Good relaxing holiday I was aprehensive at going on holiday as some of the reviews were quite scarey. I went to the Bristol Playa and was very suprized and wondered what people had to complain about. We had room 206 sea view sun all afternoon. okay the walk into the main strip was about 15 mins if you walked the sea promanade 10 mins walking through the side streets.taxi was only 3.00 ueros the weather was good June 13, 2013
great place to stay for a peaceful holiday we went to fuerteventura for the second time this year on the 08-12-12 for a week to get some winter sun,the weather was great, some mornings it was a little over cast but by mid morning the sun was shining.we really had a good time of it,we tried for the first time an indian meal,it was first class,it is right at the harbour front, nice family run place and not dear,we did not find it on the two week holiday in february as we were at the other side of town staying at playa-park.this also was a nice hotel.there are many good places to eat out, they do tend to try and drag you in,its some thing they seem to do,for december the weather was as good as early summer really was.we spent a few hours a day on the beach to get the tan,and we did.the hotel was excellent well run although we ate out plenty of people said the food and service was excellent.all in all a great place easy walking ,nice and flat with sea views all the way to the main beach and harbour.the rep was first class with any help you might need. 5th visit to fuerteventura in 2012 After the 1st 2 nights of no sleep, because of some noisy french women who wanted to talk at 150 decibels until 3a.m. we were moved to a 2 bed apartment which was just the opposite, so quiet spacious and clean, wonderful. Transfer times to the accomodation were very slow as usual but going home very fast, just the opposite of what you want. It still bewilders me how others can get you to your accomodation in Resort in half the time, and despite complaining many times to Thomas Cook nothing changes. This was ok this time however as we were staying for 2 weeks but on 1 week trips is not good, and puts you on a real downer to start your holidays. To cap it all off the hand luggage was weighed going home(no warning from Thomas Cooks at all) and despite being 1 kg over we were charged 17euros. The hand luggage was not weighed going out, so how does this work?? October 18, 2012
Fuerteventura - lovely island My husband and I travelled with our two kids aged 13 and 9, after arriving at 10.30pm we were shown to our room, only to discover that it was only set up for three people, after a bit of an agrument with the receptionist they made up a forth bed. The only problem we had, that in most one bedroom accommdation you have two single beds in the bedroom and in the living area you have a pull out sofa bed, not here. In the living room you have a very small campbed and the sofa is the second bed, it doesn't even turn into a bed. The location was perfect for us, about a 10 min walk to the town, which had loads of spanish resturants and shops and a couple of small beaches. We stayed round the pool area most days, two large pools and a baby pool, only problem is that the water is salt water. Entertainment around the pool was good but only lasted till 2pm and the bar pool only opened till about 4.30pm, cheaper to go to the local shop to get drinks, and you are allowed to bring them around the pool, the shop is very reasonable priced. We went to the main beach with the sand dunes which was lovely. You have to catch the local bus, but it only takes about 10mins. The beach has two cafe's and fairly cheap. The island of Fuerteventura is lovely and I would deffo come back to this island, not too sure about the Hotel. October 11, 2012
Warm Weather Winter Training Went out for a cheap week of warm weather, winter, cycling. We got what we wanted, hotel ideal. Clean, quiet, great location, extremely helpful staff, excellent all you can eat breakfast buffet to set you up for day in the saddle. Nice being away from all the holiday style bars, but just a couple minutes walk from harbour & some great resturants. December 20, 2011
