Rated 5 out of 5 by Mark1972 Great Hotel
We have just returned from a two week holiday at Royal Palace Hotel and had a fantastic time, we would highly recommend the hotel to anyone.
HOTEL
The hotel is modern, clean and maintained to a very high standard.
ROOMS
Rooms are excellent, generously proportioned with all the facilities and comforts you would expect of a good hotel including daily maid service and mini bar service (free) stocked every day.
POOL / TOWELS / SUNBEDS
The Hotel provides pool towels which can be changed daily.
The pool area is pleasant with plenty of sunbeds which means there is no problem with people reserving beds etc.
During the day there are waterslides, I didn't get around to trying them but they looked great fun.
BEACH
The area maintained by the hotel is fine (as are the areas maintained by other hotels). However, if you walk along the beach it is quickly apparent that there are areas between hotels that are not maintained by the hotels which are very dirty with rubbish (and worse) .... again ... this is clearly not the fault of the hotels but surely the hotels can collectively do something for the environment on the beach around the hotels!
RESTAURANTS
The main restaurant (for breakfast, lunch and dinner) had a great selection available and the food and service are excellent. However, we did find the main restaurant busy, noisy and chaotic at dinner time, (I hasten to add that this is not a criticism of the hotel, it's just a busy and noisy because there are so many people getting up, collecting food and returning to their tables), but there are ways to avoid this, (see below).
The a la carte restaurants are superb. We tried the Italian, Asian, Turkish and (my favourite) Mexican, (we didn't go to the Fish restaurant). The service in these restaurants was superb and the food was amazing.
Other food was available during the day around the Ampitheatre area, (there are snack bars for kebabs, toasted sandwiches, rolls, fruit, ice cream, pancakes etc.) all are very good.
There is a Turkish tent where traditional Turkish food is prepared, you must try it.
The beach restaurant is great too.
If I could make suggestions it would be to ask that young children be accompanied by a parent when getting their food (young children need assistance dishing up their dinner and responsible parents should appreciate this and accompany them). It would also be nice if children could be finished in the a la carte restaurant by 8.30 pm so that couples / adults can enjoy a quiet meal without them.
BARS
Service in all of the bars is excellent and unlike other all inclusive hotels I have been to there is plenty of space and tables and chairs available in the bars.
ENTERTAINMENT
I am sorry to say that I agree with others who have commented that the evening entertainment in the Ampitheatre is poor and needs urgent review.
WIFI
This was the only big problem ... the wifi is terrible!
SUMMARY
An excellent hotel and we really liked it a great deal, especially the a la carte restaurants.
Any adverse comments are intended as constructive, we loved the hotel overall.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Sherin Great holiday, value for money, great hotel.
We had a five nights holiday at Royal Holiday Palace at Lara beach. The hotel is absolutely stunning. The lobby area is huge. The food choice was great but we found it a bit too salty and oily. Wegot an upgrade to a beautiful seaview room , hence the experience was all the more delightful.houseekeeping was excellent. Kids enjoyed the programs at Amphitheatre everyevening. However one night they had an adult theme for a comic play and most of us thought it was inappropriate for a kids audience.they didnt give any notice as to what it was going to be.eventually we had to just walk out. The ambience in the hotel and outside the pool area and the beach in the evening is superb, breathtaking! The downside would be the reception staff were not very helpful except for one person.the pool water was freezing as the heating was off. Though the temperatures outside was 30 degrees, the water was freezing and my daughter was shivering after taking a dip.wish they could bring it to atleast room temp. But altogether we thought it was value for money and the stay was enjoyable. We enjoyed the hospitality in Thomas Cook flights too.

Wonderful hotel, wonderful service and food. It was spotless, and all the staff were friendly and couldn't do enough for us.
The A la carte meals were fab, 7 courses, all freshly cooked.
It is worth tipping the staff, as their wages are low.
Only negative, we were on the Melas side of the hotel, it was very noisy as their air conditioning unit was outside. Also rooms not sound proofed, so we heard screaming children for 2 weeks.
March isn't the best time to go as the hotel is full of Iranians, they are very rude, and both the men and women spend all day drinking !!!
We have already booked again for November. This time however have upgraded to a sea view room.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Bobandco Great all round holiday
If your a fan of All Inclusive then you won't be disappointed with the The Royal Holiday Palace. The food and service were exellent in fact we could not fault the hotel in any way and for February the weather wasn't bad either with just one rainy day, the sun did run out of steam about 3 o'clock as the clocks havn't gone forward yet so if your an avid sun worshipper you need to make an early start at this time of year. Would thoroughly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mollie1 An amazing holiday we lived in a beautiful palace
We had a fantastic holiday in the Royal Holiday Palace the staff are amazing, friendly and professional. The cleanliness is outstanding and we where very lucky to be up graded to a deluxe suite which was huge with everything we could of ever asked for.
We travelled with another family who also had a seventeen year old daughter and both girls loved all the entertainment especially the pier party and night club. Also we felt very safe allowing the girls to just enjoy their time at the royal holiday palace.
The food in all restaurants was outstanding albeit a little hectic in the main buffet restaurant at times but that never spoiled it.
After two weeks we didn't want to go home a pure sign of a fabulous holiday and we would to return.

Rated 4 out of 5 by MandyLB Pretty good flop and drop
Large, modern hotel with 2500+ guest during peak season. Rooms well equipped and of a good size, staff polite and efficient. Food was well presented and of a good quality, however queues do build up in the buffet restaurant - which is only open 7 till 9 in the evenings (which doesn't give much of a relaxed atmosphere for an evening supper) the pool is huge with more then enough us loungers available, a pier is also available for drinks on their private beach. All in all a good holiday in a cosmopolitan hotel with guests from numerous countries. Just wish the restaurant was better organised!
