Dit aantrekkelijke hotel bevindt zich op een prachtige plek in de archipel van Madeira. Het ligt ingebed tussen de zee, subtropische tuinen en fantastische berglandschappen. De luchthaven Madeira bevindt zich op ongeveer 17 kilometer afstand.Dit volledig van airconditioning voorziene stadshotel heeft op 2 etages in totaal 47 kamers. U wordt verwelkomd in een uitnodigende ontvangsthal met een vriendelijke receptie die 24 uur bemand is. Waardevolle bezittingen kunt u ter bewaring in de hotelkluis afgeven. Het hotel heeft een lift. De culinaire voorzieningen van het hotel omvatten een fraai café, een gezellige bar en een elegant restaurant. Voor de kleine gasten zijn er kinderstoelen. A nice older hotel with great staff.

We were booked here as part of a package to visit Madeira. Older 4 star hotel with delightful views of Funchal and the south coast. Rooms are nice, staff members were always courteous, friendly and helpful. Front desk was a wealth of information regarding the island and areas to see. Restaurant is equally good, priced similar to the expected island amounts. Again, staff there was friendly and helpful. The hotel has a city shuttle that even with a rental we preferred when going in Funchal because parking is atrocious as is traffic. We used it 3x when arranging to see Funchal or Monte. Road outside hotel is relatively busy, but few in town are not. Overall a great experience. I hope that the hotel will revisit bathroom/bathtub safety, as we found ours to have a great deal of wear, and in need of nonslip tub stickers etc. A big slip hazard for seniors. Housekeeping staff was incredible, and truly appreciated, making our stay comfortable.

Nice place for a relaxing stay. Relaxing hotel and nice staff. lovely and clean restaurant next door, bus service outside the hotel regular taxi service if required, quiet bar for evening drinks, pools lovely, would recommend.

A wonderful place to spend the New Year

I stayed here with my partner and her family for a week at the end of 2022 and had a fantastic time. For starters the hotel itself is absolutely beautiful, from the gorgeous ocean-side view out your window to the extremely high quality of the rooms themselves. The rooms are very large with a *huge* shower and, impressively, THREE USB ports on each side of the bed. Food at the restaurant is to a high standard and the portion sizes are very large for the money - I had a 20 Euro tuna steak and couldn't finish the sides. I recommend the hanging kebabs which are delicious and a lot of fun. Staff at the hotel are also very friendly and helpful. Because we stayed during the off-season reception allowed us to have a late check-out at 3pm for free (rather than the usual 12pm), which was a nice touch. Only real complaint is it'd be nice if the pool was heated in non-summer months because it was FREEZING and only the hardiest of swimmers will probably want to take a dip. A minor gripe though as I still had a lot of fun sunning myself by the pool. Location-wise you'll probably want to get a bus into Funchal town as it's about 90-120 minute walk otherwise and quite a perilous one at that. The hotel does lay on a shuttle bus but I found it easier to use the local bus service which was 2 Euros each way and incredibly easy to use. Overall I'd absolutely come back here again - it's a beautiful hotel with great, hard-working staff and incredible food/drink. If you stay over New Year's you'll have an especially fantastic time if you get the gala dinner and stay for the fireworks display.
