Dit hotel ligt centraal, dichtbij de haven (circa 250 meter) in een zijstraat van Ibiza-stad. Naar de beroemde binnenstad van Ibiza met zijn vele mogelijkheden om te winkelen en amusement is het slechts 300 meter. Met een veer komt u gemakkelijk bij het strand (afstand ongeveer 2,5 kilometer). Ongeveer 400 meter van het hotel stopt het openbaar vervoer.Het hotelcomplex bestaat uit 110 hotelkamers en 70 appartementen, verdeeld over 6 etages. Het stadshotel werd in het jaar 1983 gebouwd en in 2003 volledig gerenoveerd. De ontvangsthal heeft een receptie (24 uur geopend), 3 liften, een hotelkluis, een geldwisselmogelijkheid en een openbare internettoegang met WLAN access point. In het hotel bevinden zich ook een cafétaria/bar, een grote televisie- en woonkamer en een van airconditioning voorzien à la carte restaurant met kinderstoelen en niet-rokergedeelte. Als extra biedt het hotel een medische dienst.De doelmatig ingerichte hotelkamers beschikken over een badkamer met wc en een balkon of terras. Verder horen bij de inrichting van de kamers een telefoon, plafondventilator, kluis en een satelliet/kabeltelevisie. De appartementen beschikken verder over een woongedeelte en een kitchenette.Op de tweede etage van dit hotelcomplex bevindt zich een zwembad met zonneterras, ligstoelen en zonneschermen. Het hotel biedt verder een eigen fitnessruimte, een sauna en een zonnestudio. Op ongeveer 10 kilometer afstand zijn meerdere golfbanen.De gasten kunnen hun ontbijt zelf aan een buffet samenstellen.

Terrific hotel. Everything was seamless. Lovely room. Helpful reception team. Rooftop pool, chilly but nice. I'd be surprised if there was better value in this location. Central to everything, 5 mins to the old town, port and shopping areas. Plentiful included breakfast each day. Rooms are spacious and clean, with rainfall showers and AC.

Great location and nice rooms. A decent breakfast and nice roof top with pool. We didn’t use the spa so not able to comment. A good cleaning service. I would have liked to have hair conditioner and moisturiser in the room - toiletries very basic. Our check-in was very unfriendly and felt like we were an inconvenience but think we were just unlucky there. It could be quite noisy at night as there’s a club next door but it didn’t bother us too much. We’d probably stay again.

My first time to Ibiza, and apart from primarily wanting to visit Formentera, I thought a couple of days in Ibiza Old Town would be good. Location is as always key for me, as well as not wishing to break any banks on this trip as I was off to SE Asia in late November for three weeks, all of which eventually brought me to El Puerto Ibiza Hotel Spa. Overall, it was good, if hardly outstanding. But then, practical compromises have to made when staying so centrally and not at the Ritz. Let's start with the price paid - 302.77 Euros for three nights, including taxes and charges. Difficult to argue with such numbers for a very central city stay. Room 3201 was business-like and adequate. No one books such a hotel to spend their time looking at the view from their window, and good job in this case - see pics attached. Nevertheless, the room was clean, tidy and even had a small fridge, it also resembled a well known brand I've often frequented in the UK. The bathroom/toilet were spotless and everything worked as it should. This is hugely important to me regardless of price paid, and I know for many of my fellow travellers too! On the roof, you have Bona Vista, a large decked area containing both bar and swimming pool. There has been much said about the size of the pool but really dear reader, it's a cooling pool on top of a hotel roof in the heart of a bustling and very busy city...What's not to like? I did ask a few brave souls I saw swimming how warm it was and the general consensus was; it wasn't! But again, you're in Ibiza Old Town and not Clacton on Sea so, it is what it is... Breakkie was one of the few issues I had. Given the size of the hotel and number of tables available in the restaurant to accommodate diners, there was always going to be the potential for guests having to wait for a free table. And so it proved to be. Whilst staff worked hard to clear tables once diners had departed, there were inevitable queues, and quite long ones at that. I ended up waiting 15 minutes for a clean table, but in truth, rather I hadn't waited at all to be honest as no one would ever describe me as a morning person! The brekkie itself for me at least was fine, as I'm a fan of 'builders brekkie's', but as you can readily see from the pics; the plates were small/fried eggs hard and bacon greasy. It was all a bit old 'buffet', and that say's everything really... Overall, I didn't like Ibiza Old Town, although historical in parts, way too many cruise ship tourists and far too much plastic, and I'm not referring to what was often seen washed up on the shore either! However, Given the price, location and excellent general standard of cleanliness, I can only but recommend it. As always, happy and safe travelling. Phil
