This was our first visit to Cyprus and we were very much looking forward to it as we had a family wedding to attend in our second week. We had heard that Cyprus was
very expensive so we decided to go half board. After looking at hotels and apartments and many reviews we decided to stay in the Anastasia Hotel which is the sister hotel joined onto the Marlita apartments. I can honestly say that we are so glad we choose this hotel as everything about this hotel was brilliant; the food was excellent and the Staff were very friendly, rooms are cleaned every day with clean towels. The hotel also has an aqua park which is great for families with children and it is free to enter if you are staying in the hotel through Thomas cook, you just ask for your blue arm band from reception. The hotel is situated away from the main strip with a walking distance of about 15min; there are still plenty of good bars and restaurants close by

The Marlita Beach is a well placed hotel right next to the sea.
The balconies are small but the apartments have plenty of room inside.
The grounds are lovely with pl
enty of sun beds the pool could have been cleaned more though.
We found the reception staff to be a little bit unfriendly though a problem we had with the safe in our room was quickly fixed. We only had two towels to use even though there were three of us I tracked down the maid eventually and asked for more towels it seemed like a major inconvenience to them to supply me with more.
However the rooms were clean and the beds very comfortable. The airconditioning was great.
There are some really nice places to eat within a few minutes walk from the hotel Blue Spice is particularly good. Pernera also has some good places to eat Knights pub is very good.

We stayed in Tsokkos Garden Appartments and not the one listed above as the drop down menu on this site did not work!
In the meantime, location was fantastic, food
and drink and common supplies very expensive but there is a Lidl on the island which we found way into the holiday. The Thomas Cook rep was not helpful and did not arrive to sort our excursions out so we had to do this privately. The rooms needs to be updated and out of date but other than that it was truly great.
The worst thing was at Cyprus airport on the return journey, and despite being staffed took along to get us through. Also, be aware that this must be purposefully done as they try to charge you extra for fast track booking - alot of money pinching that we could all do without! Cyprus however, was great, weather was great and we are looking foward to going back again.

A Great week, Lovely location and the Food was lovely with a great choice at all meal times

I booked my holiday with Thomas Cook in the Metro Centre. I was advised at the time that I would be flying with Mint Airways I didnt really think into this that much
until I boarded the plane. The plane had to be about 20 years old and was dirty inside and out. Nothing seemed to work onboard you couldnt hear the pilot speak or the cabin crew when they were completing their safety message. The seats were dirty and had never been cleaned for a long time. Legroom was the worst I have ever had on a flight to Cyprus.
The hotel was clean and in a nice location. the reception staff I found very rude to guest this didnt bother us as we were selfcatering and spent a lot of time in Protaras. The cleaning staff were excellent we would come back from the beach every day to find that are room had been cleaned to an excellant standard and all dishes washed and fresh towels in the bathroom.
The flight home all I can say is thankfully it was a Thomas Cook plane and not that Mint plane.

Food wasn't up to the standards you'd expect from a 4* all inclusive. But hotel works much better if you are self catering. The waterpark was a great bonus!

Really enjoyed my stay at the Marlita Beach Aparthotel.Myself and my partner took our 3 yr old grand-daughter,she absolutely loved it.Accomadation very spacious, room
cleaniness was good cleaned everyday, maintaince was good our safe deposit box was faulty, reported it and was sorted straight away.Lots of places to eat either in Protaras itself which was a lovely 15-20min stroll along a promenade or Penera which is about a 10min walk.Very enjoyable 2wk stay beautiful weather what more could you ask for.Going back next year with the rest of the grand-children.

Had a fab time. All inclusive food and drink very good. Excellent service from staff. Waterpark a bit disappointing as was located at back of Anastasia Hotel next to
Marlita and all Inclusive facilities not available at waterpark. Too hot in July to explore the surrounding areas, especially with kids, but they enjoyed the pool area. Went on the Black Pearl Boat trip which was ok,. also went on the crazy squab and the walk into Protaras at night along the beachfront was lovely, took about 20 mins.

Nice beach, although a few under water rocks. enjoyed the water park and pools. Nice walk along the promenade in both directions. The better restaurants were in Prota
ras itself.
Not enough utensils provided for self catering ie 1 frying pan and one large tureen only.
Plenty to do for 2 teenage sons to keep them occupied all week.

