The room was simply furnished with a balcony that overlooked the hotel gardens. The bathroom had a very powerful shower over a regular size bath and both the bedroom
and bathroom were cleaned thoroughly on a daily basis. The air conditioning was controlled iin the bedroom and was effective operating 24 hours a day. On the first day I reported that the mini bar/fridge did not work and it was fixed the same day, with the maintenance people coming back to check again in the evening,
There were two pools - a childrens pool that we didn't visit and a large main pool surrounded by an ample number of sunloungers. Unfortunately the two slides in the main pool did not operate all day, and were shut off for large periods of time. Clearly the animation team were running a number of activities during the day and the pool games were popular. Other reviews speak of the animation as being very 'Hi De Hi' and the first time you here the cockrel and the shout of "Get up, wake up" coming over the speaker it is a bit of a shock to the system! However, this doesn't go on all the time.
The evening entertainment was of varying quality and I didn't feel we missed anything when we didn't attend.
There was a constant supply of food with drinks available 14 hours a day. There were always loads of fresh salads, cheeses, breads and desserts . The cooked food menu at lunchtime was repetitive. The main cooked meals in the evenings were varied and I think they were a matter of taste. Although I can't be sure, I would suspect that pasta and rice that was without meat was still cooked in meat stock. The waiters were over zealous and constantly cleared away plates, this meant that at times plates were whisked away from in front of you whilst the fork was still in your mouth. As the meals were buffet style this also meant that, unless you left someone at the table to guard the food/drink whilst you went to get something, that you would come back to find plates of untouched food already cleared away. The weekly visit to the al a carte restaurant was worth it as it iwas the only place to get a cold glass of wine. The daily queue for fresh doughnuts cooked poolside was worth joining as they great, as were the flatbreads cooked freshly at every meal.
The beach was a few minutes walk across the road and was exactly as described prior to booking This holiday was certainly value for money. The all inclusive helped us to feel very lazy and it would have been easy not to have left the hotel. However it's worth making an effort and getting out - other towns are only a bus ride away.

we travelled in july 2011. the weather was nice and hot, the transfer is only about an hour so its not too bad. The rooms are clean and bedding and towels are change
d every day. The food is nice although by the time i got home after a 14 night holiday i was a little sick of chicken and fish. If you cant find something to eat in the huge choice then its your own fault or youre just too fussy. Yes there are lots of russians and Germans but we all mingled fine. The towels on the sunbeds was an issue until the second week when the management put a stop to it and we finally got one. The entertainment was good, my daughter loved it and we had to go every night else i would have been in trouble. All the staff are helpful and friendly.A must is the al a carte, well worth the 10 lira. The only little moan is the air con it was switched off at 2am so we got a little hot, but the cure is cold shower and sleep in your damp towel. Overall it was a great holiday and will be going back next year. Dont be conned by the men with the camels they will trick you into sitting on one then take you for a walk and will charge you from 40 lira to 60 lira. But these are only there on the Turkish night (monday).

I was very impressed by our hotel . The rooms were great and kept immaculate for the week we were there. The food was good but a little bit samey. The a la carte res
tuarant the food was dull but the service superb.
It was the pool area that impressed me most .There was a very shallow covered pool for very young kids , a a kids pool with slides , an adult pool and a quiet pool. Even though we had no kids with us we sat round the immaculate adult pool. Games were played, music too but it was never too noisy.
Most of the people on holiday at the hotel were Russian. I did see the odd person jumping the queue but really they were no different from any other nationality.
I would happily return both to this hotel and this part of Turkey

Our holiday at the Greenwood Hotel was superb. The hotel was very nice and very clean, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool was also good and clean. Th
e food was excellent, a lovely choice in fact something for every one. Just go for dinner about 45 minutes after restaurant opens to avoid the crush and the search for a table. We would definitley recommend it as a good value for money holiday.

For a last min break this was a great hol. After reading some of the previous reviews I was a bit worried about going but once we were there all was fine. Our room w
as cleaned and towels changed daily. Lots of different food on offer all day long, could have been slightly hotter is my only negative re food. Lots of Russian & German guests, not many other Brits. Not a problem for us. The staff only speak a little bit of English but we got by. The beach is close to the hotel - the hotel has its own desiganted section with beach bar and food on offer. The hotel is actually in Goynuck which is about a 15 min bus journey from Kemer - just flag a bis down and get off at the clocktower in Kemer and you can wander around there - all for 3 lira for one way. goynuck itself doesnt have much in the way of bars etc so this resort is prob not for you if you want an alternative to the hotel for drinks and entertainment. Its fine for a week but dont think I would;'ve liked to be there for 2 weeks! About an hours transfer from Antalya.

