Dit centraal gelegen luxehotel bevindt zich op loopafstand van het St. Marcusplein, het Grand Canal en de Rialtobrug. De dichtstbijzijnde halte van het openbaar vervoer bevindt zich op ca. 100 m van het hotel.Het historische hotel heeft 4 verdiepingen, werd in 1800 gebouwd en in 2004 gerenoveerd. Het biedt plaats aan 99 kamers. Tot de inrichting behoren een bar en een restaurant.De comfortabel ingerichte kamers beschikken over een eigen badkamer met haardroger en over een telefoon, een minibar en een kluisje.Vanaf de luchthaven: ga met de auto of het openbaar vervoer (transfertijd ongeveer 40 minuten) naar San Marco. Vanaf het treinstation: transfer duurt 20 minuten met de taxi en 40 minuten met de Vaporetto (waterbus). Neem lijn 1 of 81 naar Vallaresso.

This hotel is well past its sell by Date, Claims to be five star, however we had no hot water on the last day, the bathroom had mould and the atrium was covered with plastic. Breakfast was cold and limited. This is the first time I have ever been so negative but for £650 per night I would expect more.

This was a really lovely hotel. Rooms were extremely comfortable the staff attentive always happy smiling and ready to help. Breakfast was all you could wish for catering for everyone. It has a beautiful terrace right on the grand canal opposite the old customs house with a wonderful view over the water to Giudecca and St Giorgios. We would definatel stay here again, could not actually find fault with it. One tiny detail I would just check the bill when you leave as it appeared we had taken several items from the mini bar when we had not. The lovely receptionist immediately removed said items from our bill so no harm done a little blip obviously but I might not have noticed had my daughter who was looking over my shoulder had not mentioned it to me.

Our party of 6 stayed here for 3 days and it was amazing! We arrived by water taxi from the train station ( from Naples) through the canal to this grand hotel’s main entrance -and what an entrance! Gondolas bobbed along the front of the hotel terrace while staff greeted us warmly as we stepped onto the pier. Beautiful rooms designed in a regal style with gorgeous marble bathrooms and Murano glass fixtures, just as photos prove were well appointed. Cocktails on the waterfront were extra delicious and breakfast prepared you for a day of walking beautiful Venice! The staff were very professional and helpful in arranging a tour to Murano to the glass house and anything else we needed. The shopping was mere minutes out the side doors of the hotel as was the famous square. A lovely hotel.
