Het hotel, dat op maar 5 minuten lopen staat van het Levante-strand, bevindt zich op amper 300 meter van de oude stad en het centrum van Benidorm, waar de gasten terecht kunnen in talrijke restaurants, bars en winkels. Dit strandresort bestaat uit twee gebouwen van 6 en 15 verdiepingen, waarin zich 466 kamers bevinden. Het resort heeft twee ruime bar-cafés met service aan het zwembad en een restaurant met airconditioning in elk van de gebouwen. Zakenreizigers kunnen baat hebben bij de 4 congres- en vergaderzalen en de terminals voor internettoegang. Er zijn twee door tuinen omzoomde zwembaden. Het complex heeft een dagelijks amusements- en sportprogramma voor volwassenen en een miniclub voor kinderen. 's Zomers kunnen de gasten avondvoorstellingen bijwonen op het terras van het hotel. 's Winters kunnen de gasten zich ontspannen in het binnenzwembad, waar ook een hydraulische stoel aanwezig is voor gehandicapten.

Air conditioning not working, Wi-Fi is shocking. Told no fans available. Unable to sleep at night due to the extreme heat. They don't care that you cannot sleep at night due to it being so warm. The place needs closing down

Actually 2 trips. 28 days in March and another 4 days in April. The obvious conclusion being that the hotels have several features that I like. GENERAL. The POSEIDON RESORT is actually two hotels (Hotel Poseidon and Hotel Poseidon Palace) that share the same site. Guests, at either hotel, are welcome to use the facilities at both hotels. This gives a choice of pools (which back on to each other), and often a choice of evening entertainment. Both hotels have their own restaurants, lounges, bars and own reception areas, but are directly connected by the pool areas. ROOM AND CLEANING. On the first trip, I was unbelievably happy with the room allocated to me. A roomy high poolside. On the second trip, my room was exactly the opposite of what I had requested, however it was larger than I expected and had a good size balcony. All rooms include a flat screen TV, a small fridge and a small safe. Bathroom was very functional and daily cleaning was to a high standard. RESTAURANT. A nice welcome, as always, from the restaurant manager. I will admit that I am a little bit fussy with food, Since the pandemic, I do not enjoy the menu as much I used to. So, I did eat out on one or two evenings each week. Non fussy eaters should have no problems with the food. Breakfasts are fine, although I find it very strange that that some mornings fried eggs are not available. LOUNGE BARS AND ENTERTAINMENT.. The lounge bar in the Hotel Poseidon, is considerably larger and superior. A nice atmosphere. Prices are very fair, and good service in both hotels. It was been suggested that the entertainment is aimed more at a Spanish audience and there is some truth in this. However, some of the entertainment is good quality. INDOOR POOL ??? Yes, there is an excellent indoor pool in the Poseidon Palace. During the non summer months it is PROPERLY HEATED (unlike some of the other hotels). OUTDOOR POOLS. Hotel Poseidon has a good size pool and also a fairly impressive kids area. Hotel Poseidon Palace has a large lagoon style pool, which gets very busy during summer months. A 20 second walk divides the two pools. RECEPTION AREAS. Reception is the nerve centre of any hotel and incredibly important. During the longer trip, I twice extended the stay. Pedro, in reception, was incredibly patient and helpful. A few years earlier, he also rescued our holiday stay at the hotel, with his understanding and help. Elsewhere in reception, there is plenty of literature and information about day trips and local events. HOTEL POSITION. The Old Town is a 10 minute walk. The Levante Beach is also a 10 minute walk. The Harbour and Poniente Beach are about a 15 to 20 minute walk. The clubbing and and disco area is a long walk or a 8 euro taxi. Personally I spend many of my evenings in the small MAINLY Hispanic area near the top of Calle Esperanto. This is a 6 minute walk. WOULD I, OR WE, STAY AGAIN ?? Yes definitely.

Very comfortable bed, great sleep. Cleanliness of rooms excellent. Efficient & friendly staff, great facilities, & very good breakfast. Great location, 5 mins walk to shops, beach, bars etc. Felt very safe & secure there. Clientel mainly Spanish, friendly.