Nice clean, tidy resort. Food good if you arrive early, but plenty of it throughout the day. Nice big (freshwater) pool with two fun slides. Entertainment, hit and m

Not normally doing total relax holidays, this was not as boring as I'd expected. The Room was comfortable but by no means luxury, the food and drink were excellent b
ut sometimes on the strange side. Some of the evening entertainment was, others not so. But there was no stress or pressure to do anything. You didn't have to be early for any of the meals as the standard of the food was the same at the beginning of the sitting as at the end. It was impossible to go hungry as there was only about an hour between 7 pm and midnight when there was no food on.
The pool was always clean and not that chilly. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The Greenwood Hotel is set in a good location for shopping and watersports and there were plenty of things to do from speed boat trips to camel rides. The Hotel pool
was nice and our 2 year old really enjoyed it. The complex as a whole was really clean and well looked after and the staff were very helpful, espically when we needed milk for our little one at bedtime. Also every evening they had bbq along with dinner in the main resturant with something different every night which was lovely.
The only thing that was a little dissapointing was the rooms. On arival we were put in a room in the main Hotel building but the realised it only has two single beds and nowhere for our 2 year old to sleep, and this room was not like the ones on their website. It was really small and looked a bit grubby, espically the carpet. After talking to reception they moved us straight away to a two story apartment which was much more sutiable. It was still not what I had been hoping for but was much better. Though while we were there they were improving the other apartments and other guest which we had spoken to said they were really nice with flat screen tv so im sure in the future the rooms would be more sutiable.
Apart from that we had a really enjoyable holiday and will be returning back to Turkey in the future.

Hotel location only 10mins bus trip to Kemer. Would only rate this hotel as a 3* not 4*. Hotel clean but very slippery on all the floors when wet. Staff friendly.
B
ungalows - Basic, air conditioning not very cold. I mentioned air conditioning to hotel customer
services and was told that it was at the recommended temperature which was 24 degrees (not cold).
Spoke to many British travellers who were given the wrong room size or 1 room instead of 2 (which
they had booked and paid extra money for).
Food - Good variety of salads.
Breakfasts - continental cuisine (bread, jam, buns etc), boiled eggs, omelettes, pancakes, turkish sausage - EVERYDAY
Lunch - Turkish sausage, grilled chicken, chips, burger strips, salad, flatbread - EVERYDAY
Tea - Turkish cuisine, soup, salad - NOT MUCH VARIETY (REPETATIVE).
Hotel caters more for Russians and Germans. Not many English Travellers in the hotel.
Pool area - Many sunbeds, it is the first time in August I have managed to get a sunbed after 10am. All provided with cushions. 2 waterslides in main pool, 2 smaller slides in children's pool.
Entertainment - Daytime - alot of variety (waterpolo, pool games, step aerobics, football, yoga, etc)
Nightime - VERY POOR, mini disco for children (SAME CD EVERYNIGHT), hotel dancers every other night (SAME ROUTINES).
Bars - 1 in restaurant (open when food available only), 1 in reception area (hardly ever open), 1 in pool snack area (always open but small). NOT limited to 2 drinks only.
Beach facilities - Basic (one snack and drinks bar). Good watersports run by other hotels, we went
jetskiing, banana boating, parasailing (VERY SAFE).

Had not been on a package for a number of years so was quite apprehensive, especially as it was an on-line late booking. However, we were all really pleasantly surpr
ised. The kids thoroughly enjoyed everything. Not completely over run with kids and activities, but there was plenty to keep them occupied and adults too. The entertainment staff were great, very friendly and provided many varied games at certain times of the day. No fighting for sunbeds either! Food could have been a little more varied but you certainly wouldn't go hungry. The staff worked extremely hard and were very efficient. I would definetly recommend this hotel. Great value for money and superb weather.

Only checked the reviews of this hotel after we had booked so were very worried about the negative reports. However, they couldn't have been further from what we fou
nd. Sure if you're expecting a Benidorm fish and chip holiday this is unlikely to be the place for you. We found the food to be excellent and, even if you didn't like some of the hot dishes on offer, there were plenty of cold meats and salads plus about ten different types of cheese. Every night there was at least one meat cooked barbecue style outside of the main dining room and, of course, there was always the bread. Turkish bread is arguably some of the best in the world and there was always plenty of fresh bread available for every meal.
The accommodation could be classed as dated but who spends much time in their room on holiday? It was, however, comfortable, clean and quite spacious for two. It would be quite cramped if four were sharing. There was nothing that we would complain about the accommodation.
The evening entertainment wasn't the best we have experienced so we did exercise the ultimate veto and didn't stay for it.
We didn't go on outings arranged by the rep but bought two, white water rafting and yachting, from a local tour operator. They were about half the cost! True we weren't on an all British trip, in fact we were the only Brits but that didn't cause any problem at all.
Like one earlier reviewer said, the main nationality in the hotel was Russian but I suggest that if you don't like mixing with foreigners whilst on holiday, stay in England.
Only had one unpleasant experience, which occurred on the first day. Whilst talking to a Receptionist we were interupted by a very unpleasant English 'lady' who proceeded to slag-off the person we were talking to.
All in all this was a good hotel and we would certainly recommend it to others.

