WASTE OF MONEY STAYING IN TEJ MARHABD
These pictures are about 20 years old. There is no maintance in the hotel. No WIFI in the rooms, only area for WIFI is the reception area but with very very poor signals. Very bad Air conditioning, dirty toilet, uncomfortable bed, old unmaintained furniture, tasteless food. Staff not very cooperative. Waste of money going in this hotel. I will not recommend any one to stay there.
I am giving it ONE STAR which it does not deserve becasue without any star you can't post your comments.

Hi, I have just come back from my holiday. I have stayed in this hotel for 1 week and I have them most wonderful holiday I ever had. Very nice hotel, lovely staff, nice food, room always clean. I'm already thinking when I can go back. I do really recommend this hotel to everyone is a very nice hotel and the sea is about 7-8 minutes away from the hotel. I did have a sea view room and it was so nice when i did wake up in the morning and i could see that wonderful sea. Thank you Thomas Cook and Tej Marhaba for letting me have the most wonderful holiday i ever had.

just back from this hotel , went for a week all inclusive from 04/09.13 till the 11th sept, and must say it was the worst hotel Ive ever stayed in , the staff were quite ignorant at times and very rude , everything seemed too much of an effort for them ,. The food each day was pretty miserable, not a lot of choice and , a lot of the time it wasnt even hot enough to eat , even the soft drinks at the bar were poor, none were chilled , they were all just poured from the bottle , they had sitting on the bar , all of which was just room temperature, so needless to say not that refreshing on a really hot day , as it was every day there .The only really nice part of the hotel was the entrance into reception ,which was really well layed out and decorated, but the landings on each floor level were really poor , carpets stained and filthy looking , the rooms were a little better ,, and they were attended to each morning by the maids , the air conditioning in our room didnt work properly it was blowing warm air instead of cool air , we reported it to reception and they sent someone up , but the guy they sent didnt look like he knew how to sort it , and in the end when he told us it was fixed , he went away , but it was still the same, our room was really uncomfortable to sleep in due to the heat , so we just had to leave it off. You may think reading this that I am being really negative about this place , but I can assure you , I read all the reviews before I came here , and yes there were a lot of negative reviews , but there were also a lot of positive ones too , so I decided to keep an open mind , and see for myself ,but now having spent a week here, Im afraid it was as bad as I read . In fact we heard on the day we were leaving the hotel was being downgraded to a 2 star hotel . It was meant to be a 4 star hotel , but it was no where near that standard, so there is no doubt in my mind I will be back here again , the only good thing I can say about it was the pool area was quite well layed out , so cant really complain there , but I would not recommend staying here if anyone is thinking of it , if you dont believe it see for yourself , for an all inclusive holiday it has been a real let down for us .

great fourth visit
This was our fourth visit to this hotel and we had a fabulous time. The weather was wonderful and we loved lying by the outdoor pool soaking up the sun .The food was great with a lot of choice and the staff were very welcomng particularly our waiter Kacem. The resort is not busy but we were not looking for discos or clubs but did enjoy trips to the Medina and the wonderful museum with the Roman mosiacs. The indoor pool is now open and is SO warm.I loved swimming there usually on my own at about five at night.Great holiday and we will be back

last minute holiday to the tej
stayed at the Tej from 18th November -25th November half board. The food wasnt bad not much choice to be fair but was edible and didnt make me ill i found the staff friendly and helpful - except the Thomas Cook rep who really didnt care that you were with Thomas cook and expecting information luckily i have lived in Tunisia and know my way around and didnt need him !! The indoor pools opened up whilst we were there - amazing one hot spa one warm pool and one cold pool really nice. The restaurant staff were lovely i only like scrambled eggs in the morning and they werent there after the 2nd day the chef noticed me looking and went off and personally done me some - no hovering for dinars - people have the wrong perspective in these hotels if you constantly tip because you want something of course they will keep coming back and hassling you if you feed a stray it will keep coming back wont it !! the best thing i have always advised is talk to them as you want to be spoken to expect them to do just their job no more - do you do more than expected of you at work??? and if you want to tip do it on your last day - guaranteed they will remember you when you go back and not because you gave them a dinar every day but because you took the time to talk to them try their language and treat them like people!! and yes i used to be a holiday rep in this resort and yes the hotel is tired and dated but they are making amazing progress on the hotel and like all countries recently ravaged by civil unrest it takes time and money you get what you pay for if you wanted more why did you book it ?? if you wnat english food why go abroad!!
