We stayed for 3 nights in May and had a fantastic time. This is an excellent small hotel made even better by the staff. We were greeted on arrival by Hubi who provided the best welcome I've experienced at a hotel. Throughout the day Andrea and Christian were on hand to ensure that anyone who was bored or slightly restless had something to do with lots of low-key activities and games (zero pressure to join in, by the way!). And they were still there in the evening making sure all the guests were enjoying the entertainment. The bar staff were friendly and attentive too and Leon makes the best Aperol Spritz! The food in the restaurant (we stayed half board) was excellent to, with lots of choice and plenty of variety across the 3 nights we were there. The rooms was very comfortable and having the wash basin / vanity unit outside of the actual bathroom is a great idea as it meant both of us could get ready at the same time. The only negative is the sliding bathroom door. All in all, a really good hotel. We will definitely be back

This was our second visit to this beautiful, spotlessly clean hotel, in the quiet resort of La Pineda. All the staff are courteous, helpful and friendly, especially the charming Hubi on reception. The bedrooms are beautifully appointed. They contain a fridge, safe, nespresso coffee machine and a kettle. This year we chose to stay 'roadside,' as all poolside rooms have the sink in the bedroom, which we disliked. Floors have either an ice or water dispencer, and reusable water bottles can be purchased from the bar. The restaurant is light and airy, with the option of eating al fresco. We appreciate that all reviews are subjective, but we really enjoy the food: yes, they struggle to maintain the temperature of the hot food, ( we used the microwave,) and the breakfast sausages are anaemic, ( think of your waistline,) but there is plenty of choice, and the offerings are always beautifully presented. If staying half board, bottled still or sparkling water is complimentary at mealtimes. This isn't a large hotel, and outside space is at a premium, the majority of which is taken up by sunbeds. There are tables and chairs to sit at, but sadly, due to their positioning, they never get the sun. We found this a bit disappointing. Cambrils is well worth a visit, and Tarragona, with its amphitheatre, amazing statues, architecture and stunning views is a must. The little train in Tarragona gives you a 45 minute tour, ( covering places you might not otherwise see,) at a cost of €9 per person. You can buy a T10 bus card at the Plana office for a one off payment, ( it doesn't expire,) then chose how much you wish to put on the card. This means each journey works out at an average cost of 60 cents, a huge saving as oppose to paying cash. You only need one card, irrespective of how many are in your parry. You simply tap it the relevant amount of times on the payment machine, (similar to a contactless debit card.) The bus stops are close to the hotel. Neither smoking or vaping are allowed anywhere in the hotel or it's grounds, and it is enforced. We found this rather strange, as the 'Golden Donaire' (opposite,) which is not adults only, allows outside smoking/vaping. As a vaper myself, a small designated outside area, (for us pariahs,) would have been appreciated! All in all, a fabulous hotel, in a lovely relaxing area, and we are already looking to book our third stay!

Staff is brilliant,hotel room is very nice and clean.Food was amazing. Rashid, Lluis, Alyssia and Marco at reception were great and they were very friendly polite and helpful.Also special thank you to the cleaner Cecilia. We will definitely recommend this hotel and definitely will visit again in the near future.
