Dit luxe hotel ligt op slechts enkele minuten lopen (ca. 500 m) van de golfclub en het strand van Caleta vandaan. De toeristische wijk van Caleta de Fusta ligt in de directe omgeving van het hotel.Het hotel heeft in totaal 212 eenpersoons-, 2 tweepersoonskamers, 9 suites en 223 appartementen. One of the worst hotels we have stayed at. The hotel is generally in a poor condition. The internet in the room was poor. When we raised this we were told it is just what it is. There was also heavy construction work going on in the pool area. The noise and vibrations could be heard and felt throughout the complex, making the hotel and room intolerable. Worst thing is that when we complained, they were not apologetic and even tried to say it had stopped whilst we took a video of their manager standing watching the work ongoing. Extremely poor experience, in an otherwise nice part of the island to stay.

Stayed over Xmas (second time in 2022), I enjoy this hotel BUT solely for location and booking a seaview suite. I would NOT stay AI as I do not think it’s geared for AI, it is as many say, a concrete jungle, defo could do with a brighter revamp. I did enjoy the food (HB), changed dinner to lunch a few times and always enjoyed what I had. Xmas dinner was delicious! I always found the reception staff very helpful, maybe not overly friendly but do they need to be. The pool areas were not for me, as was the pool bar, nowhere to sit and enjoy a couple of drinks in this area, again bit of a concrete jungle. The bar outside was nice to sit in the sun and people watch. As we paid for the suites, these came with sunbeds on the balcony, so our day was spent on the balcony with fabulous views in a great location and that was what suited us as a couple. Rooms were perfectly comfortable and clean.

Disgraceful place - avoid!

I will start with the good points about the hotel as they’re few and far between. *Rooms - large, spacious apartment style *Location - beachfront and 5 minute walk from bars, restaurants at the closest lively commercial centre Now for the bad. Bearing in mind this is marketed as a 4 star hotel. Currently the main pool is empty with noisy building works going on throughout our stay (from 8am so no chance of a lie in). We weren’t informed about this before our stay but found out via a Facebook forum. My travel agent contacted the hotel at my request and was advised the work would be finished before we arrived. This wasn’t the case - it doesn’t even look half finished! This had a huge impact on our stay as there is only one bar (pool snack bar) open through the day and it is right where the work is taking place so you can’t sit and enjoy a relaxing drink. Being all inclusive, this is what you pay extra for. The small pool was open but again you can hear the constant noise from the builders behind you so it’s not a great experience. All inclusive is an absolute joke. Breakfast is the only edible meal. The snack bar food isn’t worth giving to an animal; raw cheap burgers, limp salad, hot dogs, dry buns. Lunch in the restaurant very poor, choice extremely limited, staff overworked, no drinks offered - no one is friendly or says hello. Basic customer service lacking throughout. We didn’t bother with the evening meal, but heard it was almost identical to lunch. Can’t get a drink anywhere other than the snack bar with building works right next to it. Nowhere to sit if weather is poor. Nice seating area at the front by the beach but no bar you’d have to bring your drinks down in the lift or stairs each time which seems ridiculous! (A good walk as hotel is huge) Almost everything in the hotel is currently in disrepair or out of order. All games, vending machines, cash machines, we visited the spa and more than half the steam rooms and saunas out of order as were the showers, still charged us €10. Huge holes in the ceiling at the entrance. The place lacks character massively, feels like a budget business hotel not a place people come to enjoy a holiday. Entertainment was none existent, no atmosphere, very small lobby bar only open a few hours in the evening. Seen a singer one night out of 5 but hardly anyone stays in the hotel despite being AI, it’s that bad! Lastly and worst we seen a huge RAT running through the first floor corridor one night and there was also a dead bird on our balcony for the full 5 days we were there. This shows cleanliness and hygiene aren’t top priority. If you’re booked here - do yourself a favour and go elsewhere. Caleta de Fuste is a nice place; this hotel is not.
