This means there’s a very high chance you’ll see nothing but clear blue skies and sunny weather no matter when you travel. The best time to go to Carvoeiro is in the spring. Temperatures have warmed up since winter and there are more hours of sunshine per day. With an average temperature of 19°C and highs of 21°C in May, you can enjoy lazy days relaxing on the beach and swimming in the sea, The water is mild for most of the year, but if you really love swimming and want to try some water sports on holiday, the best time to visit Carvoeiro is August. The average sea temperature is around 23°C at this time with just 4mm of rainfall. You’ll get the most sunshine in the summer when there are at least 14 hours of sunlight per day. Cooling coastal winds bring temperatures down to more bearable levels in the summer while winter weather tends to be slightly colder and wetter.
