We have been here before so knew what to expect from resort. Facilities are of good standard although the pool area could be doing with more anti-slip material for w
alking between areas. We were staying self catering so is a good 20-30 mins walk into beach areas of LC and LA.They do provide a limited free bus service to LA which is handy if needed. Taxis are quite reasonable also 5 to 6 euro to main resorts. supermarket on site which is reasonably priced for the location.Only small issue is that most of resort is mostly All-inclusive and trying to get a sun bed can be hard as they seem to fill up with towels but have no people siting at them. No not Germans -Brits as British complex. The location is on a hill , so if you have difficulty walking or disabled this may not be for you. Resort nice but could be done with access ramp for pool levels as only stairs available. Not handy for the kids in there strollers. Hope this helps you decide to go as overall this is very nice place if bit away from main drag.

The Gran Oasis is very nice, it looks exactly like the brochure. The staff were very polite and helpful. The accomadation was a little dated but very clean and domes
tic staff were excellent. The pool areas were lovely but overcrowded, very difficult to get a sunbed near the pool, which was essential as we have a six year old and wanted to be able to keep an eye on him. The food was ok but repetitive. I did object to the plastic glasses that drinks were served in on an evening as I am not a small child and I felt that the all inclusive package was not great. Please be warned that on your last day, they take your band from you after lunch and we had several hours to wait for our flight and were not able to get a drink without paying, which i thought was unfair as I had paid for 14 days of all inclusive and didn't arrive at the resort until after 7pm on our first day. I did complain but they stated it was a Thomas Cook issue and actually the lunch had been given as a complimentary from the hotel, and we were actually only entitled to breakfast. Unfortunately the Rep wasn't available before we flew to complain. Thomas Cook Kids clubs were ok but did feel the staff were a little disinterested and they had several sessions that we had to pay extra for, which wasn't too bad when you have one child but if you have a few children it could be very costly and we were led to believe it was all part of out package. The entertainment was typical for a holiday hotel but was very loud and went on until Midnight, which was fine but our apartment was too close to the entertainment area and it was difficult for our Son to get to sleep at night. Overall, it was a pleasant holiday but I wouldn't rush to go back.

Lovrly accommodation with outstanding views. Only place I have ever been all inclusive where you are allocated meal times. Dinning faclilities way too small for the
amount of accommodation. Arrived Friday 8th october, very busy over the weekend and after 6 at night there was only 1 bar open They had a beautifull lobby with a bar that was closed most of the time so you had to walk to the opposite end of the facility to get a drink and the queue were lengthy. Staff very pleasant.

This was our first holiday abroad with the kids or rather teenagers! They absolutely loved it. The Gran Oasis Resort was fantastic. Only downside was loads of stairs,
which I counted one night being a little bit worse the wear and they totalled 84 seeing as our apartment was right at the top and at the back.Would recommend to ask for a view of the pool as we only saw rooftops but could see the sea in the distance! We went self-catering with Thomas Cook which suited us but you could go all inclusive if you wanted. We could buy meals at the bar between 1 and 4pm which we did most days. Other times we walked into town where there are loads of places to eat, catering all tastes. You are pretty central here and can walk to Playa del las Americas or Los Christianos in about 20 minutes. We usually did this early evening as too hot during the day. Evening entertainment at Gran Oasis was usually kiddy disco, entertainer and bingo by the bar.

We all had an excellent time at the Gran Oasis Resort. Its a bit far from the towns of Playa del Americas and Los Christianos but only if you don't like walking! We
walked it quite a bit but only during the evenings as it was very hot during the day (usually a 20 min walk each way - if you walk down and get a taxi back it avoids the one way system and is cheaper to come back by taxi than to go down). My kids are 13 and 16 and enjoyed the swimming pools the most. There was internet access in the games room area which kept them in contact with their mates but at 1 euro for 15 minutes we kept this to a minimum. My son was happy to find that there was free wi -fi so he could use his ipod touch in the evenings while we watched the evening entertainment. This was a variety of acts, kiddy disco and bingo. A bit of something for everyone. We found mixing a few evenings on site with evenings in the town a good idea to keep our teenagers amused.

We stayed at the Gran Oasis resort for a week at the begining of June flying from Cardiff. The hotel truly is superb, yes there are a couple of steps up to the top r
ooms but it really is no problem.
The hotel is kept in immaculate condition and all of the staff work very hard and are very polite.
The food is superb and is different every night, I highly recommend the mexican evening. The entertainment in the hotel seemed to be enjoyed by most but wasn't my sort of thing as i am not particularly impressed by a dancing dog.
The hotel is about a 5 minute bus journey from the centre of Playa (Which i thought was a bit rough) and there is a free bus service from outside the hotel but it only runs 3 times a day. A taxi from Playa back to the hotel is only 5 Euro so it is well worth going there for a walk around.
I would like to say a personal thank you to all of the staff at the hotel as they made the holiday excellent with how nice they were.
As we are british i had better find one fault and the only thing that would be is on the flight out from Cardiff the male steward on the plane was without a doubt one of the most miserable and rude people I have ever met, so we just ignored him and dealt with the lovely lady instead!
Would recommend this resort and we are thinking of going back again in November as it was that good!

My children have both grown up and have children of their own so I decided to take them away this year and chose Thomas Cook. The resort was only rated 3 star but wa
s as good if not better than most of the 5 star resorts I have stayed in and I go away 2-3 times a year. The food, cleanliness and friendliness of the staff was excellent. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend anyone with children or otherwise to go.

Although the Gran Oasis Resort is not in the centre of Las Americas it more than makes up for it with the reception you receive and the high standard of accomodation
. I travelled with seven freinds to tenerife on my second visit to this hotel for a golfing holiday after visiting the same hotel six months earlier with my wife and son. I must say this is the first occasion i have been to any resort where i could honestly say it was suitable for all age groups. The staff there speak perfect english and are extremely freindly and helpful. The appartments are on two levels and are very clean and spacious. There are two large pools and a kids pool and also an extensive games room. Although the hotel is not central it is only a four euro taxi ride to either Los Cristianos or Las Americas. The hotel is also nicely situated on the boundry of Las americas golf course and is also close to four other outstanding courses. If you stay all inclusive the food available is of a high standard and the service you recieve is outstanding. I have and will continue to reccomend this hotel to freinds and family.
