Het hotel is gelegen in Cabo de las Huertas, op slechts 15 minuten van het stadscentrum en 70 meter van het strand. Er is een bushalte op ongeveer 100 meter van het hotel en de grote bus- en treinstations van Alicante liggen op ongeveer 10 km afstand. De luchthaven Alicante ligt op ongeveer 30 km van het hotel en de luchthaven Murcia-San Javier ligt op ongeveer 91 km afstand. De luchthaven van Valencia ligt op circa 185 km afstand.Dit charmante, gezinsvriendelijke hotel is volledig ingericht in middeleeuwse stijl. Hier kunnen de gasten genieten van een ontspannen verblijf in een middeleeuws kasteel. Het hotel biedt een onvergetelijke rust in de 34 kamers. Het hotel is van airconditioning voorzien en verwelkomt zijn gasten in een ontvangsthal met 24 uur per dag geopende receptie en uitcheckservice. Tot de verdere voorzieningen behoren ook een hotelkluis, een wisselkantoor, een lift, een café en een bar.De gezellige kamers zijn, evenals de rest van het hotel, volledig ingericht in middeleeuwse stijl. Really nice boutique hotel

This hotel is perfect if you look for a sheltered and quiet place to relax, with short walking distance to the beach or nearby restaurants. We arrived by car, and there is free parking all around the hotel in the street (a lot of free parking in the same area of Alicante). The breakfast was both tasteful and fresh, with good variation of food (fruit, eggs, bacon, sausages, vegetables, plenty of bread and sweet donuts and cakes/danish pastry, yoghurt, juices etc). The small dishes served before dinner were also very nice (freshly baked). Our only mishap was the lunch the first day when 2 of 5 main courses were with fish partly raw in the middle (they fixed this quickly in the kitchen, and the server did a very good job in keeping us satisfied). The rooms we had vere perfect for a short to medium stay, very clean with separate balconies and proper size modern bathroom with large shower. The pool area is quiet and sheltered even if it is windy outside, hence a warm and nice experience. Proper cleaning every day during the week is a good sign of people taking care of the nice property. It also felt good to see the solar panels on the roof, together with the rustic impression and artistic round central tower this made the hotel atmosphere warm and contemporary. Will we come back? Oh yes, we will, and several of the restaurants nearby will also be visited. No need to drive to central Alicante for nice restaurants, suggest you start with nearby Italian/ Spanish / Asian / Grill locations, most of them nearby the tram and the roundabout with the tram station. We opted for late check out, worked fine and gave us a relaxed day before leaving quite late. Next time we will probably also rent bikes or stand up paddle boards; the people in the reception would help you if necessary.

Disappointing

The hotel is within a largely residential area, a one hour walk or 20 minute bus ride. So very much on the outskirts of Alicante city. The rooms are small but functional with excellent shower. The main issue we experienced was the noise levels between room and externally. The rooms looking on to the road have the added distraction of a refuse truck at 02.15 every morning. The breakfast is lacking in both choice and quality. Cold items and disgusting coffee from a machine. We left 5 days early which I think says it all really!

Fabulous, just fabulous

As a frequent visitor to Alicante we have stayed in a wide variety of properties from the stylish Melia to the dreadful Maya but none compared favourably with Calas. It is a truly a boutique hotel and one that looks like it had opened the day before, so sparkling and immaculate. The rooms are quite small but very smartly furnished with a lovely balcony or terrace. The pool is a perfect on a hot day as is the breakfast terrace. And the breakfasts were comprehensive and inventive. Staff throughout the hotel were welcoming and friendly and in truth I can think of not a single thing that could be improved upon. The hotel is outwith the city centre but is a pleasant 10/15 bus ride and as result the hotel is an oasis of peace and tranquility away from the hustle and bustle of Alicante. We will be back.
