good holiday as long as the sun shone
The hotel is situated very close to amenities on a busy road.
The swimming pool area was well looked after and it was good that all sunbeds were locked until 9am so that everyone had a fair chance of sunbeds and mattresses.
However I was disappointed that we had no icebox in our fridge. The receptionist told me to get icecubes from the restaurant..I felt as if I was a nuisance to the staff and was embarrassed to keep going to the staff for a refill in my plastic beaker.
My daughter lost her brand new jumper in the apt. It was on the bed in the morning. We had our room cleaned and it had gone. We complained to the receptionist who told us that it had probably got mixed up with the sheets and would be returned .. It didn't and again we felt that not enough was done to find it...we were upset as it was an expensive jumper.
A good holiday but a little disappointed with where we stayed

Friendly staff, good rooms and location
We have stayed at both Tenerife & Cristian Sur hotels and prefer the former, we paid the extra for a 1 bed pool facing aptmnt, and were very pleasantly surprised when we arrived to be offered a 2 bed pool facing aptmnt, which was fanastic. The staff were friendly and always helpful when required, the hotel location is about 5-10 walk into the main resort. cleaner came 5 days a week, although bins emptied daily. Would happily stay here again. we only ate at the hotel once, food was ok, but nothing special. You have to pay extra for internet access.

Get what you pay for
Booked Christian Sur / Tenerife Sur 1st week in Feb 2014 and was allocated Tenerife sur on arrival pity Thomas cook didn't specify which apartments we were allocated before we traveled. Apartments were clean and bathroom had a window (good point) room noisey as we were next to main bus route road, (bad point) Pool area very good and ate in the restaurant a few times nice area for a cool pint and to people watch, close to bars and restaurants.
enjoyed holiday weather excellent would return, but don't expect 5 star accommodation, you get wot you pay for.

Great resort average accomodation
Tenerife Sur, like many other apartments & hotels in these recessionary times is in need of redecoration & the room was a bit "tired". We used the apartment as a base for walking & bus days out & did not use the pool & other facilities. We ate out for all meals rather than use the kitchen facilities in the Apartment. That said the people we dealt with at reception were friendly & helpful.
Given the price we paid, after internet discount, we were not unhappy as the apartment had all the basics we needed plus plenty of hot water & a comfortable bed. Also it was not noisy: unlike The Aguamar where we stayed last year.
Los Cristianos is an attractive resort with many nice restaurants & bars to suit most tastes & pockets. The seafront promenade which links with Las Americas & beyond is great for leisurely strolls with plenty of places to stop off for refreshment. The bus service is also good for visiting other parts of the island.
Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

fantastic family holiday, lovely hotel and pool area was great, especially the baby pool
We had a lovely family holiday at the Tenerife Sur, it was totally superb, the location was great and the kids loved the pool. We can't wait to go back again, food in the restaurant is great value for money - especially the Buffett breakfasts!

These apartments are slightly dated now but good clean linen, towels etc. Now have to pay for safe which used to be free. Also have to pay for TV which is a tiny well-dated ugly thing and when it rains the stations go off.
Nice pool and lots of sunbeds with a good restaurant attached.
Plenty of bars and shops nearby and beach within 10 minute walk.
Internet access expensive but local bars are free,

break in tenerife
Apartments ok, staff were friendly. close to bars and restaurants. sunbeds locked up until 9am so you are not woken by people dragging them about, there were also matresses available for sunbeds.
The only thing that spoiled the apartments were the burglaries. Talked to a woman who was woken up by 2 foeign youths in her apartment. they had gotton in through bathroom/kitchen window which had louvered glass panels which had been removed. she called recption but they did not even call the police. the apartments did put a security guard on to patrol but all he did was talk to the recptionist instead. found our bedromm window and patio door unlocked after cleaners had been in. TIP FOR YOU IF YOU STAY HERE THE IS A HOLE IN THE WINDOW AND PATIO DOOR RUNNERS I USED OUR SUITCASE LOCK ON THEM SO THAT THE WINDOW/PATIO DOOR COULD NOT BE OPENED FROM THE OUTSIDE.
