Will Return in future
Great time here at Chich Khan all the staff friendly and welcoming and very good at their jobs. Rooms were a good size with air condition and a cool fridge. Shower was a bit fiddly to get the right temperature. No problems with sleeping so either the beds were comfy or drinks hit the spot. Cleaning was very efficient. Reception very quick to deal with any problems, tv was not working and we wanted extra pillows and this was sorted within 20 minutes. Manager was ace and helped me out with a situation, beautiful looking hotel. Breakfast wasn't for me as I like a fry up on holiday but plenty of other choice available, lunch was ok a bit repetitive but always well cooked. Evening meals were brilliant always hot and plenty of choice for even the fussiest of people, a very good selection of sweets every night, beautiful restaurant. Bar staff were fun and done their best to get the drinks out to everyone without you having to get to the bar. Nafaa Alexis (Captain# was superb. The swimming pool was clean but had a few of the small tiles missing off the bottom and a few sharp edges in places. They had a lot of shallow places to swim which was ideal for younger ones.
The Entertainment team were out of this world and I can not write the words to describe how good they all were to do them all justice and they made the holiday so much fun Jade Drexler was so good with the kids they were all running around her like bees around a honey pot, my Son thought she was amazing, time for mini disco. Mimi was good at her job, very friendly and had a beautiful smile which melted my heart, although it might have been sunburn. Mamao #darts man# was the nicest man ever, always happy. Little Mido and Lukey#sabotage) were the funniest double act on stage and had us laughing the whole time, Little Mido has too be seen to be believed the guy is amazing. DJ was a great allrounder aswell as odggy who was good at football.
The beach was no more than 10 minutes away at a slow stroll. No English newspapers on sale but internet access via your own laptop, phone etc. Steakhouse about 10 minutes walk away which showed the live tv football games , staff very friendly and welcoming and bottle of Heineken was about £2.00.
Overall I'd say the Chich Khan was tremendous value for money and would highly recommend it.

Worst ever holiday at Chich khan hotel Yasmin hammamet. 24th August 2014
Firstly on arrival 11 o'clock room not ready for 2 hours had to pay deposit for beach towels 20 denar each but wasn't able to collect till 3 o'clock. Woken early 4am by holiday makers moving sun beds to reserve them , by the time we had early breakfast all beds had been taken by 9 am with hardly any one on them even the hotel policy states no reserving beds.
Had hotel towels stolen off sun beds manager not really bothered said it was our responsibility for them insisted we wouldn't get our deposit back this had happened on several occasions according to other guests.
We also was woken to being covered in ANTS in the bed and crawling over us the ants was coming from the light fitting on the wall next to head board, called the reception they sent some one to spray room told we would get moved during the day but never did ants seemed to have gone, the following day they secured the light fitting but didn't have another room available the same as ours.
Hygiene in the restaurant was to be desired as the waiter was handing bread and food with no gloves on food was pretty basic seemed like what was left the night be fore was wormed up the next lunch time, we started eating out.
The beach was filthy 90% of sun beds was broken only half a dozen cushions available beach bar only had soft drinks if you wanted alcohol you had to buy it even though this is all inclusive food was available basic.
Cleanliness was to be desired as we'll every day kept finding broken glass in front of stage from the night before even after they supposed to have swept every where.
Pool area to small not enough sun beds for every one I know the hotel was full with about 850 guests with around 400 beds guest was getting rather heated over the lack of space, we could go on more.
Waiters are very friendly.

Where do I start? The first room that we were given was slightly small for the three of us so we paid about £85 for the week to upgrade to a fantastic room, Air con was fantastic and could be individually controlled in the room. The staff were the best part of this holiday, they really couldn't do enough, especially if you tipped well. By tipping well, I mean the odd 5 TND here and there (about £1.65). They got to know you, welcomed you into the bars, restaurants etc and brought you drinks before you even had chance to ask for them. Everybody, and I mean EVERYBODY on the hotel staff were polite and friendly, even the maintenance people and always said good morning, hello etc. The pool was excellent and clean, the only hardship was getting up early to secure a sunbed (thee best ones had gone by 6am). The animation team were friendly and enthusiastic and despite what others say, were not pushy in any way. Somebody else has put in their review that the beach was 30 mins away. It was, only if you were travelling by snail! It was literally a 5-10 mins walk away. We didn't spend much time at the beach at all though as we preferred the pool. Before going to Chich Khan I was slightly apprehensive about the food. As it turned out it was excellent. You have got to remember that you are eating at a buffet and not a la carte. There was so much food available throughout the day that you will come home a stone heavier, guaranteed! For us, the best meal of the day was the BBQ at lunch time.
I am sorry if I have gone on a bit in this review, believe me, I could rave about it more! Overall I would highly recommend the Chich Khan to anybody, we will definitely be returning!

