Dit gezinsvriendelijke strandhotel ligt op slechts 800 meter van het strand Llevant, 150 meter van het stadscentrum van Salou en ongeveer 2 km van PortAventura. In de omliggende regio kunnen de gasten genieten van de stranden Cala Llenguadets en Cala Capellans en van de schitterende boulevard in de stad.Dit appartementenhotel biedt zijn gasten de beste accommodatie. In totaal zijn er 180 kamers beschikbaar. Het is ideaal voor gasten die op zoek zijn naar het comfort van een hotel en naar de onafhankelijkheid die een appartement kan bieden. De gasten worden verwelkomd in een ontvangsthal met een 24 uur per dag geopende receptie en uitcheckservice, een hotelkluis, een lift en een kiosk. Great overall - hotel nice, staff really good - kids well looked after here. Some negatives too. Not sold on Salou as a whole.

We have just returned from a week here - family of 4 (kids aged 6 & 1). The highlight of the hotel was definitely the Goldy Kids Club. Our eldest daughter loved it! She was so well looked after by the staff. They are a credit to the hotel. I think it was on as much as 3x a day on some days. Different theme/activities each time. The entertainment was great too. The same staff as above do some facepainting, balloons, etc and then a mini-disco before a main show such as singers/magicians, circus acts, etc. Oh and theres an arcade, parks, pool tables, ping-pong, footy pitch - basicslly if you've got young kids, they won't be bored here. All of the other staff were great too actually but a special mention goes to Engel the waiter/barman - this man is absolutely 10/10 at his job. A real character as well. Food wise it was definitely on the better side of all-inclusives. The buffet format was largely the same in terms of sides/salads/desserts but the variety was in the 'main' bits - the meat/fish & special dishes - curries, paellas, etc. Really handy little self-service grab & go room near the bar as well to pick up snacks - burgers, toasties, hot-dogs, super useful with the kids as is open pretty much all day. Drinks are generous - Cruzcampo for the lager drinkers like myself but from what I saw on the menu, plenty of shorts and cocktails included on the AI too. Kids can grab soft drinks/juices/ice-creams/slushes at will. Room itself was great - nice and spacious, main room had our bed, kitchen facilities, little living area and the kids room was ample even with the cot. Air-con was okay. Balcony was massive! Now onto some negatives. There is one glaring one that has been mentioned so many times before. The pools are bloody BALTIC! There was some hard kids who battled through but our girls took one dip and were shivering like they'd just come back from the Arctic. Not sure why this hasn't been addressed as it could easily be enough to put a dampener on someone's entire holiday. The only solice was a slightly warmer indoor pool with a definitely warm jacuzzi, and the fact there was lots more to do for the kids. Lounger wars weren't apparent during our stay - plenty to go around. The hotel got quite busy during the second half of our week and it was only then when we realized you could hear everything through the walls. Some of it was probably luck of the draw with inconsiderate neighbours - but yeah, any sort of 4am stompers coming down the corridors and you're waking up. Some of that undesirable clientele did spill over into the bar/entertainment area as well which was annoying but again not the hotel's fault - just unlucky. Oh and someone mentioned it in an earlier review - Plug sockets aren't by the bed so get yourself a 10m phone charging wire or an extension lead! The location I don't think was too bad but the missus would've preferred to be closer to the beachfront. I'd say it was about a 10/15 minute stroll via the main 'strip' so plenty of opportunity for a pit-stop on the way down. Also got the likes of the Red Lion and a couple of football bars (think it was Liverpool & Rangers ones) very close by. Salou itself (for any first-timers like us) is just lacking something for me. I think I'd say it was a bit flat/uninspiring, outside of the hotel. It's par for the course in terms of pubs/bars/restaurants/beach - but there just didn't seem all that much to do aside from all that generic stuff. Well apart from the massive theme park which our kids are much too short to go to. Oh and it was a family resort Mon-Thu but when I ventured down the strip on Friday night - an eclectic mix of bar crawlers, men shouting Charlie at me (weird that's not my name...) and some ladies of the evening. Something to avoid, or not - whatever floats your boat.

Booked here for 10 nights all inclusive - 2 adults and one child (4 yrs old) was also our Honeymoon. Holiday was ok. Didn’t WOW me but was a nice enough stay. Positives Resort is nice, rooms are a bit dated but have mostly what you need. Food was amazing couldn’t fault - everything cooked to perfection and different selection each day. Branded drinks included. Kids clubs great, 2 to choose from (TUI and Goldy Club) really interactive and offer good choices for the kids. (Be aware kids disco starts at 8.45pm for half hour) Negatives You have to pay a local tax at reception Safe in room but you have to hire it (pricey) No iron in room and no hire service ( there is a laundry room in the basement of hotel and they provide a iron and iron board to use there) Towels need to be hired Floor one is extremely noisy - we asked to be moved after 4 nights of being kept awake until gone midnight when everyone returned to their rooms and entertainment stopped - got moved to floor 4 much quieter. Overall was an average holiday, weather was mainly sunny, few odd days of cloud and rain. About a 10 min walk to beach which is a really lovely sandy stretch. Definitely Worth a visit.

Excellent Hotel

We had a fantastic week stay in this hotel as a family of four. Hotel is spotless, food is great, staff are amazing and the location is excellent. The nightly entertainment is brilliant and the staff in the kids club are absolutely fantastic, always enthusiastic and so friendly. The lady on the restaurant always has a warm welcome especially for the kids. Couldn't praise the staff enough, they all work very hard and I commented alot during the week how hard they were working and always with a smile and enthusiasm. The pool was cold, but kids still went in. Overall a great stay and I would definitely recommend.
