Juls Fantastic! Didnt want to come home
Family of 5 - with 2 teenagers and mother in 60's. All had a fantastic time. We all made lots of friends. The children all got on really well, when someone had to go home the others would hug, cry and wave them off. Staff all work hard and very pleasant. The hotel animation team were fantastic, especially Charlie and George who never stop. Beware - Charlie likes to throw people in the pool :) our motto all holiday was 'in the pool' in his accent though. There is loads of food choice, it does change nightly, some things are repeated (mainly chips) so there is always something for everyone. My kids and I are abit 'finnicky' with food but we always found something. The gataeu was to die for. Salads were lovely and refreshing. Morning - croissants, cake, cereals, freshly ordered omeletes, scrambled eggs, too much to list! Tea, coffee machine. Orange juice, apple juice and pineapple juice. Plus the fizzy drinks. Afew of the families were abit worried about what would happen when we checked out at 12.00 regarding the bands. However, they didnt mention it and we were still able to get food and drink so that kept us happy. We all had a fantastic time and would definately go again. Rooms are clean, beds are roomy, mine was more comfortable after I removed the plasticy bed protector. Air conditioning worked which was my big worry before going. One reason for booking this hotel was the waterpark. However, we were so happy at the hotel we never got to go to the waterpark! I took a photo from a distance and it looked bigger than I thought it would be. My daughters friend went and was told (at 5") she was too tall for the lazy river?? which is abit strange. Thats the bit I would have wanted to use so wouldnt have been happy with that. Flight back was delayed 1hr and rerouted to a different airport so was a very long day and night but other than that couldnt fault it. Jacuzzi worked. Not as many cockroaches as you think but quite funny when you see one and scream. One did fall out the flower tree on our balcony onto my husbands neck late one night which was hysterical. He was sat there with one of the cats on his lap and almost shot out the chair! Talking of cats, we had a lovely affectionate black and white one with an injured nose come to visit us quiet often. Also a few kittens around the pool area. Some are friendly others arnt. You can take or leave them. They dont bother you unless you call them so couldnt understand why some people were banging chairs at them when they werent even bothering them! All in all, brilliant holiday, great place to stay. Oh and its not really a hilly location. There is a gently incline which takes about 15 minutes. What makes it hard is the wind (it does get very windy). We took a taxi back once which only cost about 3 euro and to the market about 4 or 5 euro. really cheap. Please go and make up your own mind. This rates as one of our top holidays and we go at least once every year to different places so have alot to compare it to. Go and enjoy :) oh and make sure you do the Timenfayo Volcano trip and have the camel ride. Fantastic and very interesting.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Nibs29 Good winter break in Playa Blanca, Lanzarote
Great location for a winter break with children in a quiet resort which is suitable for families with young children. Make sure you get away from the resorts as the opportunities away from them are greater and gives you more freedom and at a cheaper cost. The town was only 10 mins walk away (with a 5 and 3 year old) and the main precint quiet and not full of bars and associated clientele.
Staff in the hotel complex were always smart and very friendly but it was three star so food and facilities were not that great, but considering the age of our children this worked to our advantage. Pools were very cold is my only gripe and that the advertised massages in the brochure were not apparent.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Ian1962 Ok holiday at club playa blanca
Have not long come back from a week away at the club playa blanca staying as all inclusive, there were 4 of us, myself my partner and my 19 and 13 year old son and daughter , we thought the place was clean and tidy and are villa was good all tho very sparce , oh and what a shameabout the evening entertainment !! ok i know most of it was geared up for young one's but i have to say we were not impressed at all, The food was nice but the same choice's most days so got a little boring, on the drinks side we were very disappointed that good old cheep bottled water was not included in the all inclusive price !! ,and the price on site to buy water was twice the price of water in the town five minutes walk away. At the bar you were not able to order more than 3 drinks at a time and every night the bar was crowded but only one bar staff working ! so long waits ever time to get served, altho we did have a nice holiday here we would not stay there again .

Rated 4 out of 5 by PlayaBlancaFan64 Great place for all the family
3rd time to Playa Blanca, 2nd visit to Hotel Club.
This really is a very good budget compex, it's location is excellent.
There is no need to be put off by any negative reviews you may see, it is a most enjoyable place to stay.
Apartments clean, tidy and vast with great patios.
Food is more than adaquate with good choice.
Drinks are self service during the day, or use the excellent Pool Bar.
Daytime entertainment good, evening entertainment not so good.
Evening bars, as usual on AI, could be a little crowded, have some patience, you are on holiday after all!
Playa Blanca and Rubicon Marina have had a lot of investment and the main beach is safe and clean. Market Wednesday and Saturday is a must around the Harbour.
We will be back, vey soon!

Rated 5 out of 5 by PlayaBlanc5 Wonderful family holiday can't wait to go back next year :)
Bungalow very spacious and clean. Gardens are lovely and well maintained saw banans and lemons growing on trees in the complex. Hotel staff excellent and work hard to keep everyone entertained, nothing is too much trouble for them. They organize trips and have a vast knowledge of the island.

Rated 3 out of 5 by sharon67 Great family holiday with small children
Had a great week at this Hotel, the food was spot on! there was a great choice for all the family. The pool area was great for the whole family, NO deep pools, so you can rest and be at peace while the kids play! The Apartments are clean, and child friendly , My only down fall was the night entertainment, it seemed a liitle dull, nothing for the older kids to do in the evening... 10 min walk to the beach or free bus , 3 euro's by cab.. Fun pack day and night for the family at the beach..

Rated 5 out of 5 by jojo24 excellent holiday
we stayed as a family, comprising as two adults with 3 children aged 10, 14, 15, what a great time had by all !!! The animation team, Charlie, George, Joanna etc worked their socks off, they got all nationalities to play sports, waterpolo, shooting, darts, together so they was no dived, so many friends were made this way, english, dutch, german and french all enjoyed each others company, The best animation team by far.
The food was pretty much repetative but enjoyable nether-the-less, so much food to choose from, also the reastaurants were so clean the waiters/ waitresses worked hard and were forever cleaning tables for people to eat,
Party nights on a friday are a memorable occasion, everyone participates,The animation team, the live bands and salsa dancers absolutely brilliant.
The apartment was spacious, very clean and cleaned daily, new towels, bed changed etc, only down side was our aircon didnt work in the bedroom, which we were later compensated by keeping our wristbands on untill we caught our coach to the airport, otherwise we would of had to have them cut off by twelve noon when we checked out.
we had an incident whilst we were there and i must say thank you to Kayleigh our Thomas Cook rep who was willing to help us and did throughout our stay,
A massive big thank you to the Club Playa Blanca for making our holiday such a fantastic time, we will definately return !!!!
The only negative is please dont cut peoples wristbands off at twelve noon as most people leave your hotel after 12, whats a few drinks and some dinner???
