Dit aantrekkelijke hotel bevindt zich in een rustige residentiële buurt niet ver van het centrum van Lagos. Omringd door enkele van de meest ongerepte stranden van de Algarve biedt dit charmante hotel een romantische en ontspannen sfeer. De luxueuze buitenkant is een visitekaartje van de traditionele Portugese architectuur met een knipoog naar de romantische periode. De kamers zijn royaal ingericht met stoffen van topkwaliteit en traditionele patronen zodat onze gasten op hun wenken bediend worden. Diepe blauwtinten in combinatie met warme geeltinten zorgen ervoor dat gasten tot rust komen en nieuwe krachten opdoen. Gasten kunnen relaxen in het met stenen omzoomde zwembad, stoom afblazen in de gym van het hotel of ontspannen in een Turkse hammam. Gasten kunnen genieten van een cocktail in de hotelbar of kiezen voor een traditioneel gerecht in de ontspannen omgeving van het restaurant.

Chilled-out vibe, amazing breakfast, gorgeous rooms

Booked this hotel for the start and end of our trip around the Algarve and I can not wait to come back! The staff are very welcoming and professional and were always unfailingly helpful and are a major reason why we loved our visit! We stayed in both the main house and the additional suites which are outside the hotel. Taking the off-site suites first, these are excellent and deserve a special mention for the complete black-out rooms at night courtesy of the shutters which are operated via remote control. There's a really cute swimming pool and a nice chilled vibe. The main house though is really really special. It's a lovely old-world feel with wonderful rooms with old-fashioned balconies (that made me think of Savannah Georgia!) arranged around a low-key swimming pool. The beds in both places are excellent and noise is at a minimum. The breakfast for guests (again in both places) is incredible value for money. They include pastries, fruit, cooked breakfasts, vegetarian cooked breakfast, cakes, meats and cheeses and more! If you're looking for a quiet chilled place to get away from it all this is a great place to go!!!

We really liked this hotel. The staff was polite, the rooms were large and the breakfast was phenomenal. They gave us welcome wine, espresso and tea in the room as we’d as a free local drink at the bar. There is adequate free street parking and it is a short walk to the downtown area or the beach. The rooms have balconies with a table and chairs as well as a drying rack. We had to switch rooms and preferred the room that faced the road despite the better view in the rooms that face the pool area.

Excellent hotel in pleasant residential location with a few restaurants,cafes and a Spar shop within a short walk.Beautiful room,huge comfy bed,upmarket starched,embroidered bedding and fluffy towels.Fridge was a bonus.Some coffee/sugar/cream supplied but take some with.Pool towels are available, 1 free drink at the bar is offered and a 30 minute fee use of spa/sauna is offered but I didin't have a swimsuit so couldn't use it.Spotlessly clean attractive pool area . Breakfast is one of the best I've ever had and available till 11am.We only have 2 gripes about our stay.Firstly,the bathroom window wasn't designed to open presumably as it was overlooking next doors balcony!.So it was very wet in there after a shower and there was no electric extractor fan to take moisture OR toilet smells away.There were 2 vents in the bathroom walls...one was on an outside the wall but the other was into the bedroom.So there was always a slight toilet smell in the room which a proper extractor fan would correct.Second gripe....there was only 1 TV chanel that was english speaking and that was Sky News.All other channels in various languages.So when it cooled off in the evening,it was a long time in the room with no tv. Other than that,a really lovely stay. ROOM TIP: We stayed in an end of terrace room (room ONE)in the main house.We had a balcony with a door and window but we ALSO had a side window.The mid terrace rooms looked very dark as we walked past as the only daylight going in was from balcony.Even far end of terrace,the room at the other end near the steps to Reception and breakfast ,didn't have a side window either.
