Overall a first class holiday
Excellent hotel, good location close to beach- good for snorkelling. Food was excellent - good variety of choices. Weather ideal - hot but tempered by pleasant winds. All inclusive very good - no queues at bars and wide choice of drinks available.
Thomas Cood rep was extremely helpful. Volcano trip was memorable.
Hired a car and found the island surpisingly interesting considering the lack of greenery. Different rock colours, attractive villages and volcanic landscapes

Nice Hotel Spotlessly clean . Friendly staff
My wife and I stayed at the Be Live Hotel in Costa Teguise, Lanzarote on an all inclusive basis from 25/4/13 to 2/05/13. As it was the last week in April we managed to find an excellent value deal for an all inclusive at this beautiful hotel. The hotel is positioned a couple of kilometres fro the Costa Teguise Resort, but you can walk there in about 30 - 40 mins at a leisurely pace or use the excellent 24 hour bus service which travels both to here and to the capital Areciffe and also the popular resort of Puerto Del Carmen every 20 to 30 mins. Excellent value and service. The hotel is spotlessly clean , has a fantastic open foyer that takes in both the reception and the florr below to the bar and stage level. All the staff are exceptionally friendly and the bedrooms are spacious with a very high standard bathroom / shower area. There are however one or two areas that could be improved. 1) The beds are too hard! 2) The buffet style restaurant provides well cooked food but ther is not enough variation. There can't be many pigs left alive in Lanzarote as pork seems to be served nearly all the time. Also why can there never be a decent English Type sausage in thes places(. A weekness throughout the continent not just here) 3) The live entertainment although of a decent standard for a hotel frequently takes place in a room downstairs instead of on the main stage in the bar/reception area so in order to see it you have to get up from comfortable chairs with your drinks and trapse downstairs to an area with no bar and uncomfortable chairs. Makes no sense. Apparently they have had complaints about the noise from some acts, but as the cabaret is always over by about 10.30 so what. What do people expect in a hotel!
All the above are obvious areas for improvement which could make a good hotel with excellent views and pool facilities into an even better one, and are the kind of easy to put right faults that would make a real difference to what was still a very enjoyable stay.

Relaxing holiday in Lanzarote
Went over 4th October 2012 for 7 nights.
Room: Was overlooking the tennis courts, but had a good view of the sea and pool area. Walk in shower. TV (although only bbc news the only english channel, no eurosport)
Location: Bout a 20 - 30 min walk from main town, but bus stop right outside 1.30 euros.
Drinks list: Not a lot on there, no name spirits, local beer, some slush, fizzy drinks, or hot drinks
Food: Not much variety at all,
Breakfast - pancakes, ham n cheese omelette, bacon, cocktail sausage, scrambled egg, beans or mushrooms, hashbrowns, fruit, yogurt, breads/cakes
Lunch - Erm, Chips, Some meat, Some fish
Snack bar - Paella, hamburger, hotdog, chips, chicken drummers
Evening Meal - Slightly better than lunch
All in all food was poor to mediocre
Sorry to say but won't stop at this hotel again, not deserving of 4 stars.

Don't go here
Just back from belive hotel! This review is from too easy going easily pleased people? Firstly hotel nicely refurbished the only good point! Bad points air con never on, same disgusting raw unedible food everyday including cauliflower peas and pickled onions for breakfast chef is never about so nothing is cooked fresh, 20 mins very brisk walk to any life form ie shops pubs bars and a decent beach taxi or bus everywhere costs a fortune saver staying in puerto del carmen if you want any sort of entertainment or costa the guise centre. Spent more time in buses and taxis to get out of hotel and cost us a fortune to eat out.we were all inclusive and used it 3 times. Advice dont stay here

quite good but could have been better
Food poor- not 4*. often cold- not a wide choice. Snack bar food always cold. cleaning around pool could be better. Seating in bar lounge very poor- uncomfortable and also not nearly enough seats. Smells from sewers inside main building. Some entertainment was good but resident duo were on too often.

sand sea and sangria
The comments that we read on this hotel were unfounded, everything about the hotel was excellent ,food ,drink ,snacks, entertainment, pools, The hotel is outside of costa teguise but within a 30 minute walk if you are able, otherwise taxis are easily accessable, i would recommend this hotel to everyone and whats more you serve youself with wine, beer and sangria, now that is what i call a good start to the holiday.

Good holiday overall
Officially a four-star hotel, this is actually more like three-star at present as areas of the hotel were rather faded (a refurbishment programme was starting during my holiday so this may shortly improve).
On the plus side, reception staff were excellent - I was checked in within 90 seconds! and my room was clean & comfortable. All rooms seem to have a sea view & most also overlook the swimming pools.
The pool-side area was also kept clean, a towel service is provided & there were plenty of sunbeds available (this would probably not be the case in high season) although a large percentage of beds had seen better days. I only used the unheated pool myself & the temperature of that was fine in October.
The restaurant was on the small side for the number of rooms - not a problem off-season, but may cause difficulties when the hotel is full. Quality of food was excellent, but choice was very limited. Soft drinks, beer & some wine were all available as self-service at bars & restaurant. Staff in restaurant & bars were all friendly & helpful.
Costa Tequise itself is a fairly low-key resort, very pleasant & relaxing with nice beaches - good place to relax but not the place to go if you want a riotous night-life. There are bus stops & a taxi rank directly outside the hotel, & you can also walk along the sea front to to the town centre/beaches in around 30 minutes.
All in all, a good relaxing holiday.
