Mid May, nice break but not all facilities fully open

Stayed for 8 nights mid/end May. All inclusive was good value for money given the price (booked through booking.com). Food was varied, with wide selection and generally good quality. All inclusive drinks - local beer nice and Sangria on tap. Spirits are mainly local and poured very strong! All inclusive wine with meals was OK. Adult pool area clean and quiet with pool bar from 11am til 5pm, all inclusive snacks are crisps and sandwiches only with cakes in late afternoon in the lobby bar. One meal included in Bonita beach restaurant if staying more than 7 nights but choice was from a special all inclusive menu, many hotels do this one a la carte meal but not something I've encountered before where you don't have access to the full menu. The family pool has 2 water slides, loads of sun loungers, and a different vibe to the adult pool. Beach area is sea defense protected into 2 small bays with lifeguards on duty every day. Very safe for kids. If you like the beach, bear in mind there are private loungers which are 7 euro each per day. Staff were helpful and friendly. Elisa at the lobby bar and Arturo in the buffet restaurant deserve a special mention for their attentiveness. If you want entertainment outside the hotel (we didn't), there are a few bars, but this hotel is not close to a 'strip', so Fuengirolla, Benalmadena, or Torremolinos is your best bet for more lively nightlife. Bus is cheap about 2 euro, taxi about 12 to 15 each way. Hotel in general nice decor and feel, spotlessly clean. All rooms have sea views and are comfortable and very clean. The Nix roof top bar has a chilled vibe, and drinks are the best out of the bars. All inclusive guests pay 50% of the cost. However, you can access all premium drinks for this, whereas the lobby bar has an all-inclusive drinks menu, or you pay full price. May weather tends to be more un settled, and if it's poor, the rooftop bar will close. Acid test - would we return? For what we paid, yes. I assume in high season the pool restaurant is open each day and the other al la carte (Thai restaurant) which was closed would also be open. Hotel entertainment in the night bar was quite good. Adrianna Rogan on Monday night was excellent. The bar inside the night bar was only open on busier nights, which meant quite a queue at the lobby bar for drinks. A good place to stay for a relaxing holiday away from hussle and bussle.

Lovely 3 night break with friends

Just back from a stay at the benalma and have to say it was amazing. The staff are all so friendly and polite. The rooms are spotless with great air con and an additional ceiling fan. We were bed and breakfast but paid for dinner on our first night as we were all hungry after travelling there. There was a great selection of food for everyone. Pastas , salads , chicken , cheese , meats , all the breads and pastry’s you could thing of then fresh fruits and desserts. Breakfast the next morning was also fabulous with a large selection of cooked breakfast , pancakes , churros , cereal again all breads and pastry’s. Also prosecco if you fancied a wee mimosa . I’ve never stayed at a hotel with so much choice. The hotel Is right on the beach with close access to the pool bar. The mojitos and pina coladas the staff made us were so nice and we enjoyed them on the beach . I’ve seen some Reviews about expensive drinks but we got 4 sangria for 19 euro with I think is great from the pool bar the cocktails were 30 but between 4 that’s 7.50 - still a lot cheaper than a cocktail at home. Would definitely recommend this hotel - yes it is a bit out from the marina etc but only 9 euro in taxi and the reception staff always happy to call us one and it arrived in like 1 minute. There is a supermarket and a pizzeria just down from the hotel if you need anything for your room. We were so happy at the hotel we only left at night lol

Good value for money

We booked half board for2 weeks. The rooms were good and clean. Just at the edge of Benalmadena Costa. Restaurants and supermarket withinin 100 meters. Bus stop next door. Food is reasonable, but limited variation. Wines available at good prices. We will come back.
