Not recommended for anyone without children.
If you like children or have children then this place would be OK, as a couple it has nothing to recommend it. The site is quite large to be dragging suitcases about and the numbering is hard to follow at first. The hotel is situated as far from the beach as is possible within the over-crowded resort. The beach itself is poor and often has sand blowing over it from the nearby dunes.
The "bungalows" are adequate but you can hear other people's noise. The buffet food was just about OK apart from children touching things and coughing and sneezing over the dishes. There was very little choice for vegetarians and indeed very few vegetables: what there was were tinned.
The reception staff were helpful.
There are local buses but they only go along the coast, if you want to see the interior of the island you need to hire a car. There is a very good bicycle hire place in the resort but you need to bring your own shoes etc.

Very average resort
We stayed for 1 week in March 2013, a mid 30's couple & our 16 month daughter.
The bungalow was perfect for our needs and was clean.
They are advertised as having uk channels (which would have been ideal for passing a bit of time for our daughter!) but there wasn't a single uk channel available.
The food was really below average. Breakfast was well catered for & the continental options were really good, however lunch & evening meal choices were really
The pools are fantastic for children although absolutely freezing even though the weather was hot! I couldn't bare to go in but my little girl thought they were great.
The 'children's' evening entertainment bizarrely starts at 8pm,.one might lasting until 11pm, so unfortunately far too late for a 1 year old which was a shame. Our bungalow was close to the outdoor disco which was so loud that most of our evenings were ruined as we couldnt hear ourselves think. We really didn't expect this from a family oriented complex. We couldn't even read as the german music was so overpowering and we were refused a room transfer as the complex was full. The lady on reception said lots of people had been complaining about the noise.
All in all a very average hotel, luckily for us our daughter is too young tp care & loved her week in the splash pools & on the play equipment, but we wouldn't recommend to anyone

Stayed 5th to 12th December 2013 All inclusive.
Holdiay-makers are a good mix of nationalities which was lovely, lots of Swedish (who were really friendly).
Hubby is a very picky eater and he was delighted with the quality and variety of food on offer.
The location is excellent if you don't want the nightlife on your doorstep. Lovely and quiet in the evening but nightlife only a 15 min walk away if that's what you're looking for.
The bungalow was extremely well equiped and spotlessly clean with plenty of storage space, we had a decent sized flat screen TV and we were amazed to find that we had plenty of british TV channels to choose from (even some childrens channels in English).
The staff are simply brilliant, every one of them smiley, helpful and hard working. Beach and Sand Dunes are fantastic all with walking distance.

Well maintained bungalow accommodation
Resort of Playa del Ingles is awful but Parque Cristobal is situated within walking distance (or reasonably priced taxi) from Maspalomas which is nicer. The staff were efficient and helpful and the bungalow (although would benefit from some refurbishment) was spotlessly clean. The best bits however were the excellent
Island Tours (VIP tour and Island Tour booked through hotel reception) up into the hills with lovely lunches included, spectacular views and friendly locals - nice clean loos and fabulous home made refreshments at reasonable prices

Everything a family would want !!
Just back from a great 2 weeks, the staff were wonderful, apartment, spacious, if a little warm, but even while we were there they were upgrading apartments with air con. Food was out of this world, BBQ evenings to Asian nights, all tastes were catered for. The entertainment staff were exceptional, especially Freddie and Caty. The kids staff are a credit to Thomas Cook and really engaged with Mum's and Dad's as well as the children. 15 minutes walk to the beach, or a free shuttle bus is provided. You really could not want for more. Yes there was the usual fight for sunbed spaces, but with all of the changes going on, think this will be sorted out for next year......

Excellent family holiday
We have just got back from a 10day stay at the Parque Cristalbal. We have a 2.5yr old and a 4.5yr old. The bungalows were clean and big enough for us, apart from the bathroom which was a bit cramped. Could of done with a bath mat as the kids just kept slipping in it. There was a safe on the room and we didn't have to pay for it.
The entrainment team were fantastic always went that extra mile and remembered the kids names. Gemma was great and Charley in the kids club was excellent. The whole team were really good and made our holiday.
The kids loved the pool especially the slide and the splash park.
There is free bus to the beach aswell.
The hotel and gardens were spotless.
I would totally recommend this as a family holiday.

Fantastic family hotel with Thomas Cook making it even better!
Just returned from a great family holiday at the Parque Cristobal. The hotel is clean and very well maintained. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The facilities at the hotel are brilliant, with a large pool, splash pool and jacuzzi in the main area of the complex and then a smaller pool, a second splash pool as well as a hard floor water fountain area with jets and streams of water shooting from the ground. Both pool areas are served by poolside bars.
The rooms are brilliant. There is a TV, toaster, kettle, 2 ring hob, microwave as well as all the pots pans and crockery that are needed for a self catering stay. The beds are huge and the bathroom is well equipped too. There is plenty of storage space and the rooms are kept clean daily with towels changed 3 times a week.
We stayed All lnclusive and were very impressed by the food selection and quality. Breakfast consisted of hot items, such as sausages, eggs and bacon as well as cereals, cold meats, breaded items like croissants and other sweet pastry items. Lunch was varied again with a lot of hot and cold food options. Finally, dinner was themed each night. From Asian to Mexican to traditional Canarian meals it was absolutely delicious. Drinks included all the usual fizzy drinks as well as fruit juices. Alcohol wise there was lager, white, red and rosé wines and a multitude of spirits too.
The hotel is situated a short bus ride from the beach (which is free and laid on by the hotel!) There is a Spar shop about 5 minutes away which is good for basics as well as your spirits. We found a 1L bottle of Smirnoff for only 10€ which was the cheapest around! There are several shopping centres in the near vicinity which are idea for souvenirs etc.
But what really made the holiday for us was the Thomas Cook staff at the hotel. The entertainments team Will, Freddie, Katie and Gemma provided plenty of fun and games throughout the day both poolside and around the site and then gave a great evenings entertainment in the on-site downstairs theatre which included a kids mini disco and then a show for the older ones and adults. The Thomas Cook run kids club was fantastic as well. Tom, Calen, Charlie, Ashleigh and Keowen really know how to make the kids feel settled and our 6 year old didn't want to leave.
All in all the Paque Cristobal is a fantastic hotel with everything a family could ever need! The Thomas look staff make it even better and really help to mate your holiday a very memorable one! We wanted to go back immediately!
