The hotel itself and facilities are lovely. The issue is the language barrier. Literally nobody is English or speaks English! Kids could not get involved in kids club, mini disco, activities etc due to the severe language barrier. Couldn’t even order properly in the a la carte restaurant as they could not understand us. No rep on site, no welcome meeting, nobody to contact apart from TUI app which didn’t work until half way through our holiday. Don’t go if you’re English and don’t speak German

Most difficult review I have ever written

The customer service manager, Aneka, said to us before we left that she would like a good review from us, as they really want more english guests, to which I replied I would give an honest review. That has proved to be easier said than done. Dissapointments early in the holiday, probably made later niggles seem worse than they in fact were. I will start with the positives first, We were really impressed with how well maintained the grounds were, the gardners deserve a medal and the cleaning staff do a great job. Often an all inclusive holidays you can barely taste the alcohol, that was definately not the case here, in fact my wife wanted them a little weaker. Although the resort was clearly busy, there was always plenty of sunbeds, being an older couple we did not want the noise of being by the very large pool so were happy that these were available throut the substantial grounds. As for the food, we found it plentiful, varied and delicious, as usual with this type of catering the food was not always hot (you cant keep food piping hot without overcooking it), it was usually warm, mainly thanks to each dish being in a seperate covered container ( when the lazy ignoramuses can be bothered to put the lids down after they finish). The entertainment was also very good, although I would personaly like more customer participation, especialy Karaoke (popular with english guests). So, back to the aforementioned disapointments, Why would you put a couple in their 60's in the furthest block from the main complex, it would have helped if we could have used the gates at that end to go to the local shops (the shops on site are very expensive, eg a pack of 100 tissues on site 4 euro's the very same pack in the local shops 2 euro's). The room itself was clean large and comfortable, however did not look like the rooms shown on the resort website, instead of pretty pastal flowers as shown, we had brick pattern wallpaper and the other wallpaper was coming away from the bottom of the wall in a couple of places. The fridge was barely cold enough and generated a lot of heat from the back. the bathroom while not large was clean and servicable, the supplied toileties were shower gel , hair conditioner and body lotion (would have prefered shampoo), I did not have a problem with the shower, but my wife found the floor slippy. Two wardrobes, not tall enough for long dresses, but then we did not see anyone wearing one, one wardrobe had 8 coathangers the other had none, on Sunday we asked Aneka if we could have another 8 she made a call, but by Tuesday none had arrived, so we went to reception, by the time we got back to the room we found 2 plastic coathangers which had obiously been left by guests, went back to reception, another call later we got another 5, 2 of which were actually resort coathangers. My next dissapointment came the next day, according to the activities board near the pool, air rifle shooting/archery everyday at 10.30am, being a keen archer I was very pleased, however that changed when I found that was incorrect and only the air rifle was available, how hard is it to update your signage. One of the other niggles was in the restaurant, the staff while very helpful and attentive, and really quick at clearing empty plates, they were less quick at re laying empty tables so we often had to wonder around looking for a table. I did not find the language barrier a great problem, Yes I do speak a reasonble amount of German, but did not find I needed it a great deal. That said the only member of the entertainment staff to talk to us was Smilley, I would like to think that was due to the others not speaking english. Two members of staff that deserve a special mention was Yusuf on the pool bar and the lady on the omelete counter (sorry keep forgeting her name) at breakfast, they both managed to make us feel special, many other staff did a great job, but some could do with smiling lessons. As I said this has been a difficult review to write, apart from the dissapointments we did enjoy the holiday, if the resort can address these problems, it would be a great holiday.

Don't go near the hairdressers!!

The female hairdresser ruined my hair turned blond instead of silver, two days of my holiday ruined when she tried to correct it! Burnt my head and all my hairline. Had to have a very short haircut when I got home as it was turning green by then.Hotel was lovely, cleaners do an amazing job. Food ok if you not fussy.