PLEASE do not go to Goynuk, Kemer unless you just want to go for the sun and to relax!
Greenwood Hotel offered a great selection of food for breakfast, lunch and din
ner as well as snacks and the pool was great. The rooms where basic but clean and presentable.
The LOCATION was awful - there where NO local bars, restuarants within walking distance and even when we got the bus to Kemer the main town there was really very little apart from a few big night clubs! If you want a bit of entertainment ie kareoke, live music etc Goynuk is not the place for you.
The entertainment team at the hotel did their best to entertain with little success! The turkish night would be the only night I would recommend watching! 90% of the holidayers in the hotel where either German/Russian so impossible to meet people!!
I was very bored and disappointed with the holiday as a whole, far too quiet!

We stayed at Greenwood. The hotel was rated 4*star but Its more a 3 star. It is family freindly. Lots of people frm other natiionalties which wasnt a prob. The pools
were nice, good slides. Restaurant food was eatable, repeated evry day. similiar sort of food cooked. Lots of variety but nearly the same. Unfurtunately no one can speak english. apart frm 2 people in reception. Waiters are so busy ot to even smile. We stayed at the new part 4th floor. 2 days lift stopd workin. we struggled with 2 very small children a and a double buggy gettin ton 4th floor. Rooms were cleaned but no clean towels. We had a good deal other wise I would not book this resort. Its better to pay a liitle extra to stay somewhere else. Shops are waliking distance. Turkey is lovely place. lots of culture and history but i wont b goin bak 2 this resort. A lot of antalya flight back are late night. You have to check out room b y 12pm. U have to pay for the safe in room 2 euros a day. Thomas c recomded last day cruise. Its nice, bit expensive. U can keep a room if its available

we spent 2wks at greenwood, and the only thing that spoilt our holiday were other guests at the resort, the staff were fantastic. Housekeeping staff worked tirelessl
y around the clock keeping the hotel spotless, but other guests with their filthy ways, made their job even harder than it needed to be.
Manners towards the waiting and bar staff were appalling, hardly a thankyou or please when being served, We found all staff to be friendly and polite to us throughout our stay, and were lovely people.
Turkey is a lovely country to visit, and have visited different regions, and always the same polite and friendly people.
Just a shame they have to put up with tourists that show little or no respect to them.
THANKYOU TO THE ENTIRE GREENWOOD HOTEL FOR SUCH A FANTASTIC HOLIDAY.

The variety of food was excellent and the all inclusive deal was the best we have come across in Turkey.

It was the first time we have been all-inclusive and didn't really know what to expect. We arrived at 3a.m. and from that moment on the staff could not have been mor
e helpfull. The choice of fresh food was unbelievable and the hotel was superbly maintained. The gardens around the complex were beautiful with very unusual planting, a far cry from the usual odd palm trees and grasses. You felt that they had gone out of their way to make the complex a real inviting place. The amenities for kids were wonderful and would highly recommend this destination for any family with young children.

The resort was brilliant, choice of food was excellent as the selection was very varied, if you could not find something you liked you have got to be extremely fussy
, and also theme nights were brilliant. My brother inlaw had a birthday out there and they dressed the table with petals and we had the most beautiful chocolate birthday cake (yum yum) I can still taste it. The location was beautiful with montains as a backdrop. The rep Stephanie was very helpful and gave very helpful advise and information regarding the resort. We would definately go back with Thomas Cook as it left all four of us with lovely memories

WARNING!!!!!!!! if you want a nice relaxing holiday do not go here, the only cater for the Turks ,Russians and Germans no British food what so ever. there air condit
ion is the poorest i have ever came across virtually non existent .The 2 weeks we were there we only came across half a dozen British families and the all said the same they don't make you feel welcome there they class this hotel as a 4star it doesn't deserve a 3 star as it still has carpets in the rooms that looks like they have been there for ten years.the travel agents will tell you that there are lots of British at this hotel "THEY LIE" so be warned ,as for the entertainment that's a joke i wouldn't bore you with the ins and outs .the hotel shuts the entertainment at 10.45 pm after that you can drink till 12.00pm but no music , the have a disco you can go to but they will charge 10 Lira a drink. as for the beach forget it its all stones no sand zoe from glasgow.
