Windmills might not be the first thing to spring to mind when you think of Turkey, but you'll find one here at the Sunrise Park - and the kids will love it! It comes complete with waterslides, and both the young and young at heart will have a great time splashing into the pool below. There's a real family focus at this hotel with large bungalow rooms dotted throughout the grounds, but with its relaxed gardens and swaying palms there's plenty of space for peaceful days of laid-back laziness too.

Great family holiday We went to Sunrise as a family of 4, children 9&7 years (with another family) in the middle/end August and stayed in an apartment. The hotel and grounds were lovely and clean as was Starlight its sister hotel which we could use all the facilities and eat there. We weren't aware of this when we booked. We shared a taxi transfer to the hotel with one other family and it took over an hour. We tended to use the "elephant" pool which was always quiet, could easily get a sun bed, suited our families needs & Ahmet on the pool bar was superb. The "relax" pool, I didn't find very relaxing as it was quite busy and could be rowdy and very slippery. There is a wide variety of food and no one ever went hungry. As there were 7 in our group we almost always managed to get a large table somewhere. Would recommend a visit to Aphrodite in Side town for a meal out which can be arranged through the rep. They will taxi you one way FOC as it's approx £50 return. The children used the water park and the kids club a few times and went to the evening sessions a couple of times which they enjoyed. Maids were fantastic & towels and room was always left clean. The air con was great, safe, hair dyer and shampoo etc were included. As were pool towels. In my opinion the only downsides were the majority of the hotel is catered for the Russians & a lot of the staff don't know basic English (I know we're in their country!) The language barriers between the Brits & Russians could be a problem as sometimes I did feel there was rudeness. Although I never saw any pushing in or back handers. The evening entertainment was ok, it was more acrobatics etc so there was no need for it to be in English. The kids disco is a bit something and nothing & run by the hotel rather than kids club. Be prepared that you are 15k from Side town. You are left to find out most things I.e where do you actually get the ice creams from especially where there wasn't many English guests to talk to. Overall we enjoyed our stay, but next year I think we'll go somewhere where the children can make friends . Although my 9yo would go back tomorrow!! September 16, 2014
Not 4 star Spent two weeks here with 3 kids and whilst the resort has some very good points, there is a lot that needs addressing. Room was a duplex bungalow room, very dated, lamp broken, bathroom needed a re-fit but was spacious. maid service was good first week, bad second week, we had to continuously ask for loo roll and towels. Mini bar service good. Quiet pool where english sat was good, great bar man there at swim up bar, apart from him, all other staff were rude and spoke little english. Main problem for me was mealtimes. Restaurant was hot, over crowded and if you din't time it right, you got very little choice. Not enough air con, it was too hot to eat outside on terrace and most of the tables were here. Food was boring and limited, especially breakfast. Was hard to get a drink. Staff only look after you if you tip them or buy their sun bed reserving services!! I saw a Turkish man had over a roll of notes to the pool attendant, who then reserved him 8 beds a day, whether the family turned up or not! Water-park was good, grounds were lovely. Not much in area and I personally didn't feel very comfortable leaving hotel with my daughter alone, we got some hassle at shops. Would not return and sadly hasn't given a very good impression of Turkey. August 28, 2014
Great family holiday :) Hi,a group of 15 of us are just back from the sunrise resort park! I must say myself we had a fab holiday :) lots of different food to choose from, the cleanliness is unbelievable! They were in our bungalows everyday with clean towels, clean bedding, stocking up our mini fridge :) our bungalow slept 5 but could easily sleep another 2. We had walk in showers upstairs and downstairs aswell as toilets and also a en suite jacuzzi upstairs! Lots of pools to choose from and good entertainment for younger and older kids. The aqua park was fab fun for all ages :) would def recommend sunrise. Would love to go back :) August 5, 2014
Good holiday Nothing for teenagers and cannot walk out of resort as not safe . Too far from airport, not enough air conditioning in rooms. Far too far from market but still god hotel and resort area August 25, 2013
Best Holiday ever in Turkey We had a great time from the minute we got there . Loads of things for the kids to do . We spent 3 days alone just at the water park. The place was immaculate and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The maid would do all kinds of funny things with towels and flowers every day. The food was great and the kids had plenty to chose from. The place was mainly Russian and some of them were rude and bad mannered but that happens anywhere. we loved the kids club and the staff, Ruth Jelly Gina, Nicola &Lucia were the best. They took such good care of your kids which ment we could go to the beach for 2 hours and have a break. I think the enetrtainment was good but the kids club mini disco was full of pushy mothers and badly behaved kids trying to get their faces painted which was a downer but all in all the place was great fantastic location but the beaces were very rocky so we spent our time on the sunloungers on the board wlak and it was fantastic . We went in may 2013 and woulg go back again June 12, 2013
At best average. Dont book after mid October. My 11 year old son and myself stayed here for one week starting 28th Oct. Whilst I appreciate this was the hotels last week of the season Thomas Cook did not inform us of this. Lots of things were closing or being cleared up around us. Food would have been nice had it been hot and the a-la-carte restaurants cost extra (something else we were not informed of.) The cleanliness of the resort was excellent. Entertainment was pretty rubbish and the entertainment crew were lazy and non creative. November 8, 2012
All in all a good time. My husband and I enjoyed our holiday, very relaxing, the resort is very beautiful, the view from our room was gorgeous, no complaints about the food, you could eat all day if you wanted too. The only complaint we have is that the location is too far out. The staff very helpful and friendly. October 11, 2012
Sunrise - it certainly did and was really hot! 2012 As we have not had a holiday for over 10 years - we were looking forward to this one! It was a nice place to stay - right near the beach, and great pools, especially the waterslides, as not too much but enough for both the children - and a hubbie!!!! We had read reviews about the food being repetitve and upon reflection - yes it was!!! especially one morning for breakfast my 5yr old came to the table with chips!!! One particular pool has a swim up bar - this was frequented by mostly british holidayers! which was fun and we had our daily entertainment from Mehmet, who by the end of our holiday had got himself 2 Liverpool tops and a Liverpool bandana, he was one of the really "nice" members of staff. However we did feel that the British were not the most favourite of the clientelle at times, as other nationalities barged past, pushed in and just didn't seem to notice we were there!!! Overall though, we did enjoy it and it was nice to be able to pick up your pool towels, choose a sunbed, go off for breakfast and come back to it and not feel bad, over there everyone does it....
