holiday in Duva Suites
Stayed in quite a few all inclusive hotels, this was the worst. Food was luke warm, restaurant was more like a canteen. No side plates with meals. Tea/coffee was from a machine. No spoons or glasses on tables. Chairs in restaurant were stained. All inclusive it was not: if you wanted a snack from the pool bar you had to pay. If you wanted a cup of coffee from coffee beans you had to pay. The local vodka was terrible. You could buy 1litre of it in the town for 5 euros. All inclusive I felt were treated like second class citizens. The sun loungers were twisted. Pool area not exactly clean, where we sat first thing in the morning there were black hairs on tiles. This is definately not 4 star.

A Fab holiday
The brochures and pictures can't capture the atmosphere at the Duva. My husband and I took our 18 year old son (he has a good social life at home and we had to drag him away) The entertainment team were fabulous, we took part in some of the activities on offer, which included archery, rifle shooting, tennis tournament etc... they even organised a night out for the teenagers, who bonded really well. The food was varied and excellent, although a few odd local dishes, but youve got to try them! Restaurant and bar staff couldnt do enough for us, they were always smiling and remembered our drink preferences, even at different times of the day. The room was basic but clean, we only slept and showered there. We used the spa and gym which was good. The best trip was the half day catamaran trip which included 3 lovely snorkling spots and lunch. The Wednesday market is well worth a visit and barter. At the end of our holiday we didnt want to leave, including our son!

great holiday at the Duva suites and spa in puerto pollensa!!
We have just got back from a week in at the Duva hotel in puerto pollensa, we were a family of 4 2 adults and 2 children aged 9 and 14. We stayed all inclusive and we got our moneys worth. And the food was good and always hot and enough to go round. We never qued for dinner at night and lunch and breakfast were lovely too.
The staff were polite and friendly and always happy to talk to you and help if needed.
Apartments were spaciuos and cleaned every day apart from sundays but the cleaners did an excellent job.
Reception staff were helpful and on the day of check in it was done very quickly and we were guided to our block we stayed in.
The onsite facilities were good lots to do for the kids and the animation team were great they really made sure the kids were happy and had lots of activities to do too. the evening enterainment was good always starts off with kids disco, then bingo and then different shows which all finishes at 11pm.
The beach is a 15-20 min walk but theres a free bus that picks u you up from the duva and takes you to the beach and brings you back again.
Theres also a lovely beach in Alcudia which is about 6 miles out but we got a taxi and it only costs 14 euros but well worth it for a day out in Alcudia, you have alot more shops there too.
The whole holiday was fantastic and we will be returning next year, cant fault this Resort and recommed to all who are looking for a great family holiday or even for couples. You have to go there to see what i mean. The duva is a 4star and i highlyagree with this too.
i recommend going all inclusive as a round of drinks costs 12 euros a go so you do benefit from the all inclusive especially if you have kids.

Good but could have been fantastic
Duva suites is a bit out of town, but we had hired a car at the airport instead of the coach transfer so it wasn't a problem. We had a 17 year old son and need a bit of space so upgraded to a two bedroom apartment which was excellent. The wifi was good but cost 30 euros for the week. The staff were excellent even after such a long season. The house wine and beer were good (we were all inclusive), the cocktails and coffee were from machines so were not as good. The food was buffet style but of a very good standard, the chef produced at least four fish dishes very night. The entertainment was standard with a couple of acts. The gym was ok as was the spa area, the real disappointment was that the tennis and soft ball courts were not included( even though the Thomas cook brochure and the website said they were). It was 10 to 17 euros to play, not what I expected. We are an active family and this was a big disappointment. If they sort this out we would go back.

Late sun holiday
We picked Duva suites because we wanted a late break, all inclusive but with plenty of options for sports to do. We upgraded the room in resort because we wanted some more space, well worth it, the two bed apartments are excellent and very spacious. The food was buffet style but of good quality, at least four types of fish every night and excellent local beer, the house wine was drinkable as well. The staff were very friendly even after such a long season. The cocktails were from a machine (not best) as was the coffee as per previous reviewers. The only disappointment was the excellent tennis courts and soft ball courts were full most of the time and cost a significant amount to hire (the Thomas cook brochure and web site misled us on that one, as we had booked all inclusive for that reason and it wasn't included)

Great family holiday in Puerto Pollensa
Hotel was very clean and staff friendly and helpful. Location was further from the beach than thought but there was a hotel bus that took you there. We were all inclusive but the apartment was well equipped for self catering. The local taxi's are very good value, only a couple of Euros more than 4 adults taking the bus from hotel to the centre of the resort. The beach is excellent and the water very clean, would recommend to anyone.
