Overview

The road to Arillas meanders through peaceful hillside villages, before decending through pines and olive groves to the sea.

Improve your tan on Arillas' own beautiful curve of beach or take a scenic walk through the countryside to another secluded cove. When it gets too hot, make for the 2 roads retreating up into the hills, to the new bars and tavernas which keep popping up every season.

The Greeks' entrepreneurial spirit has awakened and the bars that appear are sophisticated, catering for the ever-increasing number of holidaymakers who have discovered Arillas and return every year.

Walking along cliff top paths and forests, you soon leave Arillas and civilisation behind you. If you're patient, you might see wild tortoises going about their business and many varieties of birds and wild flowers.

A disco/bar has opened in the last few years; it won't change the quiet escapist atmosphere we love, but it just shows a resort waiting to happen.
