Basic but nice stay

The hotel was a very basic and simple hotel but what do you expect when you’re not paying ridiculous amounts. We were on the top floor at the other side of the hotel so you couldn’t hear any noise at all. We were also at the end of the corridor so had no one running passed or been loud. I think because we didn’t go during peak time the hotel was quiet anyway. The room layout was perfect for a few days away. Prague is a city break destination and we weren’t spending all our time in the room anyway so we didn’t need a really posh one. The bed was very comfy. We requested extra pillows as the ones provided were a bit flat. In the bathroom you get shampoo, conditioner and body wash but we also brought our own. The shower pressure and temperature was one of the best showers I’ve had been abroad. The towels were very thin so drying yourself was slightly more difficult but it wasn’t too much of a problem. I would recommend taking a thicker towel if you can fit it in your luggage. Bed was made daily and the towels were also changed daily. The room was a very warm room. Not sure why as when visiting Prague outside wasn’t too warm. The aircon wasn’t very powerful but we had read reviews before coming so we expected that. The window opens further than other reviews made out and We found that if you leave the window open during the day and pull the blinds, the room is significantly colder when you come to bed. There was a black out blind to cover the window which we really appreciated and initially the curtain looks weird as it’s 3 separate blinds but it did the job. Overall the room was perfect for our 4 nights in Prague. We found the breakfast wasn’t like what we were used to at other hotels abroad but like said before, we didn’t pay a lot for this hotel and you get what you pay for. There are coffee machines which are great and the juice is also great too. There were only 4 hot choices each day which included 2 types of egg, what I would describe as either hot dog sausages or Czech sausages - but I’m not too sure. Along with either pancakes or waffles. There was a large selection of fruits and yoghurts along with a few pastries. The hotel looks far away from main landmarks in Prague, along with reviews saying it’s a long walk to Wenceslas Square. You don’t come to a city break and expect to not do a lot of walking. The walk to Wenceslas Square was around 10 minutes and the walk to Old Town Square was around 20/25 minutes but you learn different ways and trip advisor takes you easier ways depending on how it’s feeling. Overall, yes the hotel was basic and average but when you aren’t paying significant amounts for a hotel room, you get what you pay for. We would definitely recommend for a city break and would come again.

Basic hotel, we were room only so took a travel kettle for our morning coffee. Toiletries & hairdryer supplied. Easy to get to Wenceslas Square & old town from hotel. Found a good restuarant along the street, Matyldas, slightly cheaper being off the tourist trail but very good . Though the hotel was nothing special it was adequate.

Hotel is basic but comfortable. Room cleaned every day. Breakfast was eggs and frankfurter sausages, no bar in hotel you have to go next door for a drink. Staff very welcoming apart from night porter. He was very unprofessional and very rude. Over all experience was OK. Could do with upgrading service.
