Fantastic hotel, friendly staff, cracking weather. Just perfect.
A 10 minute transfer from the airport lies the Barcelo hotel. And for once a hotel that actually lives up to the photos on the brochure. I honestly cannot fault the place. A lovely, relaxing hotel with the craziest range of food I have ever seen. If you like your food this is the place to go !! I put on over a stone in the 7 nights I was there !!
If you didnt fancy the restaurant for lunch then the pool side snack bar offered a good range of food too, with ice cream, soft drinks and beer on tap served through the afternoon. If you wanted a change and wanted to eat out then a 2 minute walk would lead you to some bars offering food but I couldn't bare to miss out on the all you can eat !!
The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much for them. To be honest i felt like i was being treated like a king !!
The pools were super with a dedicated childs pool but the other 2 were child friendly too and wern't too deep.
Lots for the kids to do. There always seemed to be members of staff walking round the pool shouting out the next actvity for them to do while you sunbathed. Football, tennis, boule etc.
The rooms were great. We were in a super deluxe room. Big and airy. Biggest bed ive ever seen !! Very compfy. Wifi too.
All in all, a superb hotel and one I shall defo return to in the future.

Barcelo Feurteventura = First class hotel
We have just returned from a weeks holiday arriving 31st March staying at the Barcelo Fuerteventura. The Hotel and grounds were lovely and suited a couple or family. Myself and my wife stayed on half board basis and found the food and service of a very high standard with plenty of choice in the buffet restaurant. The hotel and pool area were clean. However, despite a sign saying reserving sunbeds was forbidden nobody took any notice and beds were reserved at early oclock every day.
My wife had two spa treatments and was disappointed by both being that they were expensive, did not last the allocated time, the treatment rooms were cold and treatments were not as good as those at home. The Spa needs to up it's game.
The resort of Costa Caleta is great there are bars and cafes which are cheap and evening entertainment can be found in and around the hotel. The place does have a good atmosphere although the weather was hot it was cloudy and very windy. All in all a relaxing holiday

My husband and I stayed at this hotel from 8th December for one week and I can honestly say that we could not find fault with either the hotel or any of the staff. I emailed in advance asking for a room in block 2, having already paid for a sea view, and on arrival our room was not quite ready. However, we were given free safe and beach towels with no deposit for the inconvenience, which I thought was a nice touch. The room itself was perfect, no. 2327– at the front of block 2 and over-looking the pool and beach and it was spotless. It was cleaned daily and the towels and bed linen changed whenever we requested this. If there was one thing I would have like it was either CNN news or BBC World News on the TV but apart from that there were no complaints.
We used to have breakfast about 9.00am and then take a walk for a paper and even then there were loads of sun beds available by the pool. Weather was perfect with the temperatures around 21 degrees and it was so nice to have daylight from 7.30am to 5.30pm every day.
The food was very good and there was always a good variety for both breakfast and evening meal. I cannot comment on the food at lunch time as we used the Aloe snack bar during the day and it was lovely to be able to help ourselves to drinks and snacks throughout the day.
The hotel had a brilliant entertainment program and I would have to say that the shows at night were the best that we have ever seen.
We did not use the Spa facilities so cannot comment on this.
I would thoroughly recommend this hotel, particularly at this time of year as we had a perfectly relaxing and very enjoyable holiday. Once again, many thanks to all the staff at the Barcelo Fuerteventura Hotel for providing an excellent service throughout our stay.

Couldent ask for more fantastic hotel.
We have just had a week in the barchello fuerteventura, and we could not find a fault the food was outstanding. The room was very spacious and clean and a gr8 view of pool and sea. The only thing that let it down was the weather cloudy everyday and not much sun ,but still warm but what can you expect this time of year. And the small strip had pleanty to do lots of bars and restraunts, and very clean, cant wait to return but in a differant month,i would recomend this hotel and area to anyone FAB.

A short break in Fuerteventura
WE decided to have a short break not too much of a distance from the UK but far enough to enjoy the Sun. As the weather at home has been disappointing to say the least, so we were literally buying some sunshine. We decided to buy with Thomas Cook as they were supposed to be one of the more reliable holiday companies. I booked the hotel online and at the time of booking was offered a sea view, I didn't find this essential and tried to deselect this option but found I could not. I contacted TC via their chatline and was told all rooms were sea view. While I am not short of £63.00 per person, I could think of better things to spend £63.00 on
