Why Go
When we Brits first fell in love with Turkey holidays, Bodrum was the place that opened our eyes to this wonderful, friendly, excellent value destination. The love affair lasted and today Bodrum is every bit as exciting and welcoming as it's always been. The only difference is that it's grown somewhat - and is now a lively, fully fledged city in its own right.
But peace isn't far away on the Bodrum peninsula - take a car and you can explore ancient fishing villages, emerald coves and historic sites such as Roman amphitheatres and Hellenistic temples.
Package holidays to the Bodrum area enjoy all manner of facilities, day and night. By day, the bazaars are a feast for the senses, with brass and copper ware, jewellery and carpets, spices and slippers jostling for your attention. Take time to explore the harbours abuzz with shops, cafes and bars (not to mention boats).
Surrounding the peninsula, a good selection of beaches offer watersports and relaxation in equal measure. So, whether you're after a last minute holiday or are booking your main summer family holiday, the Bodrum peninsula offers excellent value and a real true taste of the best of Turkey.
