Rated 5 out of 5 by PaddyBoy Fantastic family holiday
This hotel was by far the best hotel we have every stayed in. 5 star it definitely is and the all inclusive, all exclusive means just that. The buffet and al a carte restaurants are superb with plenty of choice. French Street has a superb cafe serving all types of coffees and wonderful cakes from 1pm-8pm. The lunchtime food court has an excellent selection of food you are spoilt for choice. The Mangal and Fishbone restaurants are open at lunchtimes and no booking is required, both are very good with an excellent choice of fish, steaks, burgers, pizzas, salads etc. The facilities in the spa include the usual steam room and sauna but also an ice cave, rain cave and plunge pool. The vitamin bar, near the well equipped gym, was also included with freshly squeezed orange, grapefruit, apple or carrot juices (or a mixture of all four). The hammam bath is just out of this world and somewhere worth going just to relax. Unfortunately Thomas Cook do not inform you that the water park is not open in April (opens May to September) which was very disappointing but the children enjoyed the indoor pool which has three slides. The family room we were given (1438) was magnificant an extra large king size double room and separate twin room with two queen size beds with a seaview overlooking the lake. The staff were very attentive and the bar staff were excellent constantly refreshing your drinks. There is a cinema with two films shown per day all in English with Turkish subtitles. Although we were disappointed with the closure of the waterpark and the lack of evening entertainment (again this all starts in May) we can't wait to go back to the Rixos Premium.

This holiday was fantastic. The hotel was brilliant and certainly on a par with the luxurious holidays we have had in Mexico. The flight and overal organisation of the holiday was also excellent. This was our first trip to Turkey and we thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely be returning.

2nd visit to the Rixos and it did not dissapoint again. Top quality food in the A La Carte restaurants. Rooms great big comfy and the beds are massive! Only downside was the weather which shut 2 of the places we were booked in to eat but apart from that it was superb again.

Fab hotel, however the booking of resturants let it down, you simply could not book the meal you wanted...not as good as the Rixos Bodrum.
although this may sound petty, it totally spoiled our holiday.

Our room was very shabby; curtains hanging off the rails, broken light fittings, leg fell off bedside table, remote for tv didn't work and stains on the wall and lampshades. The patio doors didn't shut properly and the air-conditioning was faulty. Service ranged between indifferent and ok, but one or two waiters were really unfriendly. The hot food was cold and the chilled food was warm, resulting in two days in bed with food poisoning. The a la carte restaurants were either always fully booked or closed, although you could see nothing but empty tables! The drinks were not well known brands, although this was an expensive 5 star hotel. One shot of a well-known brand brandy was 55 euros! Our flight had to be diverted due to bad weather (not anyones fault) we had nobody to meet us at the hotel and we never saw the Thomas Cook rep for the whole holiday. Although it is hard to please all the people all the time I have to say the music around the hotel was dire, old fashioned, dirge on continuous loop. It nearly drove us batty. The pier fell to pieces during a rain storm so I didn't get another opportunity to get splinters again. The hotel was full of delegates come to attend conferences which made finding a table to eat at very difficult at meal times. It was like Butlins in the 50s and for this we paid thousands. We will never never never go there again or recommend it to friends.
