Dit aantrekkelijke appartementencomplex is gelegen in het toeristische centrum van Playa del Duque, op ongeveer 600 meter van de mooie zandstranden. Talloze winkels en entertainmentgelegenheden zijn in de directe omgeving te vinden en de dichtstbijzijnde aansluitingen op het openbaar vervoer liggen tegenover het appartementenhotel.Dit appartementenhotel met 3 verdiepingen beschikt over in totaal 210 wooneenheden. Tot de faciliteiten behoren een mooi zwembad en een mooie tuin, evenals een stijlvolle foyer met een receptie die 24 uur per dag geopend is, een televisielounge, een gezellige bar en een restaurant. Een conferentieruimte en een openbare internetterminal (tegen betaling) zijn beschikbaar voor zakenreizigers een voor jongere gasten organiseert de kinderclub activiteiten en is er speelplaats.De smaakvol ingerichte studio's en appartementen hebben een eigen badkamer met een haardroger, een gecombineerde slaap-/woonkamer, een kitchenette, een telefoon, satelliettelevisie, een huurkluisje en een balkon of een terras. Great experience all round

Bit late on the review but I knew I had to write one... Overall the hotel was fantastic for us wanting a nice relaxing holiday. Although it is surrounded by shops, markets and restaurants it is very quiet, especially round the smaller pool. We usually like to take.a trip to the beach once or twice when we are away for a change of scenery but we didn't feel the need staying here, we just took a daily trip to the local mini market in the shopping centre, less than 5 minutes walk and everything extra you might need. There's everything within walking distance, my partner had heartburn one evening an we where able to find a late night pharmacy less than 10 minutes walk away. All the staff are very friendly and always willing to help with anything. We arrived 2 hours before check-in and shown a store room to leave our suitcases (which is locked and key kept behind reception) but still got given our all inclusive wrist bands so we could enjoy lunch and a drink while we waited. The room was, again, great, we requested a pool view prior to checking in and got given one (also seemed to have been upgraded for free which was nice, we will definitely be paying for the upgraded room next time), comfortable beds and a nice living room and big balcony area. We didn't use the kitchen but it's always nice to have, as well as a fridge for drinks we kept in the room. We did spot a few ants around the sink but quickly realised this was our own fault as we had been emptying the remnants of bottles of drinks down it without rinsing it down, once we started rinsing the sink we had no more issues. It was spotless on arrival and kept this way throughout the stay, the cleaning staff again very friendly and had no problem accommodating any requests. The food was excellent, didn't have the biggest choice/variety as some hotels I've stayed in previously but everything that was served was top notch, breakfast was especially good. Drinks where all local, but still good with good measures going in the cocktails, the local beer Dorada is one of my favourites so was happy to see it on tap here, the bar staff where all very good, friendly and knew your drink orders. We only went to watch the evening entertainment a few times but it was enjoyable each time we went. We are hoping to be back later this year, but if not definitely at the beginning of next year!

Amazing hotel and great location!

Just arrived home from our one week stay. The hotel was absolutely amazing, we only stayed self catering so can’t comment on the food or drink but the hotel itself is beautiful! All of the staff were very helpful throughout our stay. Our room was spotless when we arrived, ceiling fan in the living room then the option to hire a standing fan for the bedroom for just €15 for the week with a €10 deposit. Beds were the comfiest I’ve slept on in a hotel for a long time, they felt like memory foam. Housekeeping did an excellent job at cleaning and making the beds up everyday, the general cleanliness and upkeep of the hotel was very good, everything looked spotless. We only used the main pool during our stay but it was lovely, large enough and happy with how deep the pool was as most hotels I’ve stayed in the canaries don’t have a very deep pool, but it was very clean and the best part was that they don’t allow you to reserve sun beds as the pool area is closed off until 9am. There was always plenty of sun beds spare so you didn’t struggle to find any even in the middle of the day. This was our first time in Tenerife, the area of the hotel was lovely. Our favourite part was The Duke Shops which was connected to the hotel via a security gate. We visited the Irish Bar and the restaurants along the top every night, so they were amazing quality. A not of a steep hill to walk back from if you decide to go to the beach and main seafront promenade, we found it okay but if you were less able bodied you may struggle.

Amazing experience from start to finish

Just arrived home from a 2 week all inclusive stay at El Duque with my wife and our 6 year old daughter. We cannot recommend the place enough! What a fabulous experience from the moment we arrived. We arrived at around 9pm to the hotel and we were immediately prioritised at check in due to having a young child, we were given our all inclusive bands and got to leave our luggage in a secure room while we had a quick dinner due to the buffet closing at 9.30pm. After dinner we went up to our room, we were located in H block which has a beautiful view of the pool and is directly opposite the restaurant so in terms of location we couldn't have asked for better. The room was a decent size and was equipped with more than what we needed, the beds we're super comfortable and the room was immaculately clean. Only downside was that there was no air conditioning but we knew this prior to booking. There was however a ceiling fan which was a little noisy but still done the job. When we opened the fridge on arrival there were bottles of water and 3 snack plates consisting of cheese, meats, crackers etc, I imagine this was due to our late arrival time which was a really nice touch. We spent most of our days by the main pool which was excellent. There were always plenty of sunbed available at all times of the day. One of the lifeguards was brilliant with our daughter and even gave her a few tips on how to learn how to swim. There was a great atmosphere at the pool as the entertainment team were always around encouraging children and adults to take part in activities at scheduled times during the day. Our daughter went to the mini club a few times throughout our stay and she loved the mini disco and face painting as well with Claudia & Vas. As it is not a huge hotel there was a personal touch with staff remembering your name/drink order etc. The bar staff were so friendly and nothing was ever an issue to them. There is a quieter pool located just across from the reception area but we chose to stay by the main pool for the children's pool & activities as well as the fact we wanted to be close to the bar. The quieter pool has a bar however it was closed during our stay, I imagine it only opens high season when it is busy. The buffet selection was great. At breakfast there was always fresh omlettes, pancakes, waffles, cooked items etc. Definitely something for everyone and it was always hot. Lunch and evening buffet was quite similar, always a selection of cooked meats, stews, rice, chips, fish, salad. There were a few themed nights when we were there but you could always get 'normal' food as well during the themed nights. Food was always cooked fresh and was always hot by the time you got back to the table. Can't complain about the selection of food and I am a fairly plain eater. In terms of location the hotel is joined on to a shopping complex and a few restaurants. Fanabe market is directly across the road on a Thursday and Saturday morning. The beach is about a 10min walk downhill, however you may wish to consider a taxi back up the hill. There are taxi ranks located outside the shopping complex should you need a taxi from the hotel. The hotel itself has gated entry which was a nice touch, had a real sense of security. There were also security guards at the gates in the evenings for added safety. The evening entertainment at the hotel was actually really good. A great variety of singers, dancers, magicians. All entertainment stops at 11pm so there is no music playing into the night. There was a great mix of families, older couples and older groups, no rowdy crowds and everyone was super friendly. There was a great mix of cultures, it wasnt a typical Britts holiday which was refreshing. The only downsides that we came across was the pool bar not opening til 11am which doesn't sound like a big deal. But if you finish breakfast by 9am you are sitting for 2 hours without a drink. Also every 3rd day the hotel staff power wash the pool area so you cannot access loungers until after 10am. On our day of check out we booked a shower slot with reception and we were able to store our luggage in a locked room until we were ready to leave. All in all it is a fabulous hotel with amazing staff and does not deserve just a 3* rating. We will definitely be returning for future holidays.