The staff were great also drinks were brought to you at your disposal even by the pool they couldn't do enough for you the food was a very good selection even for me because I'm very fussy no complaints there . It is always being cleaned even the pool is cleaned daily we will definitely return

Relaxed, fun family holiday
Nice clean hotel, staff couldn't do enough to help all of us. Kids (8 &6) loved the entertainment. Pool was a bit cool but to be expected for the time of year (April). Good range of food, even for a 1 year old. Booked joining rooms and got a 2 bedroom suite, which was brilliant for family of 5.
Only negative point was the smoking area was the ground floor cafe area which is open to the rest of the hotel, sometimes when opening the bedroom door would get a waft of smoke in the room.
Not to do with the hotel, but our suitcases got ruined on both flights - irreparably damaged on return flight - currently in contact with Thomas Cook about this.

fantastic holiday at Chich Khan Tunisia
From the moment we walked into the hotel we felt relaxed and valued. Although maybe, not the most plush hotel we have stayed in it was clean and extremely friendly. The rooms were clean towels changed daily and a problem we had with the shower was sorted very quickly.
The dining room was lovely and the waiters were all extremely attentive .Food was excellent a good choice for everyone.
The animation team was superb nothing was too much trouble and they kept everyone entertained both during the day and in the evening.
Would return tomorrow if circumstances would allow!

Great family holiday
I have just returned from a lovely holiday with my mum and two brothers 17 and 20 at the Chich Khan.
-The hotel staff are outstanding they will bend over backwards to make sure you are best taken care of whether its refilling your coffee cup or attending to maintenance. The manager is very hands on and attentive to the needs of his guests one of the best i've ever met.
-The hotel is a comfortable walk (about 10 mins) to the medina (shopping centre) be prepared to be hassled though they are not to aggressive and will usually be quite good with bartering. The beach is also not far.
-There are a few trips to do camel rides evenings out the zoo and cabaret so tae extra money.
The food in the hotel is amazing lots of new things to try and all fresh they are big on fish but you can also get pastas with your choice of filling pizzas chips meat was mainly beef / turkey with a different sauce each evening. in seven days did not have any trouble going for seconds because everything was so nice. there is a choice of a la carte once per week of Italian or Mexican we didn't get round to this with trips etc but other guests said it was nice.
The rooms are clean and tidy the housekeeping comes in every couple days the hotel in general is spotless you can see them working very hard to keep it that way.
- Free Wifi in the reception
Not so good points
-The rooms are very comfortable but for me personally the matress was a little firm causing a couple aches and pains but there is a spa downstairs if you want to treat yourself to a nice massage.
-We did have a little trouble with a balcony door that didnt lock but the manager was very good in dealing with this and checking himself that it had been done.
-The hotel carried out some pipe maintenance during our stay we did not have water for one day it was back on and nice and hot ready for getting showered for dinner again manager very apologetic for any inconvenience but it is winter and anyone to complain about this seriously is being unrealistic about travelling to winter destinations.
-Around the resort you will get hassled and people will stop you and say that they work in your hotel (they don't) they want to take you to their shop for commission say no thank you keep walking.
The entertainment team could do a little more for the evening maybe this was limited due to the time of year but the shows where sometimes a little slow however the cabaret night well worth a watch they all give 200% effort was a good night. during the day they got my brothers off playing football archery etc so no complaints there.
Overall despite the very rubbish weather that we had for the week we had a great time and are already looking at going back in the summer. This is as honest a review as i could right hope it helps happy holidays :D
