Dit comfortabele strandhotel ligt op slechts 100 meter van de woonwijk Costa Adeje en ongeveer 1000 meter van het centrum van Playa de las Americas. Op slechts enkele stappen afstand vinden de gasten aansluitingen op het openbaar vervoer. Het is ongeveer 200 meter naar een uitnodigend zandstrand en de turkooisblauwe zee. Maar ook talloze winkels, vele restaurants en diverse bars zijn gemakkelijk te bereiken.Dit luxueuze hotel is te vinden in een unieke natuurlijke omgeving met een subtropische tuin van 12.000 m². Het heeft 5 verdiepingen en is in 1987 gebouwd. In de architectuur zijn Arabische invloeden zichtbaar. In totaal zijn er 390 kamers, waaronder tweepersoonskamers en suites. De gasten hebben onder andere ook de beschikking over de Tropical Wellness Spa, met vele health- en beautybehandelingen en een kapsalon. 5 bars en 5 restaurants zijn beschikbaar. Het businesscenter biedt internettoegang (tegen betaling) en de gasten hebben eveneens de beschikking over was- en roomservice (tegen betaling). Ook is er een parkeerterrein beschikbaar.De comfortabele kamers hebben een eigen badkamer met een haardroger en zijn voorzien van een telefoon, internettoegang (tegen betaling), een plasmatelevisie, een minibar (tegen betaling) en een huurkluisje. Alle kamers hebben een balkon of een terras. A week in the sunshine.

We haven’t been to any of the Canary Islands for quite a while, so decided to try Tenerife, for some sunshine. We secured a good deal through Secret Escapes and off we went. The hotel is clean and a warm welcome was received. The check in process was a little chaotic, but not overly welcoming. Our room was a double bed sea view. The room itself was not the biggest we’ve stayed in by a long way. The double bed was two singles pushed together, not even made up as a double. The en-suite was small, with a ridiculous basin - granite composite, too small to wash in and the water went everywhere! The shower had good pressure and hot water. We had to ask for more hangers, as there were only 6 in the wardrobe. These came within 15 minutes. Our sea view balcony was quite a good size with a small table and two chairs and as we were on the 8th floor (reception is on 5, so don’t be alarmed!), we enjoyed the evening sunshine every day. The cleaning of the room was a disappointment. They didn’t clean the bathroom daily, just rearranged the towels. They didn’t wash the glasses we used from the mini bar, either. Not what one expects. The buffet breakfast included in our tariff, was extensive, but a great deal that wasn’t to our taste…..The fruit selection was a combination of fresh and tinned. The staff were on the whole helpful and friendly. We only ate in the buffet restaurant in the evening once. This was pleasant but nothing more. Also very quiet. There are other restaurants on site, but these also looked quiet. Maybe everyone else did what we did and ate out? The pools were clean, the sun beds are plentiful, but very close together. The aqua aerobics each morning at 12 was fun. My other half enjoyed the outdoor gym each day. Lunch at the Bareback Grill (by the pool) was very good. The staff friendly and engaging. The food choice was good too. They only got one order wrong for us in 6 days! There are a large number of restaurants within a walkable distance and also a taxi ride away. The private transfer to and from the airport was approximately 15 minutes, but very little airport disruption at the hotel, except for helicopters!

A little bit of paradise

Chose this hotel as it was highly recommended and we certainly weren't disappointed. We upgraded to premium club which was an extra £600 b4 we went and enjoyed the extra benefits of the top terrance and Bali beds and the lunch and teatime snacks, would definitely upgrade again. The room was spotless, good sea views, amazing 7ft bed and lovely bathroom. The hotel itself had a lovely chill vibe and the garden setting was lovely. What was great was the pool setting, waterfalls and not having to rush for a sunbed any day, a pleasure not always available at other hotels we've stayed at in Tenerife. The breakfast was excellent, could not fault it, Yasmin always had a smile and the setting we generally picked under the well kept curved render walls by the waterfall very relaxing. The premium plus area for snacks and drinks was always well stocked and Ana greeting us every day with a lovely welcome. We went bed and breakfast as we like to eat out but the choice of resultants is good and the evening buffet we had on one night was very good. The barefoot grill was also great for hot food at lunchtime. We would definitely pick this hotel again, the service was faultless, and we would pay for the premium club, a great 9 nights away to celebrate our 25th anniversary, we will be back next year

Fabulous, but crowded at Easter

Fabulous hotel, very friendly staff, gorgeous gardens, lots of variety in the places around the hotel, lovely food, great location, very scenic outdoor gym, lovely bars, problems resolved quickly (staff were great at this, e.g. José). The evening music was mainly excellent (especially the trio 3 to the Beat or similar, I can't quite remember, they play Saturday nights). Only downside was the pool area was extremely crowded and noisy for the first few days (Easter weekend) but then it settled down. The pool is very deep so the kids would go to the shallow end, but the kids pool was by the deep end so they were at both ends. I would definitely go back, but not over public holidays.
