Great holiday at Eftalia Splash
Travelled as a group of 9 with 5 teenagers - lovely hotel! Rooms spacious and clean. Arrived just before midnight and the sofa bed for my daughter was not made, rang down to reception and 30mins later linen was bought to the room. Food was varied and even the fussiest eater will find something - fresh omelettes, eggs cooked to order - and if you can't live without bacon then go to Spain! Amazing how many people moan about it, come on think about their religion. We found if you were friendly and polite the staff could not be more helpful. Burgerland was great especially after a few cheeky drinks at night, burgers, pizza, soup, chicken nuggets, chips, salad yum yum. Water park was great for the kids, little people with plenty to do too. Main pool not crowded at all, usual games such as water polo, darts etc. Animation team were great, really friendly and work hard. Eftalia island is great, another watermark, bars, snack bars but a pebbly beach. We will definitely be returning.

Could be better, not 4*
Arriving at 2:40am at airport, everyone hot and tired, transfer bus stopped at some shopping complex after 40mins into transfer, allowing us to get followed and try to sell you anything, stopped for about half an hour- complete waste of time! Arrived eventually at 6am and we were 3rd stop of 6!
Room was on 5th floor where we had stated the middle! 3 lifts for 600 rooms, definitely not enough, trying to get up or down was painful!
Slides were good but fast green slide causing holes to develop in swimwear, 2 other slides dangerous, lots of kids/adults walking around with plasters on their heads/chins! Some slides you need the rubber rings but had to purchase our own as other nationalities weren't able to share, lifeguards talking to young teenage girls rather than doing their job up until last couple of days when they did seem to be 'working'!
Food in main buffet retaurant was not labelled as to what each dish was, Luke warm majority of the time and very repetitive! No staff to get you drinks during your meal. Plenty of fruit most of the time. Fresh orange was at an extra cost, no tea and just machine coffee!
Pool snack bar, very small, very hot and food awful!
Italian a la carte restaurant- have to choose beef or fish on booking, set menu, not able to choose, Luke warm and very rushed!
Pool and indoor drinks bars were ok, staff nice but drinks came in smaller cups each time. Cocktails were extra 3-12 euros each!
Patisserie, lady manning it on last day only!
Entertainment team, during the day around the pool was far too loud and I normally like music on, but too much, at night it was just rubbish entertainment!
Beach was further than 400m but a little shuttle to it, unfortunately quite scruffy and dirty!
Spa team hassle you round the pool daily trying to get you to purchase treatments, had to be firm wih them in the end and one male spa team member was extremely rude!
Shops in hotel are overpriced and stock what you can buy at market which is 5 min bus ride away. Market was good, able to barter and get great deals, Dolmus to get there for 4 of us was 12 lira.
Cleaning of room never happened, even found a small child's top behind the bed, hairs and dust behind the bed and under a table, mirrors, sink and toilet not cleaned in 7 days and only got fresh towels once when we left them in a pile on bathroom floor, room next door was cleaned daily!
Mini bar only had small cartons of water in! Room safe was at extra cost!
Evening time, after meal was really quite boring (restaurants all close at 9pm), not really anywhere to go other than a small group of shops 5 mins away on foot, they don't have prices on anything though so be careful and you can still barter with them! Late night snacks, we were told were available, actually never found them!
Weather was fantastic the whole time, air con took some working out! Glad we didn't stay longer than a week, 3* not 4*!
