Ideal Location in Port El Kantoui
Ideally situated a short walk from the marina area in the resort, the hotel was probably better suited fo families and young couples rather older couples. Extensive pool area with plenty of activities going on and the hotel beach provided a quiet and pleasant alternative.
Easy and cheap access into the old medina in Sousse to wander around and try bartering for leather goods. If not too hot, a day trip to El Jem would be a must.

Excellent Family holiday, value for money .
Overall experience was very good , great family holiday , good location and weather was not too bad in December, it was about 20 degree . Very good choices of food, helpful and welcoming staff. We didn't have any problem during our stay, so there was no negative thing to shout about apart from well being and spa. There was a charge to use these facilities . We have celebrated our New Years Eve party there in the hotel , it was well organised, food was excellent, seven courses meal was appreciated and enjoyed. Must say all the staff worked very hard. Entertainment was good . For this we didn't have to pay extra. Very, very value for money. Trip to Sahara desert safari was quite thrilling.
We were worried about the noise from the new constructions but we didn't hear anything inside the hotel.
Thank you so much for organising very good holiday !

Brilliant holiday for the 4th year
Welcoming and superb staff. Rooms spacious and clean with sun until sunset on the balcony after it sinks behind the hotel.
Only problem was the moaning of some visitors about anything, just because we had 3 cloudy days out of 21, and they had'nt got the inteligence to find anything better to do.
Complaints about entertainment, but if they wanted more, they should have gone to Butlins.
Our 4th consecutive visit for Christmas and New Year, and we would thoroughly recomend it for a relaxing and well serviced friendly break.

We have recently return from the Marharba Palace, Tunisia. This hotel is large but the food is excellent, plenty to chose from. spotlessly clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
We were very apprehensive before going on holiday as Thomas Cook issued a warning about building work going on in the plot next to tne hotel, However we were upgraded on arrival, could not hear the building work and the whole two weeks were really good. The only drawback was in in house entertainment.
The Thomas Cook Rep was also very good and helpful at all times. Throughly recommend this hotel..

Relaxation after a hectic summer
We had no time for a holiday in the summer, my mum died in July , we had family with us for 3 months and had the sale of mums property and all her stuff to sort so by november we were well and truly ready for this holiday!
First time in Tunisia, but we have done Gambia, and Egypt in the past so expected similar. The hotel was in the most perfect of locations, 5 minutes along the beach or 10 mins walk into the marina... sort of Sharm El Sheikh meets Puerto Banus !!, loved it.HOWEVER beware the locals they would have the steam of your *****, dont be taken in and think they are being nice... theyre not !!, , theyre, freindly enough around the cafes in the marina, but still take offence if you walk past !. Now, Sousse, what a different story... never, ever again, we were hounded from steppining out of the taxi, to stepping back in (the Medina)
The hotel entertainment was something to be desired....!!!, most interesting being the guys and their bed of nails act... not forgetting the fully dressed belly dancers !!.
If you tip your waiter on the first night,. you will have briliant service, but beware on his day off, no one wants to know. At one point we had empty plates/cups piled on our table, all the others had been cleared, but not ours !!. I struggled finding hot water, coffee, cups etc, then 15 minutes later a waiter sidled up, slipped a saucer under my cup and hung around for a tip !!!!!.
Rooms, definately past their best, shower a sort of dribble. Towels the type you would save for dyeing your hair !!, however if nothing else the place was immacutaley clean, even the toilets by the beach (although again, the cleaning lady loitering with her hand out for a tip every time you went in !!)
Wasnt too impressed with the food , but for what we paid, i didnt expect too much !.
All in all the hotel was clean (except ocasional smell of cat wee in public areas.....), comfortable, pool was nice (if cold!) and at least the guys on the beach kpet the hawkers at bay!.
We were really lucky with the weather, and had a very relaxed time overall .We are 50/55 however, and felt like the rowdy youngsters !, everyone there seemed to be pensioners and on their hundredth stay !!, must stay something !
Our rep was lovely was really good re booking our Sahara Expereince trip. She went into great detail re what to expect and take which was more than useful (we have been sent on trips ill advised or "nil" advised before so this was great!). It was a long way, but we didnt seem to notice the travelling, the guides were great as were our hotel and meal stops along the way.
Our overall experience with Thoams Cooks was a good one, from checking in at Gatwick (helps when you stay over at the Gatwick Hilton !) to arriving home.
One thing however i think your reps might want to mention at the welcome meeting.... the cost of things in Tunisia airport... wow, wow, wow.. £2.50 for a tin of pop !! (and in pounds and euros only!)t
