Rated 3 out of 5 by scarlet29 Good value and fun for kids
This is a great place for a family holiday; there are activities for every age group, the location is good and accommodation and food good value. In this price range you could (and we have) done a lot worse. The apartments are a little dated but spacious and kept spotlessly clean. We got what we requested - a first floor apartment away from the entertainment area - although we did have to wait two hours for it. The reception staff were very helpful, the gardening staff and waiting staff efficient and tireless and Lorena's entertainment team were the friendliest, funniest and most professional we've ever come across (although we could have done without the relentless and tasteless poolside music). We did feel the hotel struggled a little in our second week as it reached capacity - the atmosphere soured as people began to fight over sunbeds (many of which were broken) and tables in the evening. Aquarock water park was fab and a good fall-back when the very nice hotel pool got crowded, and the Marina was beautiful day and night. Chaplins bar deserves a mention for the incredibly friendly service. The beach is lovely but we preferred the less crowded beaches we reached by hire car, especially the spectacular Cala Galdana, Mitjaneta and Cavalleria with its red sand. Worth avoiding - Amigos boat cruises (which should be renamed 'give us your money and we'll give you the experience of a hundred people vomiting in unison') and the Parrot man (Sunday night's entertainer)who shouted in my face when I politely declined to buy the photograph he'd taken of my children which I hadn't seen and for which he wanted more money than we paid for two children's meals at Chaplins or any activity on or off the hotel complex. On the whole however, this was a great experience and we would go to a Garden hotel again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by coxiloxi fantastic fantastic
i have worked in the travel industry for over 10 years so have been to many places 1* - 5* as a family with 2 small children under 7 we have been there twice and are going to book again its brilliant u get what u pay for its 3* its clean the apartments are basic but have everything u need the location is fantastic 5 min stroll to the marina which is a delight to sit that close to the water & boats and eat ur dinner in lovely restuarants that serve lovely food not the normal slop u get in bigger resorts.
we went self catering both times but upgraded to drinks package wristband when we arrived well worth the money u can drink whatever u want then and the kids can have as many slush puppies or juice as they like and u dont have to worry about the cost. the entertainment in the evening was great we never made it back from the marina for the kiddies disco but they loved the shows, kids club english run was fantastic for the kids as its right next to the pool, and we went to the waterpark every morning it was empty until around lunchtime so u had it to urselves great value for money
we decided to have a change last year and go to calan forcat DONT GO ull be disapointed were going back to marinda gardens and cant wait ;0)

Rated 3 out of 5 by Car13 Best holiday we've had.
We have travelled to a lot of different places but Menorca was by far the nicest. Very family orientated and the restaurant El Quijo (next to Chaplins) was fantastic-great service, delicious food, extremely reasonable and it had a fantastic childrens soft play area. The beaches are beautiful and everything close together. The hotel was really good, loads going on, fantastic kids club and getting free access to the waterpark was a massive plus. Only downside was we occassionally found ants in the room but cant fault anything else. We will definately be back!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by JellyK13 Great holiday for young & old! Menorca is a great family destination!
Marinda Gardens was great apartment complex. From the entertainment to the reception staff, everyone was happy and pleasent, the most approachable staff I've ever self with. Calan Bosch is a marvellous child friendly resort, definetly a place I'm excited to return to.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Bodger47 Safe and entertaining family holiday
Although a bit rough at the edges we are planning a 3rd return to the marinda garden. Read the reviews but everyone at the hotel really liked the place. It has all the ingredients for a relaxing or energetic holiday has no lager louts good food, great entertainment team and we met and made some good freinds who are also considering going back. All I can say is book early because Its still October and a big chunck of the school holidays from Newcastle has all gone. It must be doing something right for this to happen.

Rated 1 out of 5 by mickyb55 small grubby self catering apartments at marinda garden cala n bosch
Apartment was small, bedroom smelled of urine, broken glass left on floor from previous occupants, self catering consisted of two hotplate rings and a microwave oven, electric socket next to hotplates, so no where to boil a kettle or plug in toaster if hotplates were on. microwave to low down giving no room to prepare food. fridge not defrosted for weeks. fridge door would not shut. We had to defrost it our selves. drinks in hotel the most expensive we have ever come accross in spain. entertainment crew put on a couple of good shows at night "grease and the lion king" the rest of the entertainment was the usual game show type entertainment. pool area was quite nice, but music to loud and not to our taste. cala n bosch as a resort was lovely, but would not go back or recommend staying at Marinda gardens

Rated 1 out of 5 by Cleff0205 Was that bad I paid 350 euros to change hotel.
The whole place is shabby and run down. I chose this hotel as it was advertised as a Kids World Extra hotel so thought there would be plenty for my son to do....I was completely wrong the majority of advertised things eg X box gaming Zone and Craft zone didn't exist. Hated it that much we only stayed one night.

I can honestly say I have never stayed anywhere like this before. On the plus side the entertainment staff work extremely hard. Now for a few truths the rooms were disgusting with plaster falling off walls, mould on bathroom ceilings, lights that didn't work and broken furniture. The food was shocking of u didn't like garlic you couldn't eat anything when u got your meal you then had to re heat it in the microwave. So being all inclusive this tends to cause problems, but apart from that we loved it ( not )
