Özgür in restaurant and Ali who is the bellboy make difference. Especially Özgür loves his job and makes you feel like a guest in his house. Last but not least all other departments like hk, fo, kitchen are world class level. Thanks to all team.

Contrasting Experiences at Doubletree by Hilton Istanbul Esentepe: Stellar Staff Overshadowed by Service Shortcomings

My recent stay at Doubletree by Hilton Istanbul Esentepe from May 5th to May 15th offered a mix of experiences, leaving me with contrasting impressions. Özgür, the waiter serving breakfast, was the highlight of our mornings. His professionalism, politeness, and exceptional service shone brightly amidst the otherwise cloudy experience. Similarly, the Assistant Manager at the front desk displayed commendable professionalism, constantly striving to assist and enhance our stay. However, the overall experience did not quite meet the standards of a reputed 5-star hotel. The rooms lacked an appealing view and necessary privacy, as they faced another close building. This undoubtedly affected the overall ambiance and comfort of our stay. Another key issue was the housekeeping staff's performance. Their services felt tied to daily tipping, leaving their tasks incomplete if the extra monetary appreciation was not provided. This was disappointing and in contrast to the expectations of a hotel of this caliber. Moreover, the staff's over-eager assistance with luggage, seemingly to solicit tips, felt intrusive and detracted from the hospitality expected at such establishments. On the administrative front, the hotel did not provide an email receipt, causing unease about the charges' transparency. Additionally, one of the three rooms booked was not credited to my Hilton account, leading to a loss of reward points. Upon expressing my dissatisfaction during checkout, I was not provided a platform to officially share my feedback. The hotel's failure to send a review form felt like a missed opportunity to address concerns and improve their services. In conclusion, while the Doubletree by Hilton Istanbul Esentepe had its positive aspects, mainly thanks to Özgür and the Assistant Manager, the overall experience was marred by several shortcomings. Until these areas are addressed, it's challenging to recommend this hotel to those seeking a seamless 5-star experience.

Double Tree Hilton Experience

Excellent service and peaceful sleep. Room was spotless clean, and neat. Breakfast was show class and super tasty. Özgür and Hakan was super helpful and friendly while serving breakfast. Will stay here again when I come back to İstanbul.
