Balearics Sustainable Tourism Tax:
You'll need to pay a Sustainable Tourism Tax of between €1 - 4 per person, per adult per night, plus 10% VAT. The amount varies depending on the star rating of your accommodation and is subject to change.
By bus: Getting around is pretty simple thanks to the efficient bus network that connects Ibiza Town with most of the main resorts. Tickets aren’t expensive either, so it’s a great budget option and a chance to meet the locals.
By Discobus: From June to September, clubbers can take advantage of the night-time Discobus service, which runs to the major clubs from 11:00 pm to 6:30 am.
By taxi: You can find taxi ranks easily in towns and bigger villages, or you can make a booking in advance; ask your hotel reception to arrange one for you to get a good deal.
By hire car: To see the island at your own pace, it can be more practical to hire a car.
Carnival: Every February colourful parades, food stalls and live music take over the island’s streets, but the biggest celebrations take place in Ibiza Town and Santa Eulalia.
Clubbing season: The clubs reopen one by one for the season in late April/May; DC-10 and Pacha typically kick off the earliest party, while Amnesia is the last to swing open its doors. Check individual club websites for confirmed 2026 opening and closing dates before you book.
Closing parties: The party season comes to an end with a bang in early October; this is when the big clubs like Hï Ibiza go into hibernation for the winter. Some spots will close even earlier, towards the end of September so make sure you check before you visit.