We stayed at the Tsokkos Beach Hotel in Protaras, Cyprus from 13-25 July 2011.
To begin with we found the checking in procedure very easy, the staff courteous and i
t was very quick and easy. The rooms were ready on arrival and clean, spacious and with everything that we needed in them. Had some trouble with the fridge not working but a quick call to reception and that was sorted out, no problem. The views from the balcony were very nice, although looking out onto the street, all was quiet and the beach could be seen which was all good.
The restaurant staff were welcoming, very quick, clearing the tables, polite and we were shown to seats with ease. There was no queuing for food which was good. The food itself was of a high standard, good quality and cooked well. Although, the menu did at times become repetitive, could do with some variation at dinner time. The breakfasts were nice, everything very hot and cooked well, nice eggs and bacon. We were served drinks as soon as we sat down and everything was so tidy and clean.
There was no rush for sunbeds; there was enough room for anyone that wanted one. The grounds around the pool were very clean as was the swimming water and pool, which was just about perfect. Never got too crowded as well.
The entertainments team of Malky and Leanne were ace. Very funny, always took the time to walk around the pool and talk to everyone, trying to involve you in their activities but were never over bearing or tried to force you into it. Loved the sunbed quizzes and the Music quiz. They had a very wide programme of daytime and night time activities, darts, pool, water polo, bingo and a great selection of music playing to relax to around the pool while sunbathing.
The All-inclusive package was good. A wide selection of drinks could be consumed and the bar staff were always quick to serve, polite and knew what they were doing.
The beach is literally just down the road. It’s lovely, never gets that busy, only at weekends and the sea is gorgeous.
The main street of shops/bars and restaurants are also just down the road. Quite a large selection with gifts and anything easy to buy.
It was a great, relaxing, lovely holiday. The weather was perfect, hardly a cloud in the sky and very hot. Would definitely recommend the accommodation and resort.

Having arrived at this hotel after a very long day due out flight being delayed, our first impression was that reception appeared very fresh and welcoming and the po
ol area looked inviting. This impression did not last long as the hotel appears to have expanded on many occassions and if your luckly you may be staying in one of the new blocks im sure it would have been lovely unfortunately for us we were in D Block (D for dump we later concluded) firstly there is no lifted which meant had to carry our cases up three flights of stairs, on opening the room door it smelt damp and obviously needed a lick of paint. The view on the other hand was out to sea once you got past looking at the bins and cleaners quarters (which was very noisy). For the first three days we had no air conditioning and when we finally insisted on moving rooms maintenance fixed the problem. On the up side the food was excellant as we stayed half board and location is an easy walk to both resorts. This hotel is also used by the locals on weekeds making the pool area very busy and can make finding a sunbed a task. We do feel if you are considering this hotel ensure on arrival you do not stay in D Block as it really needs an update and appeared to be a very run down.

We had been to Protaras before so we knew the area. We booked SC but upgraded when we arrived at the hotel as the price couldnt be beaten! The room was basic but oth
er guests said the Hotel rooms were better. The pools were great for the kids, plenty of sundbeds all around the pool. Day time activities were ok with the Reps, which my husband took part in. The resturant staff and bar staff were really friendly and really helpful. The food was excellent lots of different chioces for breakfast lunch and dinner. The AI drinks (local|) were good too wine, cocktails and juices for the kids.
The evening entertainment was ok, all run by the reps performing shows, but the best was the kids disco every night which our daughter couldnt wait for every night! We have booked to go back in August for two weeks this time, cant wait!!!

My wife and I had an excellent holiday to Cyprus. The accommodation was very good, and situated in an excellent position to the resort and beach, the beach was absol
utely lovely. We were half board, and very glad we were, the restaurant was very repetitive, breakfast was fine, but lunch was pretty much the same everyday. We had dinner out every night, as we like a change. The pool was excellent, and well maintained. If your half board, please stay away from the bar, 2 drinks, ( 2 cokes ), was 720 euros !.. I went to the supermarket next door to the hotel, 140 euros for 2 tins ! slight difference. Yes I would stay there again, only I would go All inclusive if only for the free drinks, although not much choice behind the bar... The maid service was second to none, they were there every day, the rooms were spotless. The 2 entertainers Malky and Leanne where excellent, and got everyone involved around the pool. All in all, overall Holiday was Excellent.

We have just returned from 2 weeks in Protarus & we found it very difficult to leave. The weather was fantastic in the 30's every day which is more than you can hope
for the first 2 weeks in October. We were booked to stay in the Marlita Beach on a self catering basis but were moved to its sister hotel the Tsokkos Gardens after 2 nights. I have to say, it was our choice to move as we were offered an upgrade to all inclusive for the inconvenience. we were in no was made to feel we 'had' to move and we returned to the Marlita every day to use the pool & kids club facilities as they were better than the hotel we were moved to & our son had made a few friends in our first few days & wanted to play with them.
The Marlita is in a great location, very quiet and right on the seafront. Its a good 15 min walk along the coastal path to Proaras but we didn't mind the walk. Its a bit quiet walking along the path if your returning late a night though and we opted to return by taxi most nights ( only 7 euros) as our son who's 7 was a little scared walking along in the dark. The path is lit but the lights are very dim & if theres no one else around, its a little eerie! We will be returning to the Marlita next year but will be opting for self catering again as we were not the only family to have been moved to the Tsokkos Gardens & upgraded to all inclusive!!

