Good family holiday in Fuerteventura
Stayed as self catering so never came across the food in the restaurant. Would recommend all inclusive as does work out cheaper in the long run, especially if you have a young family that constantly want feeding! The room was large, roomy and cleaned nearly every day. Balcony was large and catered for all our needs. The only critisim would be the equipment provided for self catering. They were not enough plates, cutlery or basics such as a can opener. When enquiring about these we were directed to the restaurant who were not understanding or able to supply us with a cork screw, bottle opener or can opener. The pool areas were lovely, very clean. Was pleased to see the no saving sun loungers rule in effect as towels were removed from sun loungers not occupied. The on site entertainment was ok if you like that sort of thing. Personal preference for our family is something more quieter but its all there is you want it. Proximity to beach etc were all ok, it was easy to get around. Trips were a little caotic when local providers were used, lots of peopl unsure about which coaches were going where type of thing. But otherewise a pleasant holiday.

We have just returned from a 2 week stay at the san jorge complex and it was the worst place we have stayed at.Very disappointed that Thomas cook rep recommended this apartment complex. The place was undergoing some building work close by but that did NOT bother us or have any effect on us.What did was the unclean room we was in. We did ask if we could be moved but was told there was no other rooms available for the next two weeks. The fridge was in a bad state with no freezer section and the door was covered in corroded parts. The toilet was not very good and when we mentioned the state of the room they sent a cleaner in who had joy in banging the doors on the cupboards. The bottom ot the toilet looked corroded inside and long hairs on the bathroom floor were there al week. Every Time someone walked along the corridor with a trolley or suitcase made it sound like a freight train was passing and this was all hours. The walls were so thing someone came and told us they can not sleep because our tv was loud. When i told him it was not loud and we could hardly hear it he was not happy but it is not our fault if the walls are thin and his bedroom was the room other side of where the tv was.The internet charge i think is a rip off as you pay for two weeks internet wifi and can only use one appliance/mobile at a time on it. Reading other reviews on other sites i get the impression those going all inclusive get looked after and those on self catering get the short straw. I would never stay at this complex again. The only good thing about it was the bar underneath called the dog and duck. This pub was very good and good beers at a great price. No rip off prices and the staff were very friendly. The area we stayed in was not too bad but plenty of complexes that were closed and looked like building sites. Not much in the way of entertainment for those wanting it. For thoses who want to explore the island hiring a car is a must.First time i have ever driven on holiday and i enjoyed it.Hired a car from cicar at a cost of just 20 euros a day for 7 days.
Very windy island as well unless your in a sheltered area. End of the day there was nothing we really liked about the san jorge or the area and will not be returning and wished we had gone to Tenerife instead.

Lovely break in Fuerteventura!
I had a very enjoyable stay in these apartments and am just back. I was self catering but did go down for breakfast most mornings which was very good. There were a few places around the area to eat also. Was a bit worried about the building work going on but needn't have worried as I didn't feel it was a problem at all. Apartments by the rocky seafront with a ten minute walk to the beach which was lovely and a further beach by the Atlantico Shopping Centre which took half an hour to walk. I would recommend these apartments but perhaps not in high season as there is no aircon. I was impressed by it being the only place I have ever been to which strickly enforces no reserving of chairs. I would visit again but like to go to different places.

Not at all as described in the brochure, renovation work going on and no cleaning of outside areas.
The room was large but poorly equiped for self cattering the decor was dated. the balcony areas had not been cleaned and was not cleaned while we were there, as it was in constant shade we never used it.
The large communial areas in both the San Jorge and Antigua were closed for renovation throughout our stay therefore only one small caffeteria was open for drinks/snacks day and night with no comfortable seating, the evening entertainment was hear and ajacent area outside and it was to cold in the evenings to be sat outside.
On the first day both swimming pools were closed and the surrounding areas were not cleaned throughout our stay, leaving cigarette ends, buildersdirt, bits of glass and plastic blowing about.
All in all I am glad we were not staying ALL IN as it was not a conducive atmosphere to lounge about the place for evening drinks, thank goodness for the Dog n Duck !

Until works services are complete this part of the Elbe hotel (San Jorge) should not be on travel agents' books
T Cook warned us by letter shortly before our departure for Fuertaventura that upgrading work was in progress throughout the hotel complex but that efforts would be made to distance our accommodation from actually where current work was ongoing. However, our experience of the intermittent, unpredictable, ongoing, pervasive and general everywhere work, including immediately all around our apartment and throughout the public areas around the pool, entertainment and sunbed area, with the constant presence of builders' dust blowing around and settling everywhere apart from actually inside our apartment, all lead us to recommend that T Cook representatives advise holidaymakers to avoid the San Jorge hotel and facilities until the upgrading works services are declared complete - and €7 daily rate demanded for internet access????

Great family holiday
We had a really enjoyable holiday, 27/7 - 10/8.
Room was very spacious, sea view even though we didn't book, in the San Jorge block. Clean towels nearly everyday and maid service even on the days we were told we wouldn't.
Food really good variety, always something different, never went hungry. Bit repetitive after 2 weeks but not enough to complain about. Restaurant and bar staff fantastic.
Used both pools, preferred the San Jorge as less busy and felt more spacious. Both equally clean and tidy.
Loved the location on the seafront and great to walk 15/20 mins along the sea to the marina and on to beach. Chipmunks come out on the rocks mid afternoon.
Beach clean and really shallow water. Fish come in really shallow and swim round your legs. Kids loved that!
Entertainment team are good, stuff going on during the day but not pushed in your face. Frank is AMAZING!!! Mini disco is excellent when Frank is on. He works so hard and knows every child's name whether they join in or not. Our daughter is really shy and he tried to include her as much as he could without pushing. He continues after the "show" and wont stop until the guests have had enough. Usually on his own, rest of team go as soon as can.
We didn't do any of the reps tours etc as went away to relax and switch off.
Would recommend and return to the resort in a few years, but try a different hotel as we like variety.
