    Seychelles weather January

What's the weather like in the Seychelles in January?

Located close to the equator in the Indian Ocean, the Seychelles have a tropical climate bringing warm weather to the islands all year round. In January the region is beautifully warm without being overly hot, perfect for relaxing on the beach or exploring the local sights. Although this is one of the wettest months in the Seychelles, rain showers are typically short and sharp and won’t ruin your holiday in this tropical paradise.

In January, the average temperature in the Seychelles is a warm 27°C, with highs of 32°C in the peak of the day. After dark, temperatures drop only slightly to 24°C, so it will still be warm in the evenings when you visit the local restaurants and bars. With around 300mm of rain expected over the course of the month, heavy rain showers are common but the wet weather is usually short-lived. Sunrise is at 6.10am at the start of January, with sunset at 6.30pm.