We stayed at the Marlita Beach Hotel in May and rebooked for a holiday in October.
The main attraction of the hotel for us is its location on the sea front at Perner
a and the spacious sun bathing area. The hotel facilities were more than adequate for our needs and there were always sun loungers available. The rooms were cleaned daily and maintained to a good standard.
The meals were the usual buffet style and offered a good choice. The standard of the food was better in May than October possibly reflecting the fact tht the hotel was about to close for the winter. The hotel is in Pernera which is quiet but nearby Protaras offers the usual array of lively bars etc. Both resorts appeared to be the process of closing down in October with many of the hotels and bars already shut. Many of the hotel staff came from eastern europe and all were friendly. Thanks goes to Jana in particulal who was very helpful. Between our visits the hotel introduced charges to use wifi which at 70euros a week is a but OTT

myself and two friends stayed for a fortnight at the Marlita beach hotel / holiday apartments on a self catering package, the apartment was the best and most comfort
able and spacious that we have ever stayed in to date, its location was minutes from Protaras and two wonderful beaches hosting many sporty activities such as parasailing at a very well run establishment called staveros on fig tree bay(the yellow parachutes) highly recommended!!. sunbeds were plentiful as well as light refreshments along the beaches, sunbeds with umbrellas were very reasonable at 3.50 euros for the day. the restaurant only fools and horses become a favourite place to eat out along with a few small restaurants along the board walk from our hotel (Marlita beach) to Protaras, we found that the hotel food selection/verity was plentiful, however we did not find the food in the hotel hot enough for our liking,(not to be put of by this) we also took a couple of the Thomas Cook excursions sold to us by a very delightful rep who was most helpful when deciding which ones would suit us. entertainment was available every evening, and being part of the huge Tsokos group of hotels, guests were able to use the facilities of other hotels nearby,
Overall the best holiday experience we have had and will most definitely be re booking to stay at the same resort next year

Excellent location and excellent accomodation only spoiled, as every year, by the flights. Some people say it is only flights to and from Stanstead! Anyway, the best
thing to do is avoid Thomas Cook flights, every one is delayed. If you check before departing it is to schedule but when you arrive at the airport, you have a two hour delay and the the day before you set out, you get a letter stating that your return flight is put back two hours! Don't bother paying for extra legroom because these seats are full of people who are morbidly obese and the seats you have paid extra for are of restricted width. In fact it is worth paying extra not to have extra legroom!
For the extra legroom, you have to be able-bodied and be able to open the exit and get out. I don't know how the term able-bodied is arrived at here?

A great hotel for location as I think all the rooms had great sea views. The few day time activities available if you wanted them (water polo, darts, boules, water a
erobics etc) were good for teenagers as they made friends with others and had a good time as a group. Hotel very clean with regular maid service. Everyone very friendly. Would recommend self catering as eating out cost about the same as the hotel and, from what we heard from those on all inclusive,we probably took the better option (unless you are going all inclusive for the drink). Water park trip is a must. August was probably a bit too hot (40-44 degrees). Still a brilliant holiday.

On arrival, was very disappointed with the standard of accommodation. The appartment was dirty and hadnt been cleaned properly and there were 3 resident slugs living
in the main bedroom on the damp wall, not to mention the ants living in the kitchen! On the plus side, the appartments were in a good location, walking distance to shops and restaurants of Pernera and Protaras. Plenty of sunbeds available at all times of the day and lovely pool area and surroundings. Food was good with a few choices at dinner time although lack of tables when busy. Staff helpful and friendly, but do not think accommodation was up to the standard it should have been.

We had a great holiday at the Marlta beach as all we wanted to do was chill and relax. The complex was great and the hotel offered great poolside activities for ever
yone including those who stayed self catering like we did. We travelled with our 7 yr old and 6 month old. the apartment gave us a fantastic view over looking the pool and sea and was very spacious. Our room was cleaned every day and I only used the cooking facilities to cook my 6 month old some meals and was totally acceptable. The only downside is that you are slightly restricted to where to eat if you are self catering in Pernera (as it is a 20min walk to Protaras and in the humid heat we were getting was too far to go),but was happy with Blue Spice, Nufaro and Ifalos restaurants. Didn't go to The only fools and horses bar etc as really like to experience the local food when on holiday. We treated ourselves to this holiday for our wedding anniversary and when we received the tickets was greatly surprised by a note in the brochure wishing us a happy anniversary whilst in the resort. Not a gripe but We were once reps and when we received this type of info we always ensured our guests received a bottle of wine to celebrate, may be the rep Karen didn't get this info on her rooming schedule? We have booked to go to Egypt with Direct holidays in October to celebrate my 40th perhaps we may have a little something there to help celebrate? Overall a good time but do prefer the Greek Islands.

Marlita Beach Hotel for us was excellent in all respects, it is a good walk away from Protarus proper. The hotel is spotless and the food is of a very high standard.
There are a few supermarkets and bars locally, however the main buzz is in Protarus. However this hotel is right on the beach which is very pleasant. The pools are real nice order and there are plenty of sunbeds. We were half board.
