.
Animation team were a set of serial predators; only ever talking to my wife in my absence or trying to chat up single women/ mothers and ignoring any effort to involve children in activities.
Food was average, but musky smell of restaurant and dirty tablecloths was enough to anyone off.
Being harassed to take part with excursions in the hotel lobby was the worst and most intrusive I've EVER experienced in all my holidays abroad. I've travelled to Egypt, Turkey, Cancun & Morocco.
On a positive, staff was friendly enough & room size was a plus. Although, with one maid to clean the whole hotel, don't expect a thorough clean room.
